The closest to prostitution would be pornography cause that is legal if the person is 18 years old. If prostitution was legal in all 50 states, I wonder if it would be safe as you have people out there that would be abuse the system and abuse prostitutes like kidnapping them even murdering them or stealing their money.

I don't disagree with you, but to make prostitution legal in a way that also benefits women is very difficult. It can't just be because "it would make men's lives easier". There are no doubt some women out there who will voluntarily enter the profession, but their safety and free choice to exit the profession need to be protected.

Because of sex slavery and women getting kidnapped so that these guys who view women as products rather then people have soemthign to buy I think it should be illegal. I don't think the girls should be shamed or punished but the guys who attempt to buy them should. The only way to curb sex trafficing is to hit the demand... hitting the supply just causese them to go out and find more supply.

@goaded Perhaps. If it was then technically, only the people wanting the surveillance would be watching the porn. I think the main reason why prostitution is illegal is because of the lack of control and measures to ensure no violence and abuse occurs. If a security camera is watching every room with the guy having sex with the hooker, this can protect the hooker's well-being.

I don't think you have to be so intrusive. If someone's been harmed, it's pretty clear the culprit is the one person who was in the room with them.

@goaded You are probably right. I am just thinking about if a women was being abused, she might not be able to call for help. There is no reason (unless you want to consider morals) apart from abuse of the prosititutes why it should be still illegal.
