You keep dropping back into the definition of feminism. That and pointing out the historical representation of feminism.
This is of course to obfuscate from the current reality that in it's current incarnation, feminism is collapsing.
This discussion thread does a fantastic job of showing why feminism needs a "pope" if it wants to become mainstream.

Feminists like Christina Hoff Sommers deserve much respect but feminists like her are VERY RARE. Most of them are radical feminists/feminazis.

The multiple definitions and views actually just end up leading others to anti-feminism and sometimes MGTOW. I do not support any of these movements. I believe and hope that more women and men do not either. #egalitarianism
I don't think egalitarianism can work. I use to think it could, but not anymore. You would just have ex feminists, claim under egalitarianism, women were still not equal to men, and it would result in nothing more than a change in the name from feminism to egalitarianism.
@heavensgift2girls Maybe it can work, maybe not.. No one can say for sure. I have to say though that you are assuming too much of a once relevant movement. The movements mentioned above represent the closest example of egalitarianism now.
To me, the defining factor of all branches of feminism is the belief in Patriarchy Theory. If you don't believe that men have stacked the feck against women then you are not a feminist, if you believe that they have, then you are.
Too late for that. Too little too late. Feminism doesn't have limits, rules, and regulations. It never will. And that's the problem. That's always been the problem. There is no "out of bounds" when it comes to feminism. So that ultimately leaves room open for a free reign of terror.
When men could do what ever the hell they wanted to women, and in society, their power didn't seem out of bounds... Strange how that works.. #WhyWeNeedFeminism
@homegirl123 If by "whatever we wanted" you mean restraint then yes. Restraint on the female sexuality is of utmost importance in order for the family unit to survive. Let 5 whores loose in a village - and that village will burn down in one day. Men have a built in weakness to female sexuality. I don't even have to mention voting or workforce participation. We just don't "need" those things from women. It's just that simple. Your voting has done absolutely nothing to improve the nation. And your workforce participation has only taking away from family structure.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? That is the most bullshit answer I have ever heard. There are several villages in this world that have open marriage arrangements, and women and their sexuality, are not restricted and they are doing perfectly well. And how about we control a MANs sexuality because they have been home wrecking since the beginning of time. For example, their extramarital relationships with female slaves would almost always create a strain on their families. And before you blame the slave just know that those women were raped and forced to have these relationships with their white slave owners because they were property. Also, women should have the right to pursue jobs in the work force, how about the act of raising children become a joint task--it takes two after all. Our ability to vote has affected our society. It has give FIFTY PERCENT of the population a right to voice their opinions in democracy. Lets take away your right to vote and see how you like that...
@homegirl123 Wow. You missed the entire point. I'm talking about monogamy and a proper family unit. Not open relationships and perversion. Extra marital affairs and open relationships aren't very different. Neither will usually last very long and they are both perversion. Which is why relationships don't last very long today. Marriage has utterly failed. So when you say "doing well" that's complete cow shit. Also dogs and sluts run hand in hand. There would be no whoremongers without whores. Whores and sluts completely destroy family unit - back to my point about the village.
Yes there are communities that are doing well interms of sexual relationships. Look at the Hadza in Tanzania. Lol I think you have these shitty views of women because of your own experiences. There are shitty people everywhere--men and women-- that ruin marriages. But don't take away women's rights so you can control their sexuality for your own bennifit thats selfish and terrible. I know for me, I like having the freedom to choose who I get to marry and when. I don't want society, or men for that matter, dictating those decisions for me. Women are people too, and should be treated as such. Don't blame women for failed marriages, because marriages have been ahitty for ever, the only difference is people couldn't leave, and if they did they risked being chastised socially. women are humans and all humans should be treated equally.

SCIENCE tells us that women actually, during their hormonal cycle, want sex more than men, and men are relatively constant. The idea that women are the gate keepers of sex is a very old and outdated view. Because both sexes are sexually "awakened" for lack of a better word. Men should control themselves and women as well. And yo, your logic doesn't make any sense. "sexuality is a women's power and a mans weakness" if men cave to their sexual desires more than women then they should be the ones to have their sexuality in check. A woman might have multiple reasons why she might go after a guy for sex. Many of those reasons could involve alterior motives. As men we need is one reason - "female nakedness". And women know this. It's no secret.

Actually it seems that I have more faith in your sex than you do. If a man doesn't want to have sex, he won't. Following women don't only want money. There are those that do, but WHO the person is matters a lot also.

Also I didn't say "all women" were geared toward resources and finances - I said the "majority" of women (meaning the average woman). Once again it's not really a big deal at this point. I'm more interested in actions over words. Feminists and SJWs in general like to redefine words to suit their own narrative, rendering discussion with them useless. See 'sex', 'gender', 'rape' and others for examples.

Having the right to vote has nothing to do with feminism. Those "first wave feminists" weren't feminists. Second wave feminists, just claimed that was first wave feminism, to give their own movement more credibility.
First wave feminists only wanted the right to vote, so they could ban alcohol thereby robbing men of their freedom. For a long time women didn't even want the right to vote, because they were afraid that would mean they could be drafted into the army, just like the men could. It wasn't until the women were sure they wouldn't be forced into combat that women wanted the right to vote, and didn't do it for gender equality. Once the majority of women wanted the right to vote, it was given to them. So not only were they not for equality, they weren't even feminists.
@homegirl123 But it was women who voted Hitler into power. Women vote evil people into authority, which is why the politicians pander to women. Feminism has always been cancer, especially to relationships.

OHHHH.. Yes gender equality is essential. I think that is what feminism is, but lets be real if you support equal rights for women I really don't care if you call yourself a feminist. I used to be anti-feminism too, until I learned more about the movement and what it stands for and discovered my own beliefs actually did align well with the movement. But as stated above gender equality really is the true goal, I feel.

@Mysterioustruth This take is about understanding that the word "feminism" means different things to different people. Anyone who actually read the take should know that, especially since I acknowledged in the take that people who associate feminism with misandry may have a good reason to do so.
Look don't try to fool anybody here. We all know that what feminism means on paper is totally different then what they do. It's a hate group who despise men. It's very obvious. And anybody who call themselves a feminist isn't the kind of human been I'd want to be friends with.

But, I also know people who call themselves feminists who are hateful towards men. I personally have witnessed both situations with my own eyes. All I'm saying is, find out what feminism means to the person you're talking to before you make assumptions.
