For those of you who think as I do that rape is one of the worst crimes that a person can do, you should applaud this move. College tribunals have no place judging crime, especially when the only sanction available to them is expulsion. A violent criminal should be locked away, not kicked out of school.

Further when they have done such a horrible job of adjudicating rape accusations that they have found victims guilty when the evidence is clear and substantial that the accuser is the guilty party (John Doe vs Amherst is a good example), this should be taken as a good sign.

I applaud Betsy DeVos for her stand towards a fair and equal treatment of both accuser and accused in college sexual misconduct, and ask you to join with me in asking her to return these issues back to where they belong. The criminal court system.
