Gov Huckabee goes after Late Night Host Chelsea Handler for spoofs and comments on his daughter, WH Press Secretary

When it comes to family, who doesn't want to defend a memeber when you feel they are being unfairly attacked?

If it gets personal then maybe you need to step up, as Governor Huckabee did, for his daughter on the morning feel good Fox and Friends.

Apple of his eye, he has a strong love for sure. Jenna Bush went under strong scrutiny and yet GW at least held moral ground on notnattacking her accusers.

Huckabee went full on shame and not a person on Chelsea Handler through means of the farce of 'pray for her'. He made a mockery of his own ministers and religion by doing so. There were so many ways to say what she did and said about my daughter were uncalled for and not true but he shamed her for being a woman that didn't have kids and had an abortion at16 that she must now regret.

It was harsh. HE ATATES CHELSEA HANDLER IS BASICALLY THE SAME AGE AS HIM. she's 42 and he is 62. That she is at an age wear she needs to be cooling down [implied leaving public life and activism] she's 42.

Chelsea did make both press secretaries for POTUS subject to ridicule as have SNL and other programs. But here is the questionable and maybe crossing the line comment that set her father off.

He can be mad and say all kinds of things but as a minister I expect better. And as a human being or politician I certainly expect better from someone.

Dont abortion shame her and say she sucks at life and you feel sorry and pray.

That's never a religious or kind thing to say about anyone in a public forum. It's why people hate religion, when you use it as a device thinly vailed weapon to JUDGE people.

You can hate anottion but mot someone that has one even the Catholic Church concedes this.

A comedian poking fin at the Press secretary isn't equal to this kind of personal attack on said comedian about her abortions at 16.

This makes me really sad to see because it will make more women afraid to ever be open on anything.

Huckabee is a tool, and tools are going to tool. I've heard the name "Chelsea Handler", but have no idea who she is. I would've guessed congresswoman? That said, if Huckabee-Sanders doesn't want to get poked fun at, maybe she shouldn't be on the national stage answering questions related to her employer's absurdities with the arrogance and aloof self-assuredness of a shitty teenager who got caught sneaking in after curfew.

She was a comedian/ latenight talkshow host who recently quit her I don't know 15 year career to become an activist and yeah probably run for office. Almost certainly run for some kind of office after the midterm elections.

Right now she's just concentrating on being active and throwing support and awareness to campaigns and legislation.

I never found anything said about the press secretary to be over the line but I'm not sensitive nor should anyone in that job be nor their Daddy. A comedian makes some remarks... Sanders says horrible things to the press corps and about people that are way worse than anything launched against her on late night. Smh

It's not so much in what Huckabee-Sanders says to me, but to steal a line from my grandmother, it's "how she says it". I've stopped watching her press briefings, because they make me so damn frustrated. Like I remember one time Trump said, "We have the highest taxes in the world." A reporter pointed out this wasn't true, and instead of saying, "Yeah, that's false." or "We mis-spoke." She latches on to one part of what he says, i. e. We have the highest CORPORATE tax rate in the world, and pretends like he's agreeing with her. "Yes, we have the highest tax rate in the world. I mean, I guess sounding absurd comes with the territory considering who her boss is, but drop the attitude when she does it.

Handler shouldn't have been attacked in this manner. It was hurtful and she's a fine person just giving commentary on a public figure.
