Now, I have to admit, I don't hate guns, quite the opposite, hell there are at least a dozen gun channels I'm subscribed to on youtube, probably more. I am going to get a conceal carry license in a couple of years. So if I actually thought gun control meant British style ban guns or what happened in Australia was going to happen here? I would be very vocally opposing any new gun legislation but the fact is I'm certain that what went on in Australia isn't going to happen here. The U.S will never be like that. It just won't.
That being said, I do support some gun control, To prevent Mass Shootings from happening, the fact is a fuckload of them such as the Florida shooting, the Vegas Shooting, and dozens and dozens more were done by people with legally acquired AR 15 style weapons. So a ten round Magazine limit, and a ban on things like the AR-15 makes sense. I will also admit that my taste runs to a little older styles for guns. I'd rather have a Brown Auto Rifle than an Ar-15 and I don't mean this one

Now first off, I highly doubt this man would have supported the American Indian Movement occupying the site of Wounded Knee and getting into a gunfight with the Feds, (Honestly, I can't say the the AIM didn't have a point there especially considering that the fuckwads in congress at the time of the original massacre gave the congressional medal of Honor to 20 soldiers involved in that war crime.)
Now second, THE SIOUX AT WOUNDED KNEE HAD FUCKING GUNS. IT WAS THE FUCKING GHOST DANCE WAR. HELL, DUE TO THE INSISTENCE OF THE U.S AND Canadian ARMIES OF THE TIME USING SINGLE SHOT RIFLES, This includes wounded knee as the U.S didn't start using a bolt action till 1892 when it switched to the Krag Jorgenson. It didn't do them a lick of good. Furthermore while both sides had guns, the 7th Cavarly had these.

So your little C.S.A mark 2 is a domestic enemy. Now my parents were Air Force, my dad actually personally knows some of the guys who were involved in the bombing strikes during the Gulf War. I mention this because generally, when the Military is first mobilized they don't do a normandy beach style landing anymore first. They soften those targets up, How? by using the Air Force to hit them with Bombers.
So you guys and your little AR-15s won't be able to do shit. They will drop 40,000 pounds of bombs from each B-2 they send and you won't be able to do jack.
Okay so now you guys and your AR-15s aren't nearly as many but now they send the infantry after you right?
Well sort of. So you are running under your assumption that they will send these guys after you.
That's not what they are going to hit you with silly.
They are going to hit you with something like this
You know Air Cavarly, they will it you with some rockets, deploy the infantry, and then the helicopter will stick around and lay some fire support.
Now lets say you were able to muster a couple of brain cells in that little domestic terror group you got going on.
And you make some killdozers like that asshole who tried to kill a bunch of people and failed though suceeded in destroying a town.
Well, the infantry is going to call in one of these.
And then your little improvised armored vehicles are fucking toast.
So unless you have an Anti Aircraft Gun or a multi million dollar fighter jet you are shit out of luck.
See the modern combat doctrine is that of combined arms. The Infantry is supported by Tanks, Aircraft, APC'S, IFV'S, All that stuff.
of which this AR-15 you say you need to defend against the government, is going to be absolutely useless. You obviously won't be able to afford the actual stuff you would need to destroy them and I highly doubt you support civilian ownership of things like an F-22 or C4 or a Javelin Missile system.
So knock it off with the, I NEED MY AR CAUSE TO DEFEND MYSELF FROM THE GOVERNMENT.
Your gun while its really good at killing a bunch of innocent people, (which is why we need to regulate civilian variants of military rifles like the AR-15, it won't help you against actual government tyranny.)
So just shut up.
