The cause of lowered birthrates

The cause of lowered birthrates

Warning: The conclusion I came up with will likely be viewed as very controversial. This conclusion has little to do with any inherent bias and more based on the data that i found. Spoiler, it has to do with race so if that bothers you, you may wanna consider leaving now.

So yesterday a Youtuber named Tim Pool Talked about the declining birthrates going on around the world, as well as it being the reason why there is so much of a push for immigration to make up for the decline via low skill workers. But something didn't sound right and i wondered if that was the full story.

So i did a quick google search and sure enough my theory was on the money. Basically on a whole birth rates are on the decline, but what answer would i get if i divided it by race?(Yes I'm going there but trust me it's for a reason)

So let's go over the math a little bit. There's quite a lot of it so buckle up.

The U.S has a population of 327 Million

Dividing the Population up Caucasians make up 60% of the population which Equals about 196 Million

African Americans Make up 13% of the populace or 42 Million

Hispanics and Latinos Make 18% or 58 Million

and Asians make up 5% or 16 Million

There are some divot ends but for the sake of simplicity let's just stick to the main 4.

Now, in order to keep the US population stable, the total fertility rate must be 2100 births per 1000 women or to be more straightforward in order to contribute to population stability every woman must have 2 kids minimum.(2.1 kids per woman)

Now we also need to compare the fertility rate of each separate race compared to their overall population, sadly i could only find numbers on 2017 and not 2018 but this should be good enough.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/226292/us-fertility-rates-by-race-and-ethnicity/

So first off we have Hispanics who despite only being 18% of the population have a fertility rate of 2006 births per 1000 women(or 2.06 Kids per woman) so REALLY close to the national average and if you take the size of their population into consideration they are actually working on overdrive.(As to be expected)

Next African Americans at 1824 births or (or 1.8 per woman) at only 13% of the populace which in theory would be enough to sustain a country of 42 million(Not overwhelmingly good but enough that the country would survive)

The same could be said for Asians who have an abysmally low 1597 (1.5 per woman) But since they make such a low percentage of the population this number can be sustained.

So in terms of Fertility rates relative to their population Hispanics, African Americans and even Asians are very fertile.

Now we get to the big boy in the room with Caucasians only having 1666 births per 1000 woman (1.6 per woman) While being 60% of the population, no matter how you dice it that is not enough to sustain such a large part of the population especially considering 2 of the other categories have a higher fertility rate and the last one is such a tiny part of the population that it doesn't even matter.

This is what solidified my theory, that the population decline is actually a white person problem. Or to be more specific either white women are opting not to have kids, or people are opting to not have sex with white women. Either way Caucasian population is declining and due to being such a massive part of the population it makes it seem like population growth on a whole is on the decline.

And there are a multitude of factors that could contribute to this, the demonizing of white men, women opting to focus on career's then parenthood, the blatant power struggle that #metoo has become, or even the fact that white women as a whole have become more of a risk factor if the multiple stories of white women calling the police on minorities over nothing was any indication, or how they are more likely to abuse title 9 on campus's to safe their own face which is why they are so angry about the reforms.

Truth be told i have no idea why this is the case or why this is even happening It could be any number of things. But the bottom line is this, it seems less like a population decline, and more of a stabilization period. Eventually we will reach a more sustainable population point, but I'm sorry to say it's very likely that by then Caucasians will not be the majority.

But maybe someone else could offer and alternative explanation, what do you think? Why is the U.S birth rate on the decline?
