"Cutting foreign aid to Central America is the absolute last thing the Trump administration should do right now," Vicki Gass, senior policy advisor for Central America and Mexico with Oxfam America, said in a statement. "Not only is it morally wrong, it also counters efforts to address the root causes behind migration."

Correct me if I'm wrong, but he's slashing aid from Honduras/Guatemala/El Salvador to pressure MEXICO to crack down on illigal immigration, or else, he'll slash aid going to these three countries if Mexico doesn't act.

I'm going to put it out there. I am no economist, geographer, or an expert in any way. Think about this for a moment:

People illegally cross the border, often to escape abject poverty, and by slashing aid to a country that needs it, you make poverty worse there, and therefore more people will want to cross the border illegally.

The main question isn't whether or not Donald Trump understands any of that. It's just that he doesn't care! All he cares about is his massively overinflated ego because he's a narcissist of the worst kind.

I might not understand the economy, or immigration, but I'm not THE PRESIDENT! He is, and may God have mercy on us all.
