Other than the title, that's mostly nonsense. It's not an accurate representation of the issues at all, rather it's regurgitating a feminist narrative.

I think it should be addressed, I know some women like more "traditional" men and that's fine I guess, but there's a lot more out there

Nice thoughts but not applies at real life. Only manly men in real life get dates , love, sex , affection. Women do care of other time of men but not when they are young and only one to settle down and nothing else...

Lol, I have long hair and painted nails and I have a wife and kid and a house dude. Just be yourself, whatever that means for you. If a woman doesn't want you cause of something as minor as being your authentic self she's not gonna be a good person to spend your life with

@ThiccOrc You sound like you have a great life :D and tbh yah, I think sometimes people to blame gender norms when they that's not the case every interaction I've had with a "manly man", he's either tried to assault me or downplay my intelligence so not super keen on that

Heh, I still won't associate with sensitive timid men, I dunno maybe because I'm stoic myself and as a strong woman, I hate to babysit a boy. Yes I am very hard heartened, but that's because I'm a proud feminist!

If they have to prove it or try to prove it, then they are not manly, just acting.

Personally, I think it's just personal it's just you think to figure out and again that the point of my paper, guys should be able to choose for themselves, I don't think that just cause I am a woman saying "hey guys it's cool to just be yourself, you don't have to try so hard". makes it any less

I agree. More often than not though, take this situation for instance. when i was 22 a girlfriend of mine just left me. I was crying. The women in my life told me to "Man the F Up". My friends though took me out and we played pool and blew off steam. Not one single one of them told me to man up... In my life its always been women that wanted to force some kind of idea of masculinity on me, not guys.

    • nerdybutlazy
      nerdybutlazy
      +1 y

That's fair and i do think women do play a role in it, I've never really seen my boyfriend cry even though we've been together for a long time. I know he has cause he does when I cry and when he worries about me, but he's never actually let me see it, I think women need to let the men in their lives be vulnerable, I think it's empowering to cry it's healthy for everyone but regardless, I'm sorry that happened to yah

Of course, all my best friends are guys and I've over the years gotten to see how bad they get it sometimes, I kinda wish guys wouldn't blame feminism... cuz the reality is gender norms seem to do a lot more harm than good but regardless, I'm happy you feel seen :D that's why I wrote this in the first place for people like you :)

I don't blame feminism for anything. But O do blame me sometimes for not being manly in some situations as I should be. It's just not the way I am. It feels so good to hear that is fine. That I am not less of men for that.
