Lately it's become more popular to try to lie that for some reason Putin did not invade Ukraine during Trump Administration years because... Trump was working for Putin, so therefore Putin didn't seize the moment to invade Ukraine or do anything crazy. It's also become popular to lie that Trump was trying to weaken defenses to help Putin.

Trump literally was aggressively pushing NATO members YEARS ago to spend more on defense. When you spend more on defense, such as increasing manpower, better gear, better weapons, you become a tougher opponent. Yet Leftists want you to believe that Trump was helping Putin and Russia... by pushing NATO to beef up their militaries and become tougher opponents against Russia?

This is a flat out lie at minimum and complete delusions at best. Trump literally pushed to make NATO, Russia's single biggest enemy, tougher.

The reality is that Trump publicly pushed to make NATO member states beef up their militaries to become stronger, and pushed to beef up the military of the USA. Trump pushed NATO members to pay their fair share. Each nation is supposed to spend a certain percentage of their GDP on the military. Trump wanted them to live up to their agreement. These countries especially Germany was not happy with this.
This was not weakening NATO.

Not only that; before Trump if you remember; there was very serious risk of America getting nuked by North Korea; Trump then made a connection with the guy; that lowered the chances of us getting Nuked. They were actually on friendly terms when he left office. Same with Putin. That doesn't mean they were besties; but it does mean America was at the time in a safer place in regards to getting Nuked.
