I have noticed that ever since I started giving zero fucks about what people think of my personality, I can easily befriend almost every person I meet.

And it can't just be me. I'm not THAT impressive of a person, and I doubt everyone gets me or gets my humor. Yet when I started trying to talk to every classmate I came across, when I actually tried to spread myself out and get to know more than just my friends, I realized that it is really not hard to find good people.
People are diverse. One person is diverse. They can adapt to different situations. Barely anything about a person is set in stone. People can change.
Bear with me on this analogy: Think of a person as an ice cream truck. Almost everybody likes ice cream. There are different kinds of ice cream in the truck, and there is usually something for everyone. Even though it is all considered ice cream, people still enjoy different flavors or types of it. There are some people who don't like ice cream, but from what I've seen those people are quite uncommon. Some days, you aren't in the mood for ice cream, some days you absolutely want it. That's what most people are like.
Your personality is the "ice cream". Your personality can not be described by one word. Ever. Your personality is incredibly complex, and changes all the time. And so does everyone else's. And by eliminating the barriers of "awkwardness" and "giving a fuck", it is easier than you might think to simply match up certain parts of your personality with the personality of someone else. It is not knowing which parts of your personality you have to disable for dealing with different people. It is knowing when to use the right areas of yourself to better relate to someone else, gradually seeing what areas they use, and eventually just being yourself.
If you think of it as "dealing" with a person, that is another barrier. You're not "dealing" with someone, you are just talking with them. You are socializing because that is what people do. They are not something that needs to be "dealt" with, like taking out the trash. They are a person, like you, and it's almost always to your advantage to get to know them. To get to know what they think, what they feel.
I like literally everyone in some of my classes, and they like me. I'm not "beautiful" or anything, but I still managed to do it. I believe that most people are actually compatible with each other, they just don't try to get to know the true personality of each other enough.
So if you want people to like you, if you want to make friends, if you don't want to be some loner anymore, just open up, get rid of your fucks, and share yourself with everyone. You are bound to find someone to befriend, and all you have to do is talk as your own self. Don't think about what the "best" thing to say would be. The best thing to say would be whatever you can come up with at the moment. It's always better to be as natural about talking as possible.
I hope this makes sense. I'm not editing any of it. Any questions?
