Over the years I have had many friendships and can only count on one hand how many of them turned out to be a true friend. And sadly today true friends hardly exist because people cannot be trusted.
1. They "pop" in and out of your life
Real friends always keep in contact with you, even if it is a brief "hello how are you doing?". Fake friends will hit you up maybe once a month and hangout and then dissapear for weeks or months and bs when it comes to chilling with you again, and then when they do finaly chill with you it's months later.
2. They always do things but don't invite you
Friends are called friends for a reason! These are the people you go out and do things with. Why would someone NOT invite a certain friend to any of the fun outings they go on? Because they simply don't really like you.
3. They're always busy hanging out with other people
I once had a "bestfriend" who I always tried to text but she always claimed she was busy. Turns out she was just hanging out with other people, and even when she did was not "busy" she never hit me back up and continued to hangout with those friends instead of me.
4. They don't try to have fun when they hangout with you
Real friends always try to make the best times with you but fake friends make no effort. When they hangout with others they seem to have a blast but when it's you they ask things like "what are we going to do?" and "Theres nothing to do," and are always on there phone.
5. You get the feeling they don't want you around and ignore you
My "friend" would always give me the least attention possible and would pretend she didn't hear me when I said something. And she also gave off a bad vibe and I could just sense that she wanted me to leave and that there was something everyone was not saying.
6. They're always laughing but you can never seem to know why
They laugh a lot around you but when you ask they never give you a straight answer and they shrug it off. When people laugh and there is nothing funny around and they won't tell you why they're laughing it is most likely about YOU. After all, why wouldn't they want to share a good laugh with a friend.
...And the BIGGEST deal breaker:
7. You have to ask yourself if they are real or not
Every single time I have had to ask myself about a friends loyalty they always ended up the way i suspected. FAKE! You are not being paranoid, there are reasons why you are suspicous of them, it doesn't come from your head you are not crazy. If you think someone is fake the best thing to do is distance yourself from them.
Bottom Line: Never be friends with a fake friend. They pretend to be your friend for a reason. There are so many better things to do with your life than put up with people who only want to see the worst out of you.
