Thanks for this. I'm still recovering from a seriously messed up relationship. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to trust someone again.

Think of it this way, not everyone is this person and not everyone is like this person. It is possible to trust again but give it time. Don't swear yourself off men or women or whichever you're into, that'll be like a step backwards in recovery. Take some time for yourself but get back out there when you're a bit more together again. You will get better, and you will learn to trust again.

My Dad was mentally and emptionally abusive. I am 4 years moved away and I am still messed up from it.
Someone should tell females this. Or should guys just keep toughing it out Lol
Nobody should have to tough it out. Abuse shouldn't be happening to guys or girls, and both guys and girls need to stop dishing it out.
Sadly I don't think that's going to happen.
The only trick to stopping it is letting people know. Sadly that doesn't always work. And sadly, it's nowhere near as easy as it sounds.
