Bad days. We've all had them. Sometimes they start out that way seemingly from the time that you open your eyes, and other times something may happen that will just put a complete damper on your mood. Whatever the case may be, having a bad day can really suck. Well guess what? I'm here to bring some cheer! I came to offer you some tips that I use to help me when I'm having a crappy day. If you're anything like me, then this will be a big help. I am a lover of all kinds of music. I can sit and listen for hours and hours and not get tired of it. I enjoy making Playlists to fit all my different moods. We all have those songs that make us want to get up and dance, so why not make take a few of them and put them together a Playlist? You can turn it when you need to lift your spirits. Or you can compile a list of songs that help motivate you when you feel like giving up. Either way, find comfort in the music!



Take Advantage of Nature: Go Outdoors!

For me, fresh air helps to clear my mind. Whether I'm going for random walk, jogging around the track or just sitting on my porch, there's something about being outside that can be relaxing. In the summertime I like to sit outside at night to de-stress. I love the night air and the soothing nighttime sounds. Don't underestimate the power of nature. The beauty of a sunset can help to unlock your inner peace. So the next time you're having a bad day, go outside! Go for a walk or a bike ride. Maybe get an ice cream cone and sit in your local park. Just enjoy the beauty in nature and let it ease your mind.



Talk To/Hang Out With/Lean On Friends

I know sometimes during bad moods you just want to be by yourself. I'm that way a lot of the time. But sometimes being around other people can help. Why not call up a friend for a chat? Or to hang out for a while? Even if you don't necessarily want to talk about your problems, just hanging out could take your mind off of it. And if you do want to get it off your chest, then who better to do it with than a friend? My best friend and I are so in sync that we automatically know when one of us is having a bad day. Sometimes we'll both be having a crappy day and I'll go to call her and she'll text me as I'm dialing her number. We're there for each other, because that's what friends are for right?



Have Movie Day/Netflix Binge

I don't know about you guys, but lounging around watching movies or Netflix all day does wonders for distracting me lol. Nothing like making popcorn, curling up in bed and watching an entire season of One Tree Hill for the millionth time. Just something about being a couch potato puts me in a good mood. So maybe the next time you feel yourself drifting into a bad mood, pop a movie in. Or get lost in a new show on Netflix.



Catch Up On Rest

If all else fails, sleep! You can't be in a bad mood when you're sleeping right? Sometimes a good night's rest or a nice nap can help improve your mood. You wake up feeling refreshed. Not getting enough sleep can leave you feeling sluggish and susceptible to mood swings. There's been plenty of times that I've been tired and as a result just in a crabby mood. After a nap, I always feel better. So the next time you're in a bad mood or having a not so good day, try hitting the sheets.
