How long will he wait until he texts me again?

I hungout with my crush on earlier in the week with my friend and his friends. I texted him the following night and said I had fun. We continued to text for a little bit longer and I sent the last text yesterday afternoon. He insinuated in person and over text that hanging out will occur again so do I just wait for him to initiate the next hangout and how long should I expect him to take?

well if he doesn't try to set up a time for you two to hang out in the next few days. You can either make one yourself or just bring it up in conversation. Guys have one track minds and some times they forget. So just ask him about it. I say there is notice limit for you two to hang out. Whenever you guys feel itsunami right or you have time.

So I shouldn't freak out if he doesn't text anything to me about hanging out or at random? I figured with the holiday coming up it might be hard these next two weeks, but everyone is telling me he should be texting me or trying to make plans, but I don't think it's necessary.

No its all good. I wouldn't worry about it. He is probably just busy. If you really want to hang out with him. You can always set it up your self. But ya don't worry.

Okay, good! Yeah, he's a busy guy and our first hangout was Tuesday. He knows I like him, but i am not exactly positive if he sees me anything more than that so I don't see why he would constantly text or ask to hangout. I wish everyone wouldn't be so pushy about it. It stresses me.

I personally would rather talk, but most guys like to chat because we don't have to be as quick to formulate a response. If I were him, The next time I get a hold of you will be by phone to set up a date. I would call you after 5 days to a full week. Because I know you will be thinking about me and waiting.

Okay, very good point. I just don't know with the holiday coming up how things may pan out and if the 5 days to 1 week rule should apply. I was just thinking of shooting a text and saying happy 4th of July and go from there and see if a hangout will be planned.

Since you are already friends, I don't see a problem by texting him happy 4th, but with that holiday, he might call or text on the 2nd or 3rd.

Well I don't know if you would consider us friends or not. We met because we worked at the same building and to keep the story short we both kept giving mixed signals, but talked everyday. We hungout for the firsr time earlier this past week. If he doesn't call on the 2nd or 3rd should I still text on the 4th and if not, how long until he will say something?

If he waits more then 9 days to contact you, then he is disrespecting you or got rejected by another. You can always go on the offensive and just ask 'Hey, when are you gonna ask me out? Any guy that hears that and he's into her, will ask her out. Which a girl did that to me, and we went out.

Yeah, I decided that I will text him tomorrow or Monday asking about something he said when we hungout and go from there. I seriously don't have the balls to be that bold and say what you suggested. I'm still unsure of his feelings for me and really don't want to be rejected. I'm just hoping texting him first won't come across as being too keen.

Try waiting 2-3 days but if he doesn't text back until then you need to take the initiative and schedule a hangout time.

Yah, this. Don't wait for him. Few days is fine. You play that hard-to-get routine by not texting or calling him EVER then it may backfire on you, he could just move on.

Okay! Thanks for the input you two! I was thinking of just sending a happy 4th of July text and then go from there. Even if it doesn't end up in us making plans at least he knows I'm thinking about him. I just don't want to text to soon and appear desperate or too late and look like I'm playing a game.

Thank you! My friends stress me out about this. They also think he should be in contact with me within the next 2 weeks about our next hangout. I figured he will text me whenever he feels like hanging out again. I mean I really like the guy and he definitely flirted with me, but we will see. Thanks though!
