Why would a married women be/get jealous of a single women? Do married women get jealous of single or newly married women?

Maybe, it just doesn't make sense in my mind, but what reasons would a married women have to get jealous of a single women? I feel like she's a lot of what single women strive to get in life (the husband, house, children, career, a huge a wedding ring, etc.). I always thought married women usually pitted or feel 'more important' than someone is single.

Love is almost always better in the beginning. Even if she has the greatest husband in the world she will eventually start to take him for granted, and miss the excitement of a new relationship, where you are both discovering things about one another. That is assuming her marriage is a happy one. So I would think it makes sense for a married woman to be jealous of a woman that is at a different point in her life.

I would think that a married woman is jealous of a single woman because of the freedom she has to date, party, travel etc. and not worry about her husband, or kids. Also, a woman that has been married for a while might be jealous of a newly wed because she sees the spark and love that she may have had at the beginning of her own marriage.
