Why do people think poop is funny?

For some off reason... many people find poop just hilarious, and it's the only thing they wanna talk about, and make jokes about... but even when I was a little kid, I've never seen it as even remotely funny. And when people laugh about it, i'm left standing there, like "why is that funny?"

So why is it funny?

Humor works on taboo subjects, shock value and misfortune. Defecating anywhere other then in a toilet is unexpected and often unfortunate, hence has the possibility to create laughter.

I never found it funny. Same goes for farting. Well one time one of my friends try to light his darts on fire outside and he caught himself on fire. I laughed so hard at that one.

yes poop is funny. when i was a junior in highschool, i talked about poop for 12 hours nonstop, my friends liked it. my basketball couch was pissed!!

Spongbob was proven to lower the IQ's of children, and it bothers me that parents still let their kids watch it --- spongbob has it's moments yah... but... for people don't really get the jokes they then take it as "rainbows and hyper activity are funny" :/

My sister watches it and she has the IQ possible to be part of the honor roll and a artist lol, father watches it and is a master oil painting, computer genius and a rifleman and IT technicians for the military. The people you are talking about that running around saying those things are either just plain stupid or act that way on purpose to draw attention to themselves. I myself and also a oil painter lol.
