Why do guys find farts funny? Lol?

My boyfriend (who's 24 by the way) finds farts to be the funniest thing on earth lol :) we have been living together for the last 2 years and whenever I accidentally fart he cracks up laughing like there's no tomorrow! Lol :) Why is this? It has only happened two or three times and he just cannot control his laughter. He grew up in a household of all males (two older brothers and his dad) so I sort of get it but not really lol :) I never find farts funny becaude they're just gross bodily functions aha but his laughter rubs off on me and I end up laughing too. Guys, please explain this to me? Oh, I should mention that he thinks it's especially funny when girls fart for some reason... Lol

Lmao he sounds like me. I know a lot of the answers will say that he's immature and I hate that mindset. I look at maturity as being an adult and I look at being an adult as being financially independent and having your shit together. I've had my shit together for a while, work hard, and I'm successful for my age. You know what though? I still act like a 12-year-old with my girlfriend and some of my friends during my time of leisure. Life is too short to take literally everything in a serious way.

Agreed! My boyfriend made me find the humor in farts and now we laugh about it all the time! Lol :) a) because it's so unexpected and b) because I'm super super super classy and it almost always happens on accident and I get really embarrassed! Lol :) He makes me embrace my inner child which I love <3 I'm glad you don't take life seriously because it's fun looking the bright side! :D

Men are biologically hardwired to find women’s farts funny. The way men impress women is through witty humor and pheromones from sweat. Women are more streamlined, we have one function that serves both of those purposes. When we fart, it releases feminine pheromones that make men attached and protective of us. Also, it’s our way of being funny. Men can’t fart as well as women can do they need to make jokes, while women can’t make jokes quite as well as men can do we need to fart.

That's cute that his laughter rubs off on you. People get too worked up about farts. Sure they come out of our butts and they stink, big deal, we all do it. You have a man that has a youthful sense of humor, and I consider that a good thing.

I think it's just one of those things that gets passed down generation to generation and it was probably a form of competition and camaraderie in the caveman days.
