Is there anyone else here who has NEVER been told "I love you" by anyone?

So I was talking to this one random person, and he was extremely shocked when I said that no one has ever said "I love you" to me, and by no one I mean LITERALLY NOBODY. I'm not even talking relationships here since I've never been in one, I mean parents, friends, relatives, pets... NOBODY has ever said that to me. Lol. Is it really that uncommon? Is there anyone else here who's in the same situation, literally no one has ever said that they love youuuu? We're talking just real life here by the way. It's not like I'm max bothered, I don't really care, I'm just curious if it's really such a rare thing.

Nobody's ever said it too me either. It's not just you. I've also never been hugged, touched or kissed.

I do crave for it ever now and then but then I remind myself, just because somebody doesn't say the words doesn't mean they don't feel them. I can't say the words or express the words either, I think because nobody has ever taught me how when I was a kid - it just doesn't feel comfortable to me. But, it doesn't mean I don't love and care about people, I just express it in more subtle ways; like rather than given a hug when someone is sad, I'll always be there to turn their tears to laughter, or just taking pressure of by taking over little jobs.

I think people say "I love you" too much now anyway, at the end of the day actions speak louder than words. :)

Not really, my parents have on a couple of occasions as in a "You're our son, we do love you but don't mess up, we want you to succeed" kind of thing. It's only happened like 2 or 3 times and it never feels all that meaningful. It's never happened casually, like someone just wanted to express that they care about me - never happened. I would do that all the time if I really felt that and had someone to express it to. I'm 23 by the way.

I feel like it would be great for people's psyche's if it was said more.

I've never tell anyone "I love you" before, I don't know why, but its hard to get it out. But I guess they'd know that I love them through my actions.

My family never told me they love me whatsoever, and I don't really mind because I'm not close with them at all. As for friends, only my best friend told me once, because of some sad incident that happened.

My extended family tells me they love me, but my immediate family (mom, dad, sister) don't.

As far as relationships I've never had anyone tell me they love me then, either.

Lmao I don't even have friends who tell me they love me anymore.

That's sad. You should at least hear it from your family. Outside of my family and friends, I've never had a guy say it to me and mean it. And in that case I'd rather it not be said at all.

No... I'm alone in this world... Though my mom loves me a lot.. I just felt it.. But she never said that I love u nor I'm said to her.. But I told it everyday in my mind that " mom I love u " ... When im 2y my dad was died... & I live in a city & my mom live in my village... I didn't have any girlfriend... I never told any one that I love u...
I fall in love about 1& 1/2 y ago.. But she have a boyfriend that's why I didn't told it to her... I just told her that I like her...

I find it hard to believe that not even your own parents have never told you that they love you. Were they mean parents or something? To answer your question yes it is shocking because your own PARENTS at the very least should let you know that they love you, even if it's occasional.

But my dad always said I love you when he left or my mom said it all the time she. She leaves or hangs up the phones.

A co-worker told me that a couple months ago. I almost told her no one's ever told me that before, but I didn't want to put a damper on things or make her pity me or something.

I was actually kind of surprised that she would even say that, or that anyone would really. Mostly because I've never been in a relationship before.

From one human to another, I can say that I love you. It's not what you're looking for and you'll certainly find more infinitely more meaningful love one day soon, but people do love you. I think it's important for all of us to feel that and to be told that.

I didn't say I love you to a girl until I was 20, and even though we broke up 2 years alter, we both knew we meant it and still do in a way.

However my family says love you for everything! Every time you leave the house or hang up the phone...
