+1 yNever too old! I actually like it when I don't get clothes because I am picky and will most likely hate 90% of the clothes I might get.
But then if I receive anything else... I don't mind at all and enjoy it: games, things to put in my office, to hang on the walls in the living room... crazy stuff, funny stuff... I take it.
Know what i really wish for in the future. I like tattoos. There are Maori (New Zealand) tribal tattoos that are made with special tools called "ta moko" like hundreds of years ago. I would like one of those beautifully carved wooden tools to have it on display around here. I like traditional stuff.10 Reply

+1 yYou're never too old for prezzies! I buy my mum a prezzie for Christmas and her birthday. My sister does, too. Occasionally, if I see something small that she'd really like, I buy it for her, just to say "Thanks, mum".

My birthday is on Wednesday. My parents said they got me something. :( I feel bad that my birthday is so close to Christmas.
- +1 y
Don't feel bad!! I have a cousin that has her birthday on 24th Dec. Her parents always got separate prezzies for her. So many people combined the two, which is unfair. So she has an unofficial birthday in the summer.
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yHow weird.
Santa is for children... but Christmas is for everyone... Unless you're anti religion or some other religion etc...
Give to those you love... not on basis on if they are old or young.
In my family, every one gives. It's not children exclusive. I do not understand people who think like you. But if you dont' want gifts I wouldn't give you anything.11 Reply- +1 y
Yeah. I really wanted to get my parents something.

+1 yWith everything I've gotten for my grandma, I think she's going to turn out better than me this Christmas and she's 75!
I have a December birthday too and if my parents are stretched I offer to take a raincheck until the spring (after tax time XD) so it's easier for them. I kind of actually like that more because then everything's not bunched together.25 Reply- +1 y

Said grandmother still buys my retired mother Christmas presents, if you meant preasants specifically from a parent.
Its an opportunity to show how much you know about someone by getting a fun well thought out gift. Never too old for that.10 ReplyNo offense but you're such a weirdo. Lol Now I can understand outgroing toys but new clothes, electronics, or cash are always great gifts.

1.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I've agreed with my older siblings that the nieces/nephews won't get anything once they're 18 unless they graduating from college or it's marriage. Can't keep giving gifts forever although I see my parents do it with my cousins who are over 21.

well where i come from we do celebrate Christmas as a family anyway. itยดs a tradition for us to have a family feast at Christmas eve and then we do "Bescherung" which basically means we slowly open up all the presents we got for each other.

Yes, New Year's presents are a thing in my country, at least among us atheists, because... during the socialism, in ex Yugoslavia, New Year was like a compensation for Christmas, in every possible way.
Basically, we have New Year's tree, and Grandfather Frost (as an atheist version of Santa Claus) ;)
