I see no shame in a woman being confident and not feeling like it is mandatory to abide by rules imposed by patriarchy ages ago that a 'respectful woman' is modest in her apparel.

Not that I advocate for walking around with my boobs/ass hanging out but I see no wrong in showing a bit of skin. Nothing wrong with a woman embracing her sexuality in the way that men have been doing for millennia.

Isn't believing that respect can only be gained by covering up and showing skin below the ankles/above the neckline basically the flip side of placing a female's personal value in her body, only now in a way more favourable to conservative times and reminiscent of days when women didn't even have the right to vote/hold a job?

Also, if a woman does decide to show some skin it really has to do with how they feel about themselves, and how they are confident enough to show their assets. the thing is society shapes us individuals... so if the media shows what a girl "should" look like, that 9 year girl who sees this is gonna try to be one. Showing of their boobs or butt is completely a moral issue because they have no character or personality to show of to others by getting attention.
