Why are people still confused on the race of ancient egyptians?

I've seen so many fights over this and I think that it needs to stop. People say that the egyptians were black because it was in Africa or that they were Arabic because of modern Egyptians. People forget that egypt was invaded multiple times. Don't quote me exactly on this since I did the reaserch a while back for this project but I think the invasions went like this.

1. Nubians invaded egypt which is why there we're black rulers
2. Greeks invaded egypt so cleopatra's (who was greek) father comes into power. Which is why some people think the egyptians were 'white'
3. Some type of empire comes in but I forgot
4. The arabics invade egypt and they stayed in power ever since.

Therefore no one really knows the skin color of ancient egyptians. What people usually say is that they were a range of mixed people and different skin colors because of the invasions and other African countries coming in. I think this theory makes more sense. Here are some other things that I would like to point out.

1. All Egyptians are black because they are in Africa.
-Egypt was in north Africa and if you know of north African cultures you would know that a lot of them tend to not look that similar to west Africans, I'm not saying that all north Africans are not black I'm just saying that when people think of black, a lot of us think of a certain look that is like west Africans.

2. Egyptians are brown, dark or tan because of the paintings and sculptures. Now I'm not saying this isn't true since people probably did have tan skin back then because of the way Africa's climate is set up. I'm saying that the egyptians used certain materials to give that red/dark look. Also in Egyptian culture it symbolized that you were powerful.

While we're on this topic, what do you think the ancient egyptians looked like? and please add in your opinions/info.
