Are tattooed people sheep?

What do you think the main motivations are behind so many young people getting tattoos?

Meaning. Most people I know with ink have gotten their designs for the meaning behind them. Whether it be a tribute to a memory, a place, or maybe an hardship they've overcome. I know that's true for me as well. Although I do know some people who just get tattoos on whims and have no actual reasoning for the design they've chosen.

I don't think it's just young people getting inked, although tattoos in the workplace are becoming more acceptable (in some places), so maybe that's a push for more people to get them, and young people just happen to like the idea of having art on their bodies maybe more so than older folks?

I don't think tattooed people are sheep. Sure it's become more popular, but tattoos in themselves are unique. There are so many options, and placements for tattoos. I know some people definitely just get them to be 'cool'. But most people with tattoos get them for personal reasons. The tattoo means something to them.

I wouldn't say that. I think for many it just looks good and they might get tattoos for personal reasons. My boyfriend wants tattoos cause he sees them as symbolic. He's very creative/artistic so he just appreciates it in a different way than people like me or you who might not necessarily want them ourselves.

Got mine because I love the look of tattoos. I have one on my back and thinking of getting a second one soon. Everyone in my family has tattoos, my parents got theirs in their 40s-50s, so I don't see tattoos as a young people thing, or rebellious shit. No. For me its like artwork on the body.

body modifications appeal to them, i wouldn't get a tattoo but i've been eyeing underboob tattoos with interest lately... seriously, that's a sexy tattoo... still wouldn't get it done... but damn

All of my tattoos have personal meaning to be and I came up with the way I wanted them designed and let my artist run with the idea. Plus I love the feeling getting a tattoo gives me.

I don't know I jus like them... did u know if u have a tattoo and someone skins you the ink marks will still be there and you have a better immune system becaysyour body thinks the tattoo is an infection
