Does anyone else also forget they have tattoos?

Question

Like I got my tattoo to be reminded of it's meaning daily and still sometimes I forget that I have it haha Am I alone with this?

For example today I was at the gym with a new work colleague and we were in the locker room etc and she complimented my tattoo and I just looked at her, totally confused and just asked "What do you mean? What tatto?" .. her "the tattoo on your thigh" and I still didn't understand what she meant and then she pointed at it and just then I was like "Ohh yeah, right! I have a tattoo" lmaoo

Never had a tattoo, but have scars throughout my body

Knife scare from when I was stabbed when I refused to give up my money

Scares on my arms from acid burns. Someone knock over a bottle of acid and it splashed on me

Surgery scars on both arms for two different reasons

I have a scar in my rib area from goat. I was attacked from a mad goat and his horn punctured my my rib cage and my lung.

And I have many more scars, but no tattoos, my scars are my tattoos

Yeah I forget all the time. Basically when i go to bed and when I get dressed are the only time I see them in winter. And even when they are visible, I'm not looking at my arm most of the time. I've been cleaning before and jumped cause I thought a bug or something had gotten on my arm for a second lol.

Come on. Tattoos are painful to get. I don't see how anyone can forget they have tattoos unless they were totally schnockered when they got it and it was in a place that they can't see. Does no one ever look in the mirror? Obviously, it didn't personally mean anything to them or you would never forget it.  What tattoo?

If they forget they have them then i assume they are small and i can tolerate that. But people with sleeves and all that shit probably never forget. Half their body part is gone 😭
