Why on average, do white women age so badly?

Question

Is it really due to their lack of melanin. I know the sun's rays cause aging, and sadly not enough white women use suncreen with UVA and UVB protection as part of their daily routine. They rather tan which is harmful, wear lots of makeup, which again actually ages their skin, and drink lots of alcohol, which again ages them tremendously.

Overall Asian and black women age better. I notice Asian women look younger longer due to their neotonic features, however after 50 they fall off and just look old. Black women tend to stay looking 25-35 well past their 50's.

Too much tanning (tanning beds and the sun), and not wearing sunblock often enough. It's the same with guys now too - there's a lot of white guys around my age who are right into tanning beds and all that and they look awful after tanning regularly for a couple of years.

Another thing is poor lifestyle choices, like smoking and eating the wrong foods. That's not limited to just white people, but those things do contribute a lot to premature aging of the skin.

I think it's a lot to do with lifestyle, diet & exercise especially, which, in terms of quality, is not exactly what the western world is known for. Tanning and a high exposure to the sun without proper protection has been proven to be extremely bad for light skinned people in terms of ageing on multiple occasions as well and lastly there's still genetics although those don't actually matter as much as most people like to believe.

I think their overall health including their diet (nutrition), whether they drank alcohol or smoked or did drugs and and exercised makes more of an impact on their looks generally. A little wrinkles from the sun at 40+ I don't think is usually a huge contributor to ageing or attractiveness. Lots of Asian women have light skin too and are stereotyped to age well. Maybe they tend to live healthier lifestyles. Them aging well is probably linked to their very low obesity rates compared to all the other races.

Spot on man, I've noticed the same thing. I say it's their diet and the lack of sun protection. Drinking has alot' to do with it too. White blonde women age the WORST after 30 some even in their late 20's. My Asian buddies are always complaining about getting carded well into their 30's.

yea basically melanin stuff

they basically have better skin than most other races when young... but they age worse than most other races
equality lol

Asian women use natural stuff (like including birdpoop) on their skin and all that.. and Asian food is mostly very healthy too
so that adds to it

black people (i hear) have the best skin ever... sun barely affects them which means much better aging

Could be melanin. I also think lifestyle choices, like going out in the sun, partying, smoking/being around those that smoke, drinking, staying up late, poor eating habits, etc. can also contribute to that and catch up to them. Genetics might play in to it as well for those that can still remain youthful for a long time. Some of my family members look about 10 years younger than they really are.

In general I don't think women age well or people in general. I've seen some young black and Asian women that look super old and women who look young. I'm sure black women and Asian women age a tiny bit better on average but ultimately it's ends up with who takes better care of themselves.

Melanin is one thing, but from my observations, not the only thing. White women don't go through the daily beauty routines of Asian women and there isn't as much drive towards everyday "maintenance".

I heard something about the lack of melanin in the skin, means the sun causes more damage to the skin, which causes wrinkles. Not completely sure but I heard something about this.

Yeah you are right... its because of the skin, white skin is very (and I mean VERY) sensitive to everything, especially to sun, tanning and makeup.
