Do you think "I don't owe you anything" mentality is destructive TO SOCIETY?

The "i don't owe you anything" mentality is used often by people to show a lack of appreciation for people doing nice things for them and reciprocating in some way and even used to rationalize not caring out civil courtesy to someone such as responding back in a timely manner to their text messages or even saying good morning when they tell you good morning.

Now imagine how fucked up the world would be if everyone stopped altruistic and adopted the "I don't owe you anything" and all everyone did was take and take and never give back. Society would self destruct and crumble.

The take is highly misandric as are most of the women replies and on the question there insults about male intelligence.
