This looks cheap. A uniform is supposed to be sophisticated and respectable. I can't tell the difference between a male stripper and these soldiers.

  a foreign legion is made up from foreigners. if you live in spain you can't become a legionnaire. you can only enter the actual military of spain.

  But I'm assuming their function is the same? Do they not fight? It would seem that Spain has intentionally made them out to look ridiculous.

  this is the french foreign legion. yes they do fight, but these are just their parading uniforms, in combat they just use regular camouflage.
