Granted it wasn't as fashionable as the SS but they had Hugo boss designing their uniforms.

It was functional in the field. US army had better uniforms and the British women appreciated that. They said we Americans were overpaid, oversexed and over there. A lot of British soldiers came back from years of fighting to find their wives had given birth.
