Do you pee in the pool?

Okay folks, digsusting question time.

Was listening to the radio this morning when they started talking about research done in Canada about peeing in pools. Researchers conducted a study by measuring artificial sweeteners in swimming pools and found that an olympic size swimming pool likely contains about 60 gallons of urine. Seems that artificial sweeteners dont get broken down by the body and are expelled through urine.

Was just getting ready to go on a road trip and was planning on hitting the pool at least once... i'll not be taking my swim suit now. I can barely swim honestly, by i do like to go every now and then, i'll probably never set foot in a swimming pool again. Im a little surprised that this seems so prevalent of a habit.

And as an fyi... they found that hot tubs contain concentrations of urine to be 3X higher than in swimming pools. There were a few of the radio show hosts that admitted to doing this regularly.

im surprised there are not more honest people out there lol but i have seen weirder things. i was once in Canada and saw a few signs in the pool area about not blowing water out of your knows and into the pool for some kind germ or something once. that really bothered me seeing how i was swimming in other peoples boogers or something

when i was a kid i'm sure i did a few times. that probably stopped when i was pretty young... like 10 or so

I try my best not too. But, sometimes, it's hard to just run out every time. That's what the Chlorine or whatever disinfecting solution there is in the pools are for. If you see a lot of kids in the pool and most of them haven't exited to go into the dressing rooms for a reason, you can bet they are doing it in the pool. Kids' bladders aren't that big, as well, they are stubborn about leaving fun to pee.

I have in the past as has anyone who has been in a pool regularly when they were a kid, whether they are willing to admit it or not.
it is one of the main reasons they use chlorine in pools. and this whole thing is one more reason I don't consume artificial sweeteners. lol

I know I'm not supposed to do that, but if Bear Grylls drinks pee, then I am not against peeing the the pool because its not so bad. I'd rather do that than slip.

I don't pee in the pool. Peeing in the ocean is a different matter.

We used to have a sign at our pool, with the Creature From The Black Lagoon pounding his fist on the pool side, yelling, "Alright, who peed in the pool?"

I’ve been on the swim team for the last 4 years and I don’t think I can recall a time during practice where any of us got out to pee. If I’m not in the water and have to go, I’ll just stand near a drain or in a shower and go, nobody actually goes to the bathrooms.

Today no way, but as a kid it was routine... and a test in a swimming pool in Belgium this week pointed out there was an estimated 75 liters of urine in the water :o :-(

I remember when I went to Disney I was at the pool at my hotel, and I saw this little girl get out of the pool and stand by the steps. She peed and then she went right back in. I was so grossed out lol
