A variety of reasons if you're wiling to look beyond your very selective looking glass. A veryu small portion of women 'take all his belonging and kids afterwards' to spite him and/or benefit solely herself. You seem to have forgotten that, whether she's single or not, a woman will have to pay for shelter, put food on the table for children, buy clothes for herslef nd children, etc.. You seem to think that paying bills for water, electricity, rent or whichever, on top of the basic necessities for 2-3+ people on a single person income is difficult and so, seeing as how children come about only if a man participates, it's fair that he contribute (financially, at the very least) to raising them.
