My boyfriend seems to be overly clingy as in he calls me constantly when I am out with my friends to see when I am done. It's almost as if he'd rather just have me to himself all the time, he tells me he wouldn't do that to me though. This is where the question comes...The other night we were in bed and he says "you don't love me anymore I can tell" and I go" of course I love you if I wasn't happy I would of broken up with you already". He then says "yea but even if you did break up with me I'd kill you", that freaked me out I said "your joking right?" and he says "well if your not happy with me I don't want you happy with anyone else. I don't want to be made the fool with you toying with my emotions. If your not with me, your with no one else and ill make sure of it" he noticed how horrified I was and he goes you know I'm kidding I love you too much to do that to you. now I'm really afraid as in is he capable of doing something like that or was he really joking but trying to scare me into thinking that might happen or is that like a sign to come about how possessive he can become

Wooow, yeaaaah. The way he elaborated on it is a big red flag.

I don't know if he'd really "kill you" or not, but there is that chance I guess. But he sounds like the type that will probably make your life miserable if you ended it.

I agree with WaitingAtTheDoor, certainly alert a close friend/relative of his statement, and let him know that it seriously made you feel uncomfortable, and he needs to ease up quite a bit on the possessiveness. This does not sound healthy or OK at all.

I would personally not want to be with someone like this...not anywhere near him.

he seems to be very possesive of you. I had a boyfriend like that but we only lasted for three days cause he became a stalker. tell him that you need some space. that you will call him before you hang out with your friends and after. that way he is not callin constantly. oh and I would take some self deffense classes just to feel safe.

If you don't report it, there will be no record, so that if he does follow through, no one will no to immediately consider him.

Seriously, get a friend to go with you, report this to law enforcement, break off the relationship, get a restraining order, get away from him fast.

That's not cool, that is not acceptable, and it's not something to be mitigated.
