Men and women are different they will never be the same or fully equal. Men and women need each other to keep a balance and to survive
I feel like women are equal. Men and women have their own strengths and weaknesses at the same time, certain things are easier for men and women but ultimately that's dependent on the individual's experience.

Nothing is wrong with equality but to sham men who don't have anything about that and attacking fellow women who are happy with they're lifestyle is not fair.
That's the same for me to be pro-black and attack people who are being fair to other nationalities and races. There is nothing wrong with that. If you are a feminist then please go ahead with it but don't attack others who are not on the same track as you are on.
Feminism in the west has already elevated women to the same abilities as men and in some cases, gave them more than men. Feminism is needed where women have less rights but not in the west. Now it is a cancer in the west that needs to stop.

I personally haven't done any sort of research into the subject to form an opinion. In my a daily life as a female I have not experienced anything threateningly oppressive

Because it isn't. There have been miscalculations, but income inequality is still real.

That's a generalization that doesn't take into account differences in states, ethnicities, etc. Also some of the arguments that women work less hours don't take into account that women are still expected to do the majority of unpaid tasks like childcare, household chores, etc, while men can work longer hours, ... Hence, I listed it as a reason because there still are differences in income.
Generally women choose not to work more hours, so why should they be paid as much as men if they don't work as many hours?

Women shouldn't be paid more, women should be able to work the same amount of hours, which they can't because of domestic responsibilities that men don't take part in and that the government and workplaces don't offer alternatives for, like affordable child care, or in firm child care
Why should the government or a company provide childcare? Also, if the wife wants the husband to do more domestic chores and watch after the kids more, she needs to talk to her husband. Normally it is done by choice. Because if you think about it, the whole household gets more money if one parent works more hours than the other. Lets say both the wife and the husband have the same job at the same company, and they work 100 hours a week combined. If the husband works 65 hours a week and the wife 35 hours a week. The husband will be bringing home way more than 65% of the household income, because longer hours generally mean higher hourly rates even for the same job. And that money he brings home isn't really his money, it is their money so the wife also gets more money by not working more and letting the husband work more.
If the wife wanted to do the 65 hours a week, while the husband did 35, then that is something she has to discuss it with her husband and they decide together on how things work.
To the asker - if the wage gap does exist have you ever wondered then why businesses would not just hire women than men. I mean, if they could save 20& to 25% right off the top of their costs, why wouldn't they?

@Thisperson98 Sure, and then they get divorced and the men will have 65% of the pension, as well as a higher salary because he got ahead in his job faster because he worked more. Women don't benefit from that. Ideally the situation you described, where it's just a choice between partners would work, but it's not a thing in places like the U. S. where there are still so many gender assumptions. It's getting better, partially through feminist movements, but we aren't there yet.
As for childcare, because in a civilised society women shouldn't have to decide between children and their career. In many countries in Europe, the government already provides childcare and/or employers let their workers bring small children to work, and it works great.

Who gives a fuck about the media and the entertainment industry? They account for 0.00001% of the population. And for every woman who got sexually harassed, there are probably 2 how happily sucked a dick to get a role/award. lol
I didn't just mean it in terms of harassment, but also in terms of representation, because who you see on tv in what roles matters. But with media in terms of news even more, big news papers tend have a lot of middle class men from a liberal background, which heavily affects the stories that are reported on. Because you can only understand so much about groups that you aren't part of.

The vast majority of people don't care about the people in the media. Roles don't matter. if you watch movies/tv shows based on the race or gender of the characters. YOU ARE RACIST and SEXIST. I and most people watch movies/tv based on content not the gender or skin color of the actors.

oh geez. People do care about representation in the media. There is so much academic work done on how always seeing white people in media when you're black changes your perception of beauty, it changes your confidence levels, and so on. Having people of color only ever play certain types of characters, like black thugs, middle eastern terrorists, Indian corner store owners, also increases racist stereotypes in society.
Pointing out racist and sexist trends in society that are harmful to people isn't what's racist, pretending that white men just naturally are more talented and skillful than all other people in this world is what's racist and sexist. lol

Republicans destroyed families by insisting on nuclear families instead of having traditional multi-generational family houses and small communities. Remember the saying "It takes a village to raise a child"? That's what families used to be.
The nuclear family does work though. And conservatives encourage pride in heritage, keeping watch/care of your elders, etc.

Most people in the real world take women's rights pretty seriously, which is why we're slowly but steadily winning world wide. But people on the internet like you fail to understand the meaning of basic terms like systemic.

My feminist identity does not mean that's all my life is about. I still volunteer in elder homes, and I used to volunteer in homeless shelters. The fact that I can recognize that my gender is still facing systemic barriers to equality, does not mean I ignore or diminish any of the issues you mentioned. Believe it or not, but there are different movements for different causes, and the best way to achieve something is to work together. You don't see cancer support groups yell at HIV support groups because they don't talk about cancer enough.

It's all about action vs intent. Feminism is a movement that devalues men consistently and attacks male spaces.
What makes me think that feminism is anti men are the buzzwords for one. Things such as "toxic masculinity" or "manspreading" are all things that can be applied to any gender, but several feminists tend to use these terms to demonize men. Other examples is when for example a famous celebrity gets accused of raping someone tons of feminists will call men 'trash' just got being men. Which completely disregards how diverse of a group men are while continuing to paint feminism a anti-men. So basically I think feminism is anti-men because several aspects about it tend to paint men as pigs who do no good while painting women as do-no-wrong goddesses.
