“Kill all men” is not a bad joke. She meant it.
The statement is a repeat of the mass murder that was advocated by Feminist writer Valerie Salanis, who was the author of the SCUM (Society for Cutting Up Men) manifesto.
“Kill all men” was advocated more recently by Feminist Krista Milburn.
The statement also reflects the thoughts of Feminist author Andrea Dworkin, among others.
The evidence shows that “kill all men” has been part of mainstream Feminist thinking for half a century, perhaps longer.
The wonder is, that there are so many young women who call themselves Feminists who are ignorant of the true origins, goals and methods of Feminism. The word ‘stupid’ is not adequate to describe their ignorance, gullibility and lack of cognitive process.
Are you triggered? This sounds like sarcasm to me.
But even if it's not, I refer you to the logical fallacy called "composition fallacy" because that's the one you're currently committing.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallacy_of_composition
I wouldn’t consider myself a feminist and actually disagree with some of the extremists in the movement who call for women to be completely independent from men, but this is just that: an extremist in the movement. She was clearly joking but it is unfair to imply that feminism is not about “love and equality” because you see one radical person saying something outrageous.
That’s like saying that the entire Republican Party is racist because some are in the KKK or consider themselves Neo-Nazis. Or even more similarly, it’s like claiming that the entire Civil Rights Movement was centered around violence because of the actions of a few people in the BPP. It just isn’t a logical argument.
@chris1984
Honestly? Nothing. It’s so extreme and not ever remotely close to happening that I am unmoved by it.
And my point is going to the part of the question where the asker tries to use this to discredit the entire movement. I said it was a joke made by an extremist, never said that it was in good taste.
it's flat out unacceptable. Regardless of her intentions of whether it was supposed to be a joke or not. Openly hateful comments discriminating against anyone or any group of people is extremely unprofessional. Also I don't know when it become "trendy" to hate and threaten men but it only serves to highlight how childish the people who do this are.
I hope that journalist gets fired. That was unprofessional of her.
I am delighted that she wrote what she did.
It reminds men and the observant women of what Feminism is really about.
Feminist writer Valerie Salanis was the first to reveal this aspect of Feminist thinking about half a century ago, when she wrote The SCUM Manifesto and shot Andy Warhol.
@cth96190 "SCUM"? Is that an acronym? Hearing that makes me repulsive to "manifestos". That kind of feminism doesn't promote solidarity at all.
It is to my disappointment that some argue that the outrage against the threat is a byproduct of "political correctness" when this is a clear threat of genocide (using the word, "all", denotes an utterly significant loss). This issue is far from political correctness. Political correctness tackles a censorship of speech in replacement of more tolerant yet vague ones in order to appease feelings. This is not just speech; it's a threat to, "[K]ill all men", and it is clear and intolerant. I actually think that tolerating this threat as a "joke" is politically correct and is wrong.
Society for Cutting Up Men.
Andrea Dworkin advocated something similar and declared that all heterosexual sex was rape.
More recently, Krista (the Femithiest) Milburn advocated the extermination of men, which was changed later to the killing or castration of at least 90 per cent of men, centred around an annual Feminist festival that she called International Castration Day.

I kind of have to agree with some of the females here - although SJW have infiltrated most forms of media, this still remains a joke. A half-assed one, but a joke none the less.
a joke? she has a male child do you really think she intends to murder her son?
The huffington post is a joke itself lmao
However, had the tweet been "kill all women" the editor would be fired and shamed for all eternity.
The only good thing that came out of this, was the highlighting of hypocrisy of those on GAG, where is the situation was in the reverse, would be calling for the editor to lose his job. But in this they all claim it's a joke.
It's funny watching them claim it's a joke where if only two letters were added to 'men' they would lose their shit.
Looking further into it, it appears she deleted the tweet, now had it been a joke, why would she delete it?
I wonder how she feels about jokes that make light of rape and sexual assault. I know it's awful, but last time I checked, mass murder is pretty bad to. The thing is, you can joke about sensitive issues, or tell outrageous jokes, but unless you're a gifted comedian, you might fail miserably. I give her an F in Comedy.
People are calling it a joke, which it is...
But let's be honest... if a guy wrote "Kill all women" as a joke, it would be an act of terrorism. So... you know... I don't exactly think anyone should be joking about anyone...
I find it odd, not offensive.
Like its something a person with mental problems would say, because its not funny.
it's a trap. darpa, that boston group that built that robot who does backflips and shit, and that company in saudi arabia that made that robot a citizen to use the huffington post as a front. they combined their robot capabilities, along with the cia to artificially create this chick as a writer and editor. this thing she wrote is a front for the robot apocalypse and that was a sign...
Lmao at all these pathetic politically correct drones saying it was a joke. Its weak apologetic behavior and even weaker damage control. If it would say kill all (insert minority group here) they would be calling for lynchings and making nazi references.
It's funny how I could handpick every single one of the drones without trying, it's the same people every time.
I'm starting to think when one becomes a member of the left/far-left they start to hate themselves and innately want the death of them and everyone else who is like them.
@disgustingweebtrash Yeah seems like it. They are only damaging their own cause by it.
I'm a leftist but, the Huffington Post is a little embarssing to be honest. Its starting to be like how I imagine Fox News is for people on the right who aren't evil dipshits...
Anything coming from that source, I would take with a grain of salt.
And no matter what any man or woman says, we need each other. Like the old saying goes, "Can't live with them, can't live without them"
Honestly who the fuck cares? We know its a joke, so relax. Like a woman could ever accomplish something that required her to focus one type of one of her moods.
I know this woman LOL it’s hilarious any dipshits want to take that seriously.
If she was a guy and said she wanted to kill women she'd be in jail right now for insighting violence against women and fired for hate speech, I guess gender equality has a long way to go.
I think (some) men need to learn how to detect sarcasm a bit more effectively.
That's fine.
Feminists are working all over for better schools that teach more effectively. Eventually we hope everyone will be able to detect sarcasm a bit better.
@cth96190 No. It really isn't. It's an inside joke. Feminists are not fighting for men to be erased from the planet. We're just asking for our fair portion of the prosperity of the world, and a fair opportunity to achieve and be respected. All of what is here belongs to us as much as it belongs to anyone, so we think it fair for us to get our due, and only our due.
You have a vested interest in seeing that we don't. That's not a defensible position. And all your rhetoric in service of that position is just garbage. We don't have to take it seriously or treat it like it's important.
What YOU say about feminism is not true. I've not ever personally see you say something factually correct about feminism. You aren't involved at all in feminism, so you don't really know about who we are, what we're doing or what our goals are. And even when we tell you are goals you call us liars. So why listen to people like you any more? You have nothing to add to the discussion.
@cth96190 Yes, you cherry picker you. All to serve your agenda. Which is an unjust agenda. So all your arguments are worth exactly that. Just hot air out of a sexist. Well, sexists don't have legitimacy any more. That's just how it is.
So, you continue to say the same 10 or 15 things you have been saying since the women's movement. None of them have ever been truth because you conflate individial statements with a whole meovement, and you also deliberately misinterpret those statements to serve your agenda.
She posted that comment because what we are really doing in feminism is laughing at guys like you, and proceeding forward, despite your objections, and there really isn't anything you can do about it.
We aren't trying to kill all men. We have never been trying to kill all men. We have been angry, but we have a right to be. You know that this is true. You just keep lying.
So, again, why should we do anything but laugh at you guys and have our inside jokes about you?
What men can do is to refuse to have anything to do with women.
That is happening.
Every day, more men leave the plantation.
Since the #metoo Maoist style of madness began, a lot of companies have been talking (behind closed doors) about not hiring women because women have become too great a legal and PR risk.
The Pence Doctrine has become the bare minimum for men who wish to survive.
I am enjoying the schadenfreude of watching women be bitten on the arse by the actions of Feminists.
@cth96190 I'm so very happy for sexists not to have anything to do with women. I would really like it if you also gave up all the trappings you have enjoyed in life that came to you because a woman did the hard work. I'd also like you to form a society elsewhere, because in the US we have the Constitution.
Menare not having a hard time surviving because women have demanded rights be respected. You aren't all failing and having your problems ignored. You aren't being wiped from the face of the Earth.
But Pence and his ilk, those in an elite class that you do not and never will belong to, have twisted your head with lies so you will mindlessly serve their agenda instead of working on issues that really will solve societal problems.
They enlist guys like you with lies and propaganda that have never been true. I understand when they catch the attention of kids who don't know better, but you're a sixty year old man.
You know what you're saying is lies. That's the worst part.
It's no surprise a dingbat like her works for the HuffPost.
This is political correctness gone mad!!! You can’t say anything these days!!!
What do you expect? It's never going to happen; why worry?
Women have never killed men before?
Were u born yesterday?
Killing all men is never going to happeb
Happen*
I'm pretty sure she was joking, dont get your undies in a twist
Hey u know those jokes u keep telling everyone they need 2 stop being so sensitive over? This is one of them.
Sure you could call it a joke but if the situation was reversed feminists would have gone apeshit over it as well.
Its interesting how upset u get.
So u admit its not a joke.
You support her comment and agree that you want to kill men because of violence against women.
You clarify everything.
Hit those bitches with some big ass vibrators.
I never thought 3rd wave feminism was about equality. And it never will be.
This is what political correctness does. No one can make jokes anymore. It's not offensive if it's or something right?
mhm, and if roles were reversed, you'd cry all men are evil.
But if a man said "Kill all women" there would be an uproar.
Really? I read through the article. I love all the jokes McCombs made! www.huffingtonpost.com/.../i-dont-know-if-i-can-raise-a-good-man_us_5a09c7cae4b0bc648a0cae52
@lacorine197 @HandsomeGuy500 so what you're saying is you don't get the joke
I bet if trump said “kill all women” u would have a heart attack.
But sure, keep saying its just a joke
Except it wouldn't be a joke then would it?
Honestly op it's like you can't tell what is and isn't a joke. Where's your sense of humor?
I don't know op judging by all the mad boys on this comment it looks like you all are the angry snowflakes ❄️
@HandsomeGuy500 typical angry soyboy 😘
Why are you guys bothering to reply? Just leave your downvote and move on
@HandsomeGuy500 Just stop replying dude
@disgustingweebtrash always ruining things for me 😭
I hope her side dude's cock explodes up her ass leaving her left cheek flat. She disgusts me.
Ya ,.. Kill'em all.. So that i can spend more time with my gal😜😜..
I would never hang out with her, bad karma coming her way
When I heard it I thought it was a joke but apparently she is the joke.
Maybe to rise above and show we can be in control also.
l love all females its the best thing god done when he made females
She has a son , is he first?
Love to see them try.
How're they gonna do it? Death by snu-snu?
She should be fired. This is appalling
She is just looking for attention.
I find this to be quite funny actually.
I THINK that was supposed to be a joke.
@Toad-1 That wasn't a joke, that was a statement.
What makes Emily McCombs's post a joke is that she lists it as a new year's resolution, behind "cultivate female friendships." Which pushes it into absurd territory, most likely as an ironic commentary to what a lot of guys seem to think feminism is really all about.
The joke in and of itself isn't all that funny... the funny part is how some guy took it seriously enough to post it here as "proof" that feminists are evil.
New years resolution:
1. Cultivate male friendships
2. Kill all women
That's hilarious you're right, totally not inciting hatred which is directly hate speech from what the left-wing is constantly fighting against.
What people are mad about here is the hypocrisy, not the statement made itself.
@disgustingweebtrash It would have been funnier if you'd said something like
1. Join the MGTOW movement.
2. Kill all women.
That would have had some of the same ironic punch to it, given how MGTOW movement has been getting a lot of flak and been accused of being women-haters.
Then the original joke she stated is not itself funny "cultivate female friendships" shouldn't she have said "Join the feminist movement" then?
This is reason for it not being a joke, she has also said equally questionable shit in the past.
The thing that feminists dont like...
Its being exposed for their hatred towards men.
They wanna hide it no matter what, claim they are about love and equality and get mad when they get called out on it.
Nobody falls for that, unless they are terribly naive or stupid.
@disgustingweebtrash
I said it was a joke. I didn't say it was a FUNNY joke.
@Asker
And you'd know all about the innermost thoughts and feelings of every single feminist on the planet, naturally. You being the expert and all.
But then by that I can claim every MGTOW that says they want to kill all women is joking, why would you say she is joking when she has said equally misandrist stuff in the past
@disgustingweebtrash The difference is in the phrasing. I'm sure there are plenty of MGTOW goys who have made similar jokes.
Phrasing? So I can make multiple statements about brutally murdering someone's whole family, but as long as I phrase it in a joking way it's perfectly fine. Ah okay, got it.
Why are you using 'goys'? Are you Jewish?
@disgustingweebtrash Please don't put words in my mouth. I didn't say it was "fine," I said it was a joke. As in, not meant to be taken seriously. As in, not really valid as proof that all feminists hate men.
It wasn't a good joke, and she probably shouldn't have made it, but posting it as "evidence" of man-hatred? That's totally missing the point.
And I'm not a Jew, I'm just a very bad typist. ^_^
I never used it as evidence that feminists hate men, that was asker. I didn't, I wish he didn't put that in the question as evidence for feminists hating women because that would stop you all from dodging the question which feminists and many other left-wing ilk are very good at.
Although I don't disagree, feminism is misandry, nothing about it is equality when even the name itself has 'fem' in it. Why not just call it egalitarianism or is that word too long for the average feminist to comprehend?
However we all know if, for example, a person from the Republican party tweeted about 'kill all minorities' for their new years, he'd be kicked out of the Party (after this scenario today, I hope that such a person keeps their job in the Party just to annoy the left-wing ilk that would demand his removal from position.)
It's just a joke though, nothing to take serious.
@disgustingweebtrash It's all right, I'm sure you'll find a nice girl some day.
Same to you too, perhaps someone should hurry up, that biological clock the MGTOWs go on about is starting to tick.
Tick, tock.
@disgustingweebtrash Ooh, the crocodile from Peter Pan! Hey there!
You've slid the thread twice now, I have stayed too long anyway, you conceded when you made the condescending argument every woman makes.
@disgustingweebtrash Eh, sometimes you just ASK to be condescended to.
Oh, that is comedy gold.
That woman was wearing a skimpy outfit, she was just ASKING to be raped wasn't she?
@disgustingweebtrash Yes. Clearly being talked to in a condescending tone is the EXACT same as being raped.
Both are cases of victim blaming, used only an example.
I'm sure you wouldn't tell a woman in this situation she would meet a nice man one day, no?
Then clearly you're doing it only to me because of implicit misandrist attitudes.
@disgustingweebtrash You're hardly a victim. Some girl you don't know being sarcastic to you on an online discussion does not count as any type of assault.
And I am in fact doing it because you were starting to act like a whiny, bitter woman-hater. I wouldn't have been any more kind if I'd ended up in a discussion with a woman who spouted man-hate. When people start whining about how feminism is about female superiority, I see no reason NOT to treat this as the completely laughable statement it is.
When have I came across as a woman hater?
And why isn't feminism about female superiority when masculinity which is a trait of men is shamed and women are shamed for showing for traits of femininity?
Feminism is nothing but garbage riddled filth. Those who support it are innate self-haters.
But self-hate comes easy for you does it not? I do recall you say you have gender dysphoria. So self-hatred comes naturally for you I understand.
@disgustingweebtrash Around the time when you started bitching about feminists.
As for your other question: The name “feminism” is originally derived from the suffrage movement of the early 1900’s. At that time in history, women were primarily advocating for the right to vote. Hence, the movement was almost only focused around women, because let’s face it, why would men fight for a right they already had?
However, as time went on, feminism became about more than just upper class white women who wanted their voices heard. It became a movement for women of colour, disabled women, women of various sexual orientations, and became an opponent to the oppressive measure of the patriarchy.
The women who preach "female superiority" and "kill all men" are no more real feminists than the fundamentalists who cry to bomb all Muslims are good Christians.
Around the time when I started bitching about feminists, so when the third wave came? Interesting, it's nothing but a cancer that seeks the destruction of their nation, if feminists had their way, they'd establish a matriarchal society.
Equality is no longer on the agenda of the Feminist movement, if feminism speaks for men as well then the NSDAP spoke for Jews as well. Any idea that feminism wants equality on the grounds of the sexes is a delusion.
It's strange how now you're only trying to disregard the "misandrist feminists" (when we all knows all feminists are inherently misandrist) when a feminist who makes a joke about the wiping of 50% of the population was a "joke" albiet you said not a good one but nor did you criticise for it.
I've done plenty of looking into on the "gender" subject and throughout history this was never a thing, men whom felt like women or women whom felt like men were unheard of, it's only a thing in recent times. Which means humanity is on a downfall.
@disgustingweebtrash Clearly you haven't done much research at ALL if you think it's only a recent thing.
@disgustingweebtrash As for the joke... the woman who wrote it is not here. If I had been talking to her, ui would have criticised it to her face. What I was commenting on was how so many people seemed to fail to grasp that it was a joke.
It's a degeneracy, you are insecure about being a woman so sometimes you feel like you want to be a man.
That's what feminism did to ya, shamed you for being a woman with womanly traits and now you want to grow a dick.
It's almost as if feminists want to completely remove the natural traits within men and women.
@disgustingweebtrash Oh, PLEASE. Transgenderism was around LONG before feminism. It dates back to the first recorded instances of transgender individuals in ancient civilizations in Asia, LONG before "feminism" was even a thing.
I get that you're eager to blame feminism for everything that's evil in this world, but if this is your level of debate, you're never going to convince anyone that you know what you're talking about.
Since when did I blame it for ALL the evil in the world? It's one of the root causes of downfall right now.
Feminists victimise minorities, whom when victimised for long enough, believe they are being victimised by the evil white man. A Marxist and Nazi both said that if you repeat a lie enough, it will become true. So it's hard for you to disagree with it when a Marxist said it.
Feminism breeds self-hatred which is why transgender becomes a prominent thing. Have you ever met a Nazi transgender? No, it's unheard of because when they are exposed to the idelogy which denounces the gender which they are born as it confuses them and they have "womanly" or "manly" feelings. In this state of confusion they consume the hormones of the gender they want to transfer to, for a man he'd take estrogen and a woman would take testosterone. Even if i took enough estrogen I would feel like a woman because that's what it's made to do.
Feminism is corrupt. It's not the only problem however.
@disgustingweebtrash Every post you make just shows how clueless you are. And bringing up the Nazis? There were actually quite a few transgender people in pre-Nazi Germany, but the Nazis prosecuted and KILLED them. That's why you don't hear about openly transgender Nazis; coming out as trans in Nazi Germany was the same as asking to be sent to concentration camps alongside Jews, gay people, the disabled, and many more.
On May 6, 1933, Nazi demonstrators raided the libraries of the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft, a German name that roughly translates to the Institute of Sexology. The Institute was a privately operated research space for studies of human sexuality. More than 20,000 books were taken from shelves and burned days later in the streets by Nazi youth groups.
The founder of the institute, Magnus Hirschfeld, was a gay Jew who had been a pioneer for rights and liberation in Berlin’s thriving LGBTQ community.
You nitpicked a point I made, I brought up the Nazis because of the quote I said which is
"Tell a lie enough and it'll become truth"
Also a Marxist said it. Where's your critique on Marx?
Hirschfeld founded the institute in 1919, after beginning his career as an activist in 1896 with his pamphlet "Sappho and Socrates," about a gay man who took his own life after he felt he was being coerced into a straight marriage.
In 1904, he published a book titled "Berlin’s Drittes Geschlecht," which translates to "Berlin’s Third Sex." It was an early look at gender variance in early 20th-century Germany, which had a thriving drag scene and a burgeoning transgender community.
His prominence as the founder of the Scientific-Humanitarian Committee (which began in 1897) and the World League for Sexual Reform (founded in 1928) added to his credibility. But it was his institute that was credited with creating one of the first medical facilities in the world that could provide gender affirmation surgeries for trans people who wanted them.
Or do you sympathise with communism?
Since when did jokes centered around eradicating an entire group of people and that suggest literal genocide of roughly 50% of the population become acceptable forms of humor? Yes, it may have been a joke, but it was still completely unwarranted and is nothing but condemnable. I'm baffled how anyone can sit there and defend something that despicable just because it wasn't sincere.
And on another note, I agree wholeheartedly with his analysis of the corruption of modern day feminism. At the time of its origination, it was an appropriate movement, a necessary one even. The first and second waves were about gaining equal rights and equal opportunity, and they succeeded in that. In any modernized first world country, women are on the exact same level as men are. There's no longer any serious inequality women face to fight against. If anything, I would say that men are largely the more ill-treated sex, and all the women criticizing men for being angry at this "joke" only substantiate this.
Hirschfeld’s well-known name gave him the chance to intervene on behalf of at least one transgender woman arrested for "female impersonation." That woman went on to become one of several who had the chance to take advantage of his institute’s pioneering gender affirmation surgeries.
Lili Elbe, the real-world basis for the film "The Danish Girl," also underwent surgery there.
But the Nazis's destruction of the institute’s library destroyed all of the medical records, which contained detailed notes about the nuances of the complicated procedures, alongside untold volumes of thoughts, stories, and studies on LGBTQ people.
So don't you start telling me that transgenderism is something that's grown out of feminism and self-loathing. That's so many kinds of bullshit, easily disproven by five minutes of research and perhaps a minimum of THOUGHT.
It very much is out of self-loathing, gender dyshopria, having discomfort with the sex you were born as.
So, self hatred, you want to be a man out of self hatred.
But nontheless, nice strawman, I applaud thee.
You missed the point entirely by propping up the Nazi regime. When all I stated was that a Nazi and a Communist said "Tell a lie often and it bcomes true"
@disgustingweebtrash Honestly. First Nazis, then Marxism, now communism? Are you just throwing out names of political ideologies and seeing what sticks now?
Honestly, you are propping up the biggest strawman I have ever seen, I merely stated
that A NAZI and A MARXIST said the following
"To tell a lie often enough it becomes true."
I. E feminists victimising minorities, then the minorities actually believe they are victims and then they direct hatred and violence towards whom the feminists are making them out to be the victim of.
You have made yourself out to be a complete and utter ridiculous fool by making 3 posts about a subject I didn't even open up on. You are pathetic.
@CarpetDenim I don't recall saying I thought the joke was "fine." In fact, i distinctly remember saying that it WASN'T. But also that is was a joke, and that trying to present it as any sort of proof of how feminists hate men was just silly.
Thing is... men and women AREN'T on the same level. Things are a lot better than they WERE, certainly. But we don't have anything near equality yet -- to the detriment of both men and women.
@disgustingweebtrash Not half as pathetic as someone who claims to have done research and proves with every post that he clearly hasn't.
Anyone with half a brain can tell that I know what i'm talking about, anyone with a quarter of one knows that you don't. You saw the word "NAZI" and immediately you got triggered and wrote up 3 paragraphs that weren't even related to what I was talking about.
@disgustingweebtrash If you'd actually READ it, you'd know it was related to your insistence that transgenderism was something that happened only in recent times and was the fault of feminism. Since you also mentioned Nazis, I thought I might actually help you with a bit of actual research and tell you about the history of transgenderism in Nazi-Germany.
You did ask me for a critique on Marxism and asked me if I supported communism, so:
I think Karl Marx had good intentions, and I think that many aspects of Marxist thought are viable, but the corpus is incomplete and, let's face it, outdated in regards to certain aspects of economic, political or social theory. As for communism... again, as an idea it has merits, but as the Soviet Union demonstrates it does not really hold up to the practical reality, especially not when people like Stalin twists it to their own advantage.
Any more questions?
Transgender happens because of one's self loathing for the sex they are born as (gender dyshphoria, e. g. you.)
Feminism feeds self-hatred to people and promotes the idea of "transgenderism" even to the point of allowing children to make life changing decisions such as a sex change. This is a left-wing agenda to poison the mind of the young in the nation to destabilise it even further.
The ideologies of east and west have completely flipped, the east is more nationalistic and patriotic than the West and the West is more Marxistic leaning than the East it just goes to show that the East does not want to commit the same mistake it did decades ago. But however feminism wishes to take us into that direction that they did long ago.
Feminism is a cancer, and what do we do with cancer? We get rid of it. And you haven't answered Carpet's question of "How do you think women are oppressed in today's society?"
Also Stalin > Trotsky pig
@CarpetDenim I didn't defend the joke, i said it WAS a joke. There's a difference.
As for oppression: I assume you mean today's Western society, as the oppression is a lot more blatant and visible in, say, the Middle East. But, even in the Western world? Things may be equal on paper, but in practical terms? Not quite there yet:
* Women are less likely to hold managerial or supervisory positions, and when they do, their positions carry less authority.
* “Housewives” are perceived as in the lower half of all groups in social status, below “blue collar workers.”
* Even when both partners earn wages, women do twice as much housework and child care.
A lot of this can be blamed on gender sterotypes. Men tend to be seen as more authoritative and women more communal in orientation. In workplaces, this can readily lead people to expect and defer to men in charge – and to look to women to carry on routine group maintenance efforts.
Is this huge great oppression on the level of "women aren't allowed to vote" or "women are property"? No, of course not. But there are gender inequalities. Besides, I need only to take a gander around the media to see the misogyny overflow. So much hatred...
... and this misogyny even strikes back at men. Any time a boy decides to wear pink or acts like anything other than a macho brute, here come the cries of "feminization" and "masculinity is being killed!"
I think we have full gender equality the day a man can decide to wear a pink dress and high heels, and nobody makes fun of him for it.
@disgustingweebtrash You know about as much about transgenderism as you do about feminism, which is approximately nothing.
It looks as though you don't know what i'm talking about, you have to know what i'm talking about in order for it to make sense for you.
There there diddums, we're not all smart, it's okay.
@disgustingweebtrash True, we're not all smart. You're a prime example of that.
Must be smarter than you because you don't even understand what i'm talking about. You see the feminists with their roses and colouring books without seeing them for what they truly are.
@disgustingweebtrash Dude, really? I'm the one quoting statistics and actual historical events, whereas all you do is make blanket statements about things you know nothing about, and somehow I'M the one who doesn't see things for what they really are?
You quoted historical events that weren't even part of the original point, as I said, I quoted that "a lie told often becomes the truth" which was said by a NAZI and a Marxist.
A lie told often becomes the truth.
Feminists victimising minorities and women for example, is this all so hard to comprehend?
@disgustingweebtrash I quoted historical events that showed that transgenderism and feminism, despite your claims, hat NOTHING to do with each other. I get that you're not smart, but you don''t have to act THIS stupid.
And if we're talking about feminists "victimising" women and minorities... I bid you to take a look at some of the threads we've participated in. PLENTY of straight white men playing the victims and whining about how women and feminists are oppressing them.
Feminists in no way have the monopoly on playing the victim card.
Oh please, straight white men playing victim on an online discussion is NOTHING compared to in actual real life where feminists make minorities out to be victims of the evil white man.
If they keep repeating this rhetoric it will become "true" in their eyes, minorities will genuinely believe they are disadvantaged which would only lead to more racism in society, honestly aren't you a progressive? Surely you want to END racism and not cause it?
As for historical events, you quoted them where they were not necessary.
@DinaM You have got to be kidding. Feminists give the most incredible display of playing the victim card I've ever seen. They come up with imaginary problems to bitch about and consistently use them as a guise under which they criticize and blame men for all of their troubles and woes in order to spread the misandristic ideals they hold.
@disgustingweebtrash Oh, well, if we're playing that card: Feminist hatred is NOTHING compared to the hatred and loathing women have endured from men over the centuries.
I think straight white men are just peeved because they're being taken into account after having gotten away scott-free for centuries. True, there will be those who exploit the system, but that is true of EVERY system.
And the historical events clearly WERE necessary, since you demonstrated you had no clue about the history of transgenderism.
Women were never loathed and hated by men, stop playing the victim. If you were you wouldn't exist and consequently neither would we. Men and women love each other but feminists and MGTOW extremists seek to divide that eternal bond.
Scott-free for centuries? If you knew anything about history you'd know WHY they got off scott free, you know why? Europe in history was the most ADVANCED continent on Earth, with this position in the world they explored, found the New World and West Africa, had blacks been in our position the EXACT same would happen to us, we would have been enslaved. The Celestial Empire thought of everyone who wasn't them as SUBHUMAN and they got a real kicking when they tried that in the Opium Wars.
@disgustingweebtrash... I'm sorry, I just find it hilarious that after all your complaining about how feminists want female superiority, now you're preaching white male superiority.
White male superiority? Are you serious? I'm giving reasonings for why historical events happened, it's logical. If none of that happened YOU wouldn't have happened, the butterfly effect - if something as simple as a rock slightly to the left of where it originally was, you could potentially have never existed.
Point out where I preached white male supremacy, because I assure you, YOU WILL struggle
@DinaM I've actually spent a lot of time listening to and doing my research on those two groups and the problems they discuss, and I actually agree with almost every single thing they bring up. I've personally witnessed a lot of the troubles they claim to have regarding women, and I admire that they use rationale and sense in their arguments, whereas feminists are largely driven by having gotten their feelings hurt and by a desire to garner pity and sympathy. Women in society are held up on a pedestal, and they are coddled and provided with an abundance of support from the moment they're born. Feminists want everyone to believe that women are perfect angels that could do no wrong and are never the ones at fault in any given situation. Even when men seek to have their issues addressed, feminists perform insane mental gymnastics to somehow put the blame on patriarchy and societal expectations of femininity. It's outrageous honestly.
@disgustingweebtrash
"Europe in history was the most ADVANCED continent on Earth, with this position in the world they explored, found the New World and West Africa, had blacks been in our position the EXACT same would happen to us, we would have been enslaved. The Celestial Empire thought of everyone who wasn't them as SUBHUMAN and they got a real kicking when they tried that in the Opium Wars."
WHITE MEN ARE SO MUCH BETTER AND MORE CIVILISED THAN THE BARBARIC OTHER RACES!
You're straying from critical thinking into emotional assumptions.
Prove me with facts, on how Europe wasn't more advanced than Africa throughout history, at a period, China was more advanced than Europe and another period the Middle East was more advanced than Europe, hence the "Golden Age of Islam" which expired in around 1200 at the fall of the Abbasid Empire.
Not at one point did I ever say that Whites are superior. I mentioned that a certain continent was more advanced than the other at a certain point. Where did you pull race out of? Genetically, Italians and Spanish people aren't white. Therefore i'm not white. Why would I preach white supremacy when i'm not white?
Also the Celestial Empire is the CHINESE EMPIRE (MING, QING)
@CarpetDenim I think you've fundamentally missed a few points. Your description of feminism sounds more like the extremists, or the parodies of feminists we used to see in comedies. Or, for that matter, the vision of feminism that people on this site seems to have.
"Women are put on a pedestal" -- yes, they are. But that's ALSO a result of sexism. Women are pampered and coddled like children because we're seen as children; not strong enough to manage without the men. In so doing also being reduced to children who can't do the big important thing because they're just women. It's a form of sexism that's detrimental to both men and women -- women because they're not allowed to be independent, men because they're not allowed to be special.
@disgustingweebtrash Please. I'm not bothering with more historical facts with you. All you do is whine about how they aren't relevant and completely ignore what I'm saying.
You just gave up, you realised I wasn't preaching white supremacy now you're backing off into a corner by saying how I ignore what you're saying.
The reason I ignored because I didn't ask about the Third Reich. I did not ask at all. You only assumed I brought up the Nazis and instead did your 2 minute google and copy pasted all the information you read.
Now when I explain to you how what I am saying is not white supremacy you're in utter shock that I outwitted you.
@disgustingweebtrash Oh, you were preaching white supremacy. I was using the exact same retoric you've been using all this time, putting words in your mouth, taking everything in the worst possible meaning, and drawing conclusions. Because that statement COULD be interpreted as a "white supremacy" statement, I decided that it DID.
Not so much fun when it happens to YOU, is it?
It's fun when it happens to me because I was able to prove you wrong, but now you're visibly upset that the person you kept calling dumb out witted you.
Instead of worrying about whether you're a man or a woman you could try critical thinking.
@disgustingweebtrash Instead of going for the personal insults you might want to try doing some actual research before you start talking about things you have no clue about. I've proved you wrong several times during this debate. Don't blame me if you decided that was "irrelevant."
Alright fair enough, transgenderism isn't just a thing in recent history and as for personal insults isn't that how all this started when you decided to go for a condescending remark? It is. Isn't it?
But Feminism promotes self hatred of one's gender and encourages "transgenderism" even to the point of letting kids change their sex.
It was irrelevant to the original argument at hand. That feminism victimises minorities and makes out evil straight white men to be monsters.
Failing to realise that heterosexuality is the default sexuality.
@disgustingweebtrash Trust me, nobody fails to realize that heterosexuality is the norm. We just want to be acknowledged as existing as human beings.
Feminism and transgenderism are not about self-loathing. If you're trying to make it true by repeating it enough times, it's not working.
It essentially is self loathing as you don't like the gender you are born as which is innate self hatred. Feminism PROMOTES that hatred by demonising natural traits within genders.
@disgustingweebtrash Feminism does not promote self-loathing, not does it demionise natural traits within genders. Feminism is about OVERCOMING self-loathing, not WALLOWING in it.
Nor, and this might shock you to learn, is transgenderism about self-loathing. Yes, I know that's the stereotype - the "self-hating trans person" and all that, but this is a gross oversimplification at best and downright wrong at worst.
Claiming a transgender identity isn’t about rejecting the gender we were somehow meant to have because our self-esteem is too low. It's about embracing and manifesting who we actually are in a society that invalidates you, marginalises you, and rejects you as trans.
We can hate the (often violent) imposition of gender upon us without actually hating ourselves.
I don't really care
