I think it depends on where you're from. Most people around the 18-19 where I live look significantly older than that photo you posted, at least the males. Females on the other hand don't seem to change much after reaching 13-14. As for myself, I haven't been asked for ID since I was 12, as I could grow a decent beard even back then. (Of course it took awhile back then, taking about 3-4 months). So from personal experience, I'm going with no for males, yes for females. In general anyway. The photo you posted would be about a 15 year old male here.

Depends on the person. I've met people in their 20s and I thought they were still early high schoolers. I've also seen high school guys with a full beard and look almost 30.
I knew a guy just out of high school, he was 19 and already going bald on top.
It really depends on the person.

Many do look very young. It depends on the person, though. A lot of the people in my grade don't "look their age" at all. Some could pass for 20-something while others still look 12. Being a teenager is just an all-around awkward transition. Some are lucky and end up looking like actual adults by the age of 16, while others... like me... still look like middle schoolers. At least I'll look youthful when I'm in my 30s/40s.

A lot of them act like kids, even throughout their 20's but still. With makeup & kids going through puberty so early I'd say that a lot of kids look and act much older nowadays.

Depends on the 18 year old. 18 year old *boys* look like boys.

I talk to an 18 year old Portuguese girl on Skype. She looks like a woman. And she can more than hold her own in every department. Far from being naive. She's a little pain in the arse :P

If we're talking about the attached image as an example, then yes. "Modern" men don't look like men anymore (in general). Both sexes are shifting to the middle, so guys become more feminine and women become more masculine. Not only in regards to looks, but also character. Men become crybabies and women become aggressors. And it'll get worse as time passes. "Be progressive they said. It'll be fun they said."

They look like teenagers, which today, 99% of the time, are children.
An 18 year old in 1940 had the maturity of a 26 year old today. I think part of the reason the look young is they don’t know how or definitely don’t want to grow up faster than they have to

Yeah, I agree. Ever since I was around 24 years old 18-19 year olds didn’t look like adults, they looked like teenagers. At 28 they look like little babies :)

Can you answer my question too :
Does this make a guy gay or bisexual? ↗

It depends really. A lot of kids were raised on estrogen, some, like me, were raised with testosterone. I look like I could pass for a few years older than I am. (I'm 20) The only issue is that have body hair everywhere. One of my friends call me a Silverback Gorilla because I have so much back hair and chest hair. (Of course not enough to really look like one)

Estrogen gave kids some feminine traits, like less hair, higher voices and can even confuse ones sexuality.

@nuffsaid Legally they aren't but biologically they are still not fully "mature" especially mentally.
Looking back at being 18... as much as you think you knew everything, you realize how immature you actually were.
