1. Because in western society, the goals of First and Second-Wave Feminism were achieved decades ago, with rare exceptions that tend to be corrected when called out.

2. Because Third Wave Feminism isn't and was never about equality, it was about female superiority and "revenge" against men for the past. And ironically, when you look at all of the unintended consequences, it actually works AGAINST women's overall interests as well as against men's. The only ones who really win are those who gain power and money from pushing for it (Feminazi lawyers and movement leaders).

3. Because for all their cries and shrills, Third Wave Feminists have almost no interest in helping women in non-Western societies who actually ARE oppressed and abused. They remain focused on trying to force feminism even where no one wants it or thinks it makes any sense, such as allowing women into the Special Forces.

4. Because a lot of Third Wave Feminists (aka Feminazis) have very little grasp on reality, aren't interested in the truth or any other viewpoint than "men are evil rapists who want to subjugate women as much as possible and need to be punished and penalized for the actions of earlier generations."

Because people take it too freaking far. We have equal rights. There is no gender wage gap. We get the same things men do. And those of us that aren't feminists are actually bullied for stupid stuff like liking the color pink! News flash: I clean and cook because I EJOY it and I'm GOOD at it. I wear lots of pink and have lots of pink things because I LOVE the color. Feminists try to shame other women for the things we like and that's not and ok thing to do. The real feminists did the work back in the 50s and 60s and we got our results. Men don't have any rights or access to things that we dont, unless you're counting urinal cakes 😂

Because real feminism doesn't exist anymore. Females have all the same shit that men do. We have equal rights. All women do these days is bitch because they can't flaunt their bodies in public. Confusion on the true definition. I'm a feminist. Not a feminazi. I live in a time of third wave modern feminism where there are a lot of women who call themselves feminists but aren't really. So whenever I say I'm a feminist it leads to misunderstandings. Ugh why must some women ruin it for the rest of us?

as far as im concerned, i hate a lot of feminists, rather than hating feminism itself.

in my experience, a lot of feminists have an implicit belief that their supposed moral superiority entitles them to treat people like shit. also, while the metoo movement was originally about denouncing sexual harrassment coupled by abuse of power from unscrupulous bosses, nowadays it has turned into a misandristic witch hunt where any guy who has been accused of sexual harrassment is inmediately lynched online, even when there is no evidence at all behind the accusation.

as for feminism, i do see some value to it. i agree with it on the importance of consent, that women should have abortion rights, and equal pay for an equal job.

but i am also quite skeptical of some parts of feminism.

historical: the claim that women have been oh so opressed throughout history seems rather far fetched, simplistic and hard to believe. i could believe they could have fared worse in some societies and historical periods, but in ALL of history? dubious, at best.

biological/scientifical: admittedly, im fairly ignorant. still, it seems to me feminism and its think tank, gender studies, claim all differences between males and females are socially constructed, and deny biology has any role in these differences. while the question of which differences are due to culture and which ones are due to biology is certainly an interesting one, i think the answer of feminism and gender studies is far too simplistic and quite dubious. i've also read some claims coming from gender studies contradict findings in more scientific fields, and that at least some feminist and gender studies scholars outright reject the scientific method, claiming its a construct of "the patriarchy".

"Everybody" doesn't, or there would be no feminists in the world. Now, if you're asking why so many people whole the movement in contempt, that's easy. The feminist movement has been more or less taken over by so-called "third wave" feminists, who have surrendered the original purpose of feminism to preach a radical orthodoxy of gynocentric misandry. The talk about "oppression", and "the patriarchy" and revel in their victimhood. They prefer to blame, rather than work towards real solutions or acknowledge that others are now being hurt by their goals.

THAT is the "feminism" of today, of the college campuses, that so many of both men AND women are rejecting.

Feminism as it was made was fine, but in Europe at least feminism isn't needed anymore. We are equal by law.

Feminism = Nazism = Communism = Capitalism etc , all of them have the same role Hypocrisy , and always start with the ideology to make something good.(all of them in the end have the "ism" don't know for sure maybe something Jewish). The thing is when you asking equability you must be sure is the equality is everywhere and not for feminism advantage. Let's say that you are married ok? and you get pregnant , after giving birth woman have a pregnancy leave for 20 weeks (here in Greece) , after that 20 weeks, she start working 4-5 hours per day but paid for 8 hours, for 2 years, and the man taking only 3 days of pregnancy leave and that's it. I understand that woman need a month get ok from pregnancy but really where is the equality here?
If you want equality make it everywhere an not only where is interest you, i can give you many examples where woman are more advantage that man in law. Stop being hypocritical and be fair.

Because, although feminism is the movement of equal rights for women (not all genders, as that's Equitarianism), there are a lot of loud voices (a minority of women that are speaking for the whole because the majority isn't stopping them) on social media and YouTube that have twisted the original meaning calling all men evil, etc. etc. So it's this new wave that bothers people, not the original ideas from the previous waves.

Because of the way it gets used in the real world. Feminism is about equality, but based on what so many women have told me: women don't really want equality. Women generally seem to want to be able to do everything a man does, while still getting the benefit of being treated like a lady.
