Someone who is straightforward will tell it like it is, isn't afraid to tell you when upset. Passive aggressive people like to play mind games and expect you to get the hint

I prefer Japanese style passive-aggressiveness, but I need to explain. It's actually rather direct but requires understanding the customs. For example, in Japan, it is considered extremely rude to directly say "no" since that could humiliate the person. To save them the grace of such an explicit rejection, Japanese tend to say, "I'll think about it" or "maybe" which is considered a polite way of saying "no" without actually saying it. Yet I'm not sure if this can be considered passive aggression since every Japanese person knows how to read between the lines of what is being said and deduce the underlying meaning. There are also no mind games involved; it's mainly a matter of etiquette.

Straightforward they let you know what I am thinking though I fall somewhere in the middle cause with friends and family I straightforward with people I don’t know then I’ll be making my reading more I don’t need the drama learned the hard way.
