I'll also give you a technical answer. Ignorance is far more common than knowledge. You can become an expert in any field and you will still be profoundly ignorant on most other subjects.

What you see as idiocy is literally the display of ignorance of either yourself or the people you think are idiots. A dog will think you're an idiot for not petting it. Sometimes you're there dog, and sometimes you're the person who has other things to do. But when your assessment is correct, and those you observe are putting their ignorance on display, you should also realize a fundamental truth of existence--it takes very little broadly available knowledge to survive and reproduce. Whatever you think a random "idiot" should know, I will guarantee that they do not need to know in order to survive, reproduce, and their children do not need to know.

I hope that you develop some patience with people. You may be the smartest human ever born, but that only means you need even more patience when dealing with others.

Human growth and development is greatly influenced by their environment. If you think about it, everyone is prioritizing a ton of other things in their environment rather than deal with a psychological issue that they cannot understand or afford. I'd say that most of our population is misunderstood and misinformed...

That's 7,632,819,325 people wondering what their purpose is, wondering how to overcome their money issues, love issues, religious issues, food issues, shelter issues, media issues, medicine issues, etc while most have two major "sins" going on in their own life. That's so many people prioritizing their basic needs and selfish issues, rather than wonder if they are the idiot and the problem... Some people can't even face themselves in the mirror. The human mind has a defense mechanism that projects issues onto others, sometimes it hurts people too much to face themselves and their own demons.

The idiot's think you're an idiot too. Im not being offensive, -what I mean is that people tend to diminish other people's ideas or actions without thought. Example: average person will have disdain towards a slow driver if they're a fast driver, and being held up or forced to drive slower from slower traffic. Both probably think the other is an idiot. Really smart people embrace difference of opinion and new ways of accomplishing things as opposed to thinking different equals idiot. Because we've created a comfortable society where natural selection isn't active anymore and because the smart people know it's economically better for them to have few children (1 to 2) and the "idiots" just keep on reproducing this problem has and will become much worse.

A relevant example of this will be how the European reproduction degree is around 1-2 meanwhile in Africa it can go up to 10.

I don't think it is. At all. Different people have different backgrounds, different interests, and different upbringings. Not everybody is interested in politics and if I were to have a discussion with them that would quickly become clear. Some people are hardwired in a way that allows them to do quite well on IQ tests, other people not so much. Some people have book smarts some people have street smarts. Some people understand sentence structure and logical word order and do quite well on the SAT. Other people not so much.

I'm not sure what an "idiot" is to you. Somebody who places stock in these tests or somebody who fails at these tests? Neither? Not sure, so I can't really delve into the specifics. I believe every single quality except empathy can be altered and changed. Except in the cases of extreme mental deficiency, nobody is destined to be stupid or smart. Those are my personal beliefs.

Easy. Average people are almost sort of empty headed, like children. You put something in front and they’ll follow it without asking questions. This is something smart people will notice. There exist smart people who are corrupt and power hungry, so guess what they do? No, they don’t want to teach and make the idiots less stupid. Because we as a society have bred many generations of children that have convinced the parents to go along with their every ideology, to which has allowed the most recent generations to grow up believing that education is not important, that trophies are to be given to everyone regardless of effort or talent so that "nobody is left out" and the degradation since then has only progressed into what we have now, an uneducated populous that blindly follows another person or corporation's ideologies, all so that they can "fit in".

Even here on GaG, there are some questions/responses asked/offered that--if the individual truly thought about them or had a modicum of common sense--they'd realize their response is erroneous and why.

It is because we have a system whereby everything is set in favor of the lowest common denominator, so that they can succeed too. Basically, we live in a society that loves stupid people - politicians also benefit from having stupid people, as they can have the balance of power to decide an election, and are easy to control (our thoughts and therefore actions).

The system is thus akin to sheep in a pen being controlled by the farmers and their dogs.

To answer your question, there are so many idiots because most people are sheeple. You can thank minority groups for this.

Well depends on were you look at it and from where.
Let me explain if you are in a poor country for example, it's more likely to run into idiots, because they either didn't have the chance to study and educate themselves, or because they didn't find a way to show off their intelligence.(intelligence doesn't equal studies)
If you are In a rich country/continent (we are talking Europe/USA/Japan etc...) the internet, the media, the TV shows, the influencers etc... sometimes have a negative impact on the being specially kids. (From a personal experience: a girl I know could tell me the names of all the Kardashians but didn't know who was Leonardo Da Vinci).

All of us view the world through our own perception. The idea that the work is objective is a somewhat difficult idea for some. We all have our own confirmation bias as well. To acknowledge we may have inherently faulty ideas is emotionally difficult. I think people would rather feel right than divorce the feelings to embrace a more objective, logical viewpoint.
