I think so, they have idealized and fake view on women appearance but women too, we're biased because of what we see on tv.
Personally when i saw the Victoria secret model without make up I was very disappointed, They looked so plain for most of them. very faw from what we're used to see.
I think so. Men want women to look like stars and when we do put the makeup on that make stars look like stars, we are told we are wearing too much make up.
Then you have to learn how to wear makeup better
You cannot please everyone. No matter what you do or achieve in life there's someone who will despise you for it. That's not restricted to makeup. We all judge everyone all the time. It's part of the human condition.
Guys in general I see out in reality? No. I actually see a lot of guys with girls who I think the guy actually could do better than.(That's the shallow part of me. I also believe they are a great match overall).
Guys on websites like these? Absolutely. I think internet dudes are the bottom of the barrel and they want the best there is in the world.
I dont really care, im not into celebs anyway. And such skin is not uncommon, nor is it a turn-off for me.

What's slightly worrying is that you seem to think a lot of men idealise porn stars. They're just prostitutes.
sure some do. just like some women have unrealistic expectations.
but i tend to think most people have expectations that are determined exclusive of what celebs look like
Men's expectations are incredibly low. This is proved by the fact that fat women have just as much sex as average women. Guys will stick it in anything. Everyone knows that. That applies namely to sex--romantic options have more standards--but not by much. Men are tricks, in general. But, for the purposes of this conversation, it proves that men do not expect women to have perfect, "celebrity" like skin to give them a chance.
If anything, men need to significantly *raise* their standards for women.
Men are default attracted to like 80% of the female population. Contrasted to women who are default attracted to like 20% of the male population. This was proved via OkCupid statistics, along with other dating app statistics. Women rated 80% of men as *below average attractiveness* on OkCupid. A statistical impossibility.
Women have high standards and expectations of men, generally. Men have low standards and expectations of women, generally. That is the state of things.
It's okay if you do not have perfect skin. Men will not give a shit. It's women who set those expectations, because women are the ones competing for the top 20% of men. So women constantly raise the bar of attractiveness--or personality--because they are fighting for the ideal mates.
Men don't really give a shit, but they *will* pick the hotter chick, if they can. Unless the other women can outdo the hotter chicks with personality characteristics. But if men can't get the hotter chick, they will be perfectly satisfied with a less attractive woman. Women know this, so they constantly raise the bar for the top guys.
On the same hand, top tier women play a more subtle game. They tell average women, "You're perfect just the way you are." That way they don't get more competition and average women stay complacent and average, leaving the top 20% of men to the top tier women.
Since women as a whole seek the top 20% of men, that is 80% of women fighting for the top 20% of men. That leads to heavy competition and constantly raising the bar--between women.
On the other side of the coin, 80% of men fight for the bottom 25% of women.
@Fran_S Thanks for reading. Good 'ol PUA and evolutionary psychology. I think it's important to know, male or female. Accepting our nature and the state of things as they are, rather than what society tells us is the state of things, because society has a tendency to romanticize everything.
And, by knowing motivational drivers, we can work on bettering ourselves, rather than being complacent and thinking, "Ahh, I just have to find someone who 'loves me for me' ", and become someone more desirable, better.
All that "enhancement" does is sharpen the image, what your seeing in those photos is the computer trying to guesstimate what the pixels inbetween look like. So those photos are as realistic as the ones that are touched up.
But as for your question (which you seem to have already made up your mind). No, we're not stupid. Every guy who's ever spent any time on a dating site can tell you what we think about none celeb photos that have filters and are touched up. Also who believes that celebrities aren't touched up to hell.
... I mean their skin looks pretty good up close. I'd say if you're on par with those photos you're lucky to have really clear skin with just a little bit of acne and bumps to use concealer on. Very pretty skin.
I'd say the majority of men are less obsessed with women having perfect skin than women are. Most of us think that just about any female who's obviously putting in effort is fairly attractive. Maybe the top end guys are more picky because they can afford to be, but the other end of the male spectrum would be happy with 80% of the female population but can't get any of their attention themselves.

I think that's just the lighting, honestly. In natural light or softer artificial light I think that makeup would look just fine.
Lighting and motion really make a huge difference. If you were interacting with any of them you wouldn't even notice because there would be eye contact. We really only "see" any level of detail in a space about the size of our thumbnail that's right on the point our eyes focus on.
If anything women have more unrealistic expectations. If you go on dating sites like tinder; men swipe right way more than women do, and I'd say that is based on looks. Everyone has what they think is the perfic mate in their head, but I'd say men are much more likely to lower them than women are.

u want a dude with blue eyes that is at least 6 feet or higher good facial features , good trimmed beard takes care of himself has 1 or 2 hobbies tha he likes

older then you are
good job, education
good parenting
sexy attractive
desire for home and children

What you see in social media and the internet is hardly matching to real life. I dont see guys expecting super hot girls, that's just a fantasy you see them checking out hot girls on Instagram but they KNOW these girls are fake and edited, the same way i like a pic of hot dudes knowing that most guys dont actually look like this.
Reality is very different than what the media wants to make us believe and pressuring us to look a certain way saying it's what all guys like , when it's all bullshit.
It's too easy to pull that card. I wouldn't blame genders. I'd say society has forced the idea of perfectionism upon us. Whole thing comes down to how much you're willing to let it control you.
You also see men trying to meet those unrealistic criteria. Getting tattooed, ruining their body with steroids, taking penis enhancements, eyebrow removal, complete body hair wax, getting facial skin treatment. Convinced they have to be CEO's or generate millions to impress women. And why? We're convinced that's how we're supposed to present ourselves. With no flaw or error.
Even though, if you look around. Fake finds love with authentic. Pretty with ugly. Ugly with ugly. Pretty with pretty. "Beauty" lies in your own idea of standard. Not everyone elses.
I'm sure there are a few idiot people out there who think the Photoshopped images of Hollywood represent real people, but to be honest, I've never met a single adult man who was fooled. Moreover, I've only known a few who were shallow enough to expect a Hollywood body on a woman who works full time, raises kids, etc.
I think most of the "perfect skin" issues our society has are from women, not men.
I was very lucky and got flawless skin. I never have to wear makeup and i never had acne. And for anyone to expect someone to have skin like mine is ridiculous. Im lucky when it comes to skin, but unlucky in other ways. The point is, everyone has flaws, no matter how perfect someone may seem
Men and women both have plenty of unrealistic expectations, clear skin isn't one of them for men tho. Most guys won't care as long as she doesn't have very noticeable acne.
So either you just have really bad skin, or you're getting insecure for no reason cause you're in your 30's or something and want to blame it on men.

Celebs have the best makeup artists in the world but it comes at a price of wearing thick makeup to look flawless, and that’s bad skin. Makeup and spots and uneven skin is caused mostly by greasy makeup..

Trust me when I say that we are well aware of the fact that you aren't the embodiment of perfection. Please also trust me when I say that we have never once expected you to be.

As long as you aren't visibly overweight, are hygienic and have a decent personality most guys will try that.
Some women want all that plus a stable job, skilled at romance and in rare cases they won't even date a guy based on his genitalia size or abs.

We're not that stupid... We obviously know these women look "perfect" in photos because of photoshop and makeup. It's quite obvious. Nobody is that perfect. Without all that crap, their skin has flaws just like everyone else. I have no expectations for women to be perfect. I get breakouts and I know other people do too.

I don't think so. We know that there is the glamor and then there is the reality. The women we come into contact with in daily life and have relationships with are beautiful to us.

Celebrities have human skin too - and it is not flawless, of course. I don't really think that it's a big deal in general, or at least for me it isn't at all. It's the overall look that matters, not a skin blemish or two.
No. If you look at data on how men rate women it actually looks naturally normalized in distribution: there’s a few hot, a few not and most are rated average, which is what you would expect. Interestingly, women don’t rate men like that.
