Gender is not an identity. Gender is an agreement with society to act a certain way, and have society treat you a certain way.

A woman carries herself as a woman. A man carries himself as a man. The requirements are low and hard to define, but they are there. Society, as a response, treats them differently.

In western civilization, your gender literally doesn't exist. People will always treat you as either a man or woman, think of you as a man or woman. Straight people of one of the genders will be attracted to you, and based on your birth certificate, you may be drafted or not.

Your gender is not yours. It is like your name; it really belongs to society in order for them to have guidelines on how to treat you. If I want people to say two names simultaneously while speaking about or to me, society will cast me out. So don't be surprised when you are cast out for wanting to be treated as both genders.
