1. Do they think they are really morally above others? 2. Do they think they are creating something unique and special that was *never* tried in history before? 3. Do they think their ideology would be so widespread in the Western countries if not because of the hundreds of billion dollars that Western elites have been giving to their cause? 4. Do these college undergrads - who can't even fix their own life - really think they can save the world, create "fairness" or something like that?
DISCLAIMER - Not ALL liberals do this, or think this, BUT...
I think it often starts with a lack of self reliance. They grow used to other people doing things for them, so that by the time they get to university (many of which these days see their role NOT to educate, but to function as a factory line for the production of SJWs), they're not doing gratitude, they're doing 'rights'.
By the time they graduate, they're knee deep in debt, that they won't take personal responsibility for, they are unable to find a graduate job, because of their entitled attitude, and a vicious spiral of self hatred has begun.
So they use the internet for escapism, watching porn and embracing identity politics. Before too long, they've become a literal cuck, and they spend their free time, meeting up with like-minded idiots on demos, calling for 'white genocide' etc.
Because they never speak to anybody who doesn't hold similar views, they elevate these views to the status of absolute truth, so that anybody who dares to hold different opinions is an 'uneducated' (this goes back to the university eductation which is their central focus of identity) 'racist' (see above). Such people have to be opposed, in any way, shape or form.

Libs are used to live in an overprotected environment, without having to concern about responsibilities and duties, at the same time they have no good role models of morals.

There is an incomparable difference between the NEW LEFT (which is the DOMINANT version of liberalism in the Western World) and the outdated, forgotten CLASSICAL LIBERALISM, whose values happen to match with what you described in your opinion.
Honestly, I'm having just as much trouble trying to figure it out. However, I saw a video on youtube that was like 'divide us into democrats and republicans' and one of the democrats explained that he was a democrat because he was a human trafficking survivor (if that helps you understand).

Because they believe the good of the many is above the needs of the few. This is the basis for their whole moral system. Conservatives base theirs off individualism. Just means everyone is ultimately responsible just for themselves.
The only problem is liberals have no empathy, that is why they run rampant steam rolling people. Until they are the one steam rolled they will never think twice about it. This is why once they finally get a real job and have a family many drift conservative. Responsible people are the ones usually getting steam rolled.
The believe that every body should have equal pay, benefits, the right to a home, and food, and medical care. They think the government should take care of everybody. The problem is you have to take away from the successful ones and give to the unsuccessful ones for this to happen. And that is a socialistic or communistic society which has been proven not to work - it disincentivizes the ones that truly do make things happen.
And why America was founded as a 'republic', not a democracy. In the latter the majority rules, and when that happens eventually the have-nots vote to take away from the haves for themselves. This is why monarchies were formed in Europe - control over the people was maintained for their own good. There was no way the King's wealth was going to be taken away and distributed amongst the common folk.
The US consitution is the best of all worlds. Capitalism just works - people are free to give over their wealth for what they really want - not have it take away by the government in the form of taxes, and redistributed out amongst the common folk.
It’s a good question. I used to be very conservative in high school and college, I come from a super republican family in the rural south. As time gone on I realized that some of the right wing beliefs towards censorship, free speech, and the economy, can be a good thing but I disagree with the general views on sexuality, gays, abortion, minorites, and drugs. Abstinence is expected in my family especially if your a girl and serial girls in my family had abortions before even turning 18 only because they were scared to buy condoms or get on birth control because the parents could find it.

Liberals say and do things that feel good and empathetic but result in terrible consequences and can ruin neighborhoods and cities. The idea is more important than reality or the result. A perfect example is: The idea of raising the minimum wage is more important than the reality that business won't hire as many people and replace them with machines because it will be too expensive with the minimum wage laws.

As long as they feel they are good people it doesn't matter what consequences will follow, The same can be applied to: Illegal Immigration, Welfare, Affirmative action, taxing the rich, etc...
So 98% of THE USA’s wealth (that means the ACTUAL money we work for and spend) is owned by 2% of the population. Believe me... you’ll never be in that 2% buddy.
So toiling away for $7 an hour but unable to afford housing, food. Etc. is GOOD thing?
Oh, that argument that companies will hire less people is silly. Companies are already hiring less people as a matter of policy. Not because they can’t afford it, they are losing workers to keep more of the money instead. Workers now work harder and are either stuck with stagnant salaries or forced to take a pay reduction.
As far as raising the minimum wage putting them in dire straights... just look at any industry today. ROBOTS do the work that humans used to do. Auto industry? Mining? I laugh every time Trump said he’d BRING BACK COAL. Coal mining uses only a tiny fraction of manual labor than it did a few decades ago. And they’re making plenty of money.

I see differences between old liberals and current leftists. A leftist is an out and out statist. A real liberal is more in touch with reality. Trouble is they are either dying off or afraid to speak up. I read real history, not the crap in public schools. Dan Moynihan pointed out some of the negative impacts of the welfare state. He was criticized by the Left. Moynihan is no longer with us. Now we have Marxists who make no attempt to hide it.
Mostly intelligence and empathy. Have you noticed that in the US the most educated cities are majority Democratic, while the less educated rural areas are majority Republican?
