Would you vote for Candace Owens for President in 2024 if she ran?
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qKpEl9jJ4dA&t=26s
It’s a ways off, but she adds a refreshing look at the younger generation, that has Ben hijacked into submission by the progressives. They hate her bc she’s smart and on to their games. The progressives despise smart conservative black women bc it doesn’t fit their racist agenda that keeps black people down, where they belong, in their world. If owns continues on this trajectory, she may be the first woman president. And that would cause the progressives to implode on an epic scale... lol
She is pretty spunky.
Hell yes! That's an awesome video. I did, however, lose some IQ points by reading the other replies.
*Who is she
* I don't know her
*I don't want Trump to win
And I'm surprised that Rev Al hasn't killed her by now.
Thanks for the MHO.
No. But I will be 18 in 2020, so I’ll be sure to vote for Trump. 😊

Stipulating that I am a Republican but no fan of President Trump, I have no reason, prima facie, to give either much consideration to give Ms. Owens or President Trump. This presuming that is the choice being offered.
Ms. Owens, however, beyond offering policies with which, in general, I would not be in agreement, has been grotesquely irresponsible in her handling of here Georgia election defeat. Specifically, she has trafficked in the kinds of racial identity politics that is, particularly in the current cultural context, a case of playing with political fire.
Ms. Owens was defeated by about 55,000 votes in her bid to become Governor of the state of Georgia and has yet to concede defeat. Claiming that she was the victim of a rigged system and a "racist" system. Giving Ms. Owens her due, her opponent was the Georgia Secretary of State and had control of Georgia elections.
In that connection, the voter rolls were purged by the Secretary of States of those whose address did not correspond to their residence and various other irregularities. This eliminating a number of potential voters including presumably potential minority voters who would presumably have been favorable to Ms. Owens.
To be sure, the Secretary of State would have been wise to recuse himself from his duties to enhance trust in the process. However, by no account would the SoS's updating of the voter rolls have amounted to a 55,000 vote margin and Ms. Owen's implications to that effect are noxious.
It is bad enough that we have, at the moment, a President who is reckless in his language, content to pour salt in the social wounds and destructive of established institutions. Suffice to say, the nation does not need another, particularly one who is throwing fire on the tinder dry question of race relations.
That Ms. Owens would throw about such intimations, sometimes explicitly so, in a state like Georgia - with its history of racial segregation - is both reckless and potentially explosive. In this then, Ms. Owens is little better than a Democrat version of Mr. Trump. One Donald Trump is sufficient.
Disraeli famously said, "A nation's liberties are embodied in its institutions. The march of intellect is not enough." Democracy and cultural stability are dependent on a rich web of political, legal and social institutions that codify and reinforce those habits of thought that conduce to ordered liberty.
Political leaders, then, who call those institutions into question are playing with fire. Whether they know it or not, they are calling the rule of law and democracy itself into question and that, as history has repeatedly demonstrated, is not likely to end well.
To this is added the almost elemental nature of racial animosity. Stoking such fires cannot help but be wildly dangerous. Yet the likes of Ms. Owens explicitly, and Mr. Trump less directly by appealing to the worst in human nature, are content to recklessly toss lit matches onto the gasoline pile.
It is despicable and an immediate disqualifier. The President is not only, constitutionally speaking, the executive head of government and commander-in-chief of the armed forces. He or she is also Head of State and as such has a symbolic and ceremonial function that should ideally unify the country.
This role is not unimportant. Particularly in a country like the United States, that is racially, ethnically, and religiously diverse. In such a country, the temptation to identify with one's own, to the expense of a common national identity is always great - and as such is exceedingly dangerous.
Mr. Trump and Ms. Owens are not then very much different. Discretion plays its part here and both would be wise to soothe the ruffled social feathers. Instead, they nurse and exploit grievances and this then festers, particularly among their most ardent supporters.
It is self-indulgent and positively acidic at the social level. It will be good when Mr. Trump finally takes his leave. We do not need another like him.
Sorry, BIG mistake. Brain freeze. I was thinking of Stacey Abrams. My apologies. Suffice to say, I am not a fan of Mr. Trump. Regarding Ms. Owens I reserve judgment. From what I have seen she is quite impressive.
That said, I have not seen much beyond her testimony before Congress and a few media appearances. I would certainly be willing to give Ms. Owens the fullest consideration.
Again, very sorry for messing up your question. That's what I get for writing on 4 hours sleep.
@nightdrot- maybe I’m confused, I thought it was a woman named Abrams, who lost the bid for governor, and has yet to concede, citing the voter issues you mentioned? Stacey Abrams, I’m not sure of that first name, I’m sure her last name is Abrams. Candace Owens is a young woman who gained notoriety for her advocacy of prager university, and does speaking engagements around the country, usually causing left wing students to protest, a la Ben Shapiro style. She is also one of the comms director for a well known conservative action pac on college campuses, the name escapes me atm...
But I’m am quite sure Candace has not run for any office, not yet at least. You should def look at the YouTube the asker provided.
@Girther10 Yup, as I mentioned in my follow-up, I had a brain freeze. Apologies. I agree that Owens is pretty impressive, though as I also mentioned in my follow-up I don't know a great deal about her beyond a Congressional hearing in which she gave an excellent account of herself.
My mistake - a big one, in fact. Unfortunately, it did not hit me until I hit the "Submit" button, and while they allow the questioner to remove and answer, they don't allow the answerer to do the same. So all I could do is apologize for the error.
Have to say, when I make an error, it is a beaut.
@Girther10 Hi - You could have just asked my girlfriend, actually. She would more than testify to my - ahem - occasional failings. As she has had to remind me.
Anyhow, I actually do feel like a dope. It was just total brain freeze. We had a very busy Easter Sunday and today neither of us worked and the kids had the day off from school so we made a whole day of it. I just figured that I would squeeze one question in.
Oh, and by the by, I quote from my gf: "Honey. Would you lay off? The world does not need to know your every thought on every subject."
"Ha!!," thought I, "They sure do."
Anyhow, I was flying through my typing so fast and I knew that something was not clicking but, heedless of the warning signs I soldiered on!!!
Presto!! A superb piece about the wrong person. Oh well. Win some, you lose some.
Anyhow, pal, thanks for understanding and hope you had a good holiday.
Yes, I would. I agree with a lot of her ideas.
Breaking news!!! Tomi Lahren and Candace Owens going at it! Who is going to win? ↗
I dunno. If she could be Tomi Lahren in a three round bout, I'd vote for her!
I think it depends on what she does in the next 4-5 years, who else is in the campaign race, maybe who she would choose as a running mate, etc.
I would be open to it. But I wouldn't be voting just to fill some "I'm cool because I'm voting for a woman" or "I'm cool because I'm voting for a celebrity" type deal. I try to vote my conscience. I don't vote just because of popularity, or "because a vote for anyone but the two main people is a vote for the person I can't stand" - I've written in candidates. I don't declare my party. I hate voting "straight ticket." And I'm leery of even voting for a "public image" sometimes; because it often quickly changes.
But based on what I've seen, I agree with many of her talking points... and I might be open to it if she ran. But personally, I'm just trying to work through my own life and not obsess over 5 years from now.
I don't dislike her but she has done nothing to suggest she would be capable of running a country, Trump at least ran many multinational businesses and was in a leader ship position for decades, candace has not been so I would be against it (despite agreeing with much of what she says). Rep. Dan Crenshaw on the other hand, If he gets a bit more experience under his belt I would be glad to have him as president.
I don't know if she's a viable presidential candidate but I do admire her very much. She is a strong, independent and talented woman who refuses to live on the liberal plantation run by the overseers of the Democrat party.
Hell no. Women should not be president of any nation. They shouldn't participate in politics either. Women are generally swayed more by emotions and hormones. Candice is no exception.
Its a man's job to set up a state and protect the people in that state. Women are not capable protectors.
I hardly know anything about her to even have an opinion about her.
Hey, @Physics-Man, Ask this @Pamina Here WTF did she Block me? SHE DONT KNOW ME. lolxx
I like her as far as her attitude and she's clearly a driven woman. But I doubt I would vote for her, unless she morphed over the years into a candidate I could actually get behind.
She has some good opinions... but i need to know more about her targets and opinions to answer that question.
Saw her interview on Joe Rogan. Jesus Christ is she unintelligent and unedicated.
"unedicated"
@up_64 You can watch the interview on YouTube and make up your own mind. I'm not a big fan of Rogan because he rarely ever challenges his interviewees. But in this case that woman said such incredibly unintelligent things that he just had to point it out to her. It's strange because she then also admitted to be uneducated on the things she commented (in this case it was specifically climate change) yet she has strong opinions on them and wants to implement policies according to thos uneducated opinions? Sounds like yet another a batshit reactionary demagogue to me.
2024 ? Wtf? ... got enough on America’s plate making sure pussy grabber is booted out in 2020
She is very smart and beautiful , I am not sure if I would vote for her it is to early to tell. Her views Is very different from a lot of people to say she is not smart is not right
After electing a reality tv star, a college dropout as the nominee would be a continuation of the grand intellectual tradition of the Republican Party.
Unlike conservatives, I'm not afraid of people of color. It's funny you think that one black person validating your biases totally fucks up my lunacy. My political ideology is that I can't disagree with a black person? Cool, you sure showed the depth of your understanding there.
Saying she's smart is quite a stretch as she wasn't even that interested in politics before she saw there's a profit to be made in coddling American Evangelicals and their amoral worldview.
For people who apparently hate identity politics, you sure do love bringing it up every chance you get.
Wait, you said she’s a college dropout, implying that black people don’t finish college... lol your the actual definition of projection, now you can’t even come up with an original insult, you need to follow my lead in a desperate ploy to make yourself look relevant, the Left has been using the African American community to prop up their dishonest campaign to try their o act like they care, all they really care about is their votes, but that coalition is showing signs that they’re getting wise to the progressive lies that rule their world, they think they’re really that dumb. They show up every four years right about election time, and throw their crumbs at them, smile, slap their backs, fist pumps all around, then slither back into the woodwork, with the other light fearing cockroaches... lol your petrified they are getting wise and without the black vote, the Dems will never win another election, as it should be... they’ve already taken progress backwards, now they want to climate change us into the stone age... lol
The government is al things to all people, if you have any problem, the govt. will fix it, more programs more programs more programs... they’re running out of other people’s money... just in time for the next election, wher they’ll be roundly defeated bc they think their labels and victimhood keeps everyone mad and unsettled and fearful of anything and everything...
And so, now she’s “so smart”, mocking her politics, of course you think she’s stupid, just bc she’s a black conservative, you’re making my case for me, just keeep being yourself, it’ll be a rout in 2020, then imagine the screaming and wailing, there’ll be mass anarchy, rioting in the streets when Trup is re-elected, you habpvent even accepted the last win, this one wil absolutely kill them in their tracks. Future archeologists gists will see this as the advanced TDS that killed off the bad seeds, humanity will thrive once you regressive are no longer around to drag us down..
I said she's a college dropout because she is one. I thought you guys hated when people are called racists and nazis for no reason. Again, projection.
This word diarrhea is truly nauseating. It must be a conflicting life for American conservatives. Your ideology is mostly about being against certain types of people. That's why Republicans will be losing more and more elections in the future. Normal people actually want to build and prosper, not have their lives revolve around opposing other people and new ideas.
Conservative ideology has nothing to do with “certain types of people”, it’s about less government, individual liberty, and lots more including making America great again for everyone, not just the elites. The Dems are fraught deeply seeded racism, yet they weaponize the word and aim it at anyone who disagrees with them, unable to comprehend that others might disagree much less speak out. College students nationwide protest and ban all conservative ideas and speech.
I guess she'd barely be old enough then. We'll have to see. But, I do love Candace.
She seems good. Also she would just be old enough. I googled that she's born in April 1989, so she turns 35yo during the possible campaign.
I have no idea who she is, so I can not say at this point.
I would never vote for a woman President. Women have no business voting, let alone being political candidates.
If she was the nominee, yes, but I don't think she has enough experience to make it that far, at least not yet.
I would not vote for her if she was candidate here in the Netherlands. Not that she would realistically have any chance
