Do you feel women have began to take the #MeToo movement too far,?
What are your thoughts? Be as bluntly stated as possible
Typically throughout history, a pattern I've noticed is that we humans have a bad habit of going to the extremes - it does not matter if it's politics, religion, social justice warrior movements, etc. There's actually scientific reasons for why this is, but that's for another time.
As for the Metoo, long story short, it has gone too far because it is crime nowadays just to be a man and the gender discrimination is very bad - I can't say hi to a little boy or girl without someone thinking I'm child molester...
On the flip side, the Metoo has brought to our attention the abuse that the powerful have inflicted and must be stopped, but that doesn't mean I did it, or the "patriarchy" is at fault - just dipshit men and women. Should I blame all women for the crimes or pain of one or a group of women? Of course not.
Last thing, (you can probably tell I've spent countless hours analyzing all this), what the Feminists do not understand is that by constantly blaming and criticizing men, they are creating oppression. Oppression creates revolution = men's revolution = MGTOW is the crack in the damn/warning sign. History has proven this a thousand times and it will do so again...
The problem was that women were hailed as rape-martyrs, which made them want to expand the definition to things like "stare-rape," "almost-rape," "mental-rape" (lewd thoughts about a real girl), etc. If it had been confined to a pat on the back and didn't have the publicity, it would be fine, but everybody wants their five minutes of fame.
Most accuarate responce for sure👌
It went in the wrong direction when it went viral on Twitter.
I was at the me too founders speech, she basically said it became a symbol of popularity but victims who actually suffered still suffered, not enough donations, not enough mental support, this symbol is abused.
And thats what saddening to me the most.:(
Thanks for the comment❤️❤️
I think there are people who take every movement to far. Of course there are going to be women who say it's harassment if a guy just talks to them. Doesn't make the movent any less important for who actually have been wronged.
I believe in the movement yes, just like you and i both stated i dont like the abuse of it. Its not right to the women using it that actually have legitimate stories behind it
@Alpha09 Not necessarily. While I'm glad losers like Harvey Weinstein have lost their throne, any person who misrepresents their product, company, family, etc all have a domino effect on the reputation of the entity they work or come from.

#MeToo has gone way too far. They began to take it way too far years ago. It's a problem not only for men, but also women. It's a problem for actual victims of rape as women are now less credible when it comes to rape. It hurts more than it helps. I'm completely against it. I believe it's absolutely immoral.
I really don’t see much from the movement anymore. You’re following the wrong people.
Otherwise, I don't know it depends on what you’re talking about that you don’t think should constitute as rape.
Examples throughout all the mens comments
Began to? It went too far ages ago!
Obviously but its clearly still going and getting worse!. Not so much the movement but calling rape in general
Begun to take it too far? It went too far almost as soon as it began. It turned into a witch hunt and a tool for women to hurt men almost immediately.
Recent example right here at GAG... watch the video in the question linked below and then take a look at the poll results, especially the females. A full 25% of the females who responded believe the MMA fighter sexually assaulted ring girl, which is just insane and goes to show how much many women just hate men and desperately want to find any reason to take them down. This is the shit men face in the world we live in today.
The concept of MeToo was great, but just like anything else feminists do, it has been taken way too far and used as a means to hurt men, because that's what modern feminists do.
MMA fighter "sexually assaults" ring girl after one win, then is fearful of being anywhere near the ring girl on the next win. Just or Unjust? ↗
It was stupid and baseless from the beginning. It was a hashtag a girl would post online and then immediately say "I don't want to talk about it". So outright saying they've been sexually assaulted or raped, putting it out there. Then not naming names. It was a way for girls to garner sympathy online over a very serious issue, then make literally no steps to resolve the matter or do anything about it.
It's not even that it was taken too far. It was a useless movement from the very beginning. It wasn't raising awareness. It wasn't helping women not feel alone. It wasn't doing anything of substance. It's just a hashtag, attached to angry feminist groups now and nothing more. It's meaningless.
They sure did. It was the last straw that created MGTOW. This has been happening long before #MGTOW #Metoo and #beleivewomen though. But #Metoo was the catalyst for MGTOW in my opinion.
The Red Pill opened my eyes personally. I'm not MGTOW but it did help me see the global issue.
Devorce and Custody Court showed me the rest.
Are those documentaries or books,?
Documentary that turned a feminist against her own movement. She saw the toxic reality of the Marxist Construct. Cassie Jaye needs a Humanitarian Award in my opinion.

Yes it's taken too far, I have had to deal with the law on more than a few occasions because of some stupid shit my roommates have done. And it wasn't even in the slightest that serious smh. It sure is cause the law loves that shit. Heavy charges for litterally nothing. Sore subject for me, cause my friends have gone through the system over some of the dumbest ish...
Like what,? Im always curious to know of what people get accused for besides the obvious
They've gotten arrested and I've had my house searched and all electronics taken based off of some sexual texts he sent a women who was willing and going with it. Then she snapped one day n got jealous an tried to say that all his advances were not wanted. He's out now but on top of m losing my laptop. He went to jail for 2 years for that bs. He's a good kid too. Crazy, but not that kinda crazy. It was messed up
Awwwh poor guy thats sad
Was wrong since the moment I heard of it. Then again my first point of contact was girls using it to get back at guys they dated/didn't date. A very misproportionate means of payback I'll add.
I am absolutely confident the movement has done some good for a lot of people and probably had fantastic intentions. I have unfortunately only seen the bad of it. I mean the first big #metoo scandal where I live was a b-celeb coming out with her having been at a party, jumped into a tub topless with the party owner who had then proceeded to try and kiss her. Which she didn't say a word about for 15 years to then sensationalize as sexual harrassment/rape.
I have heard of the occassional Thank you speeches from within the group's own forums. And while some may be fake, those certainly paint a more positive picture.
#metoo is nothing but whiny crybaby's that scream rape to get what they want and to further their agenda. At a basic level, it's really no different than someone yelling racist and pointing in order to get what they want or further there agenda of being above the law. It's extremely sad when all you have to do to make money, or get something you want, is too point your fingers at someone and yell rape.
There just going to shoot themselves in the foot in the long run, no one will want to deal with these people and there attitudes eventually and on an individual level they'll realize there mistakes when no one ever wants to be around them anymore because all they do is complain, and lie. And the worse part is even though it will level out in the long run, it won't justify all the bullshit they drug others through, in order to get what they think there entitled too.
Yeah. It’s pretty fucked up. I could go on a date with a girl. Have proof she wanted to meet up, and then later on have proof that she was down for sex and we hookup and she can tell the cops I raped her. And like always... the courts believe the woman. Even if the man has digital evidence that it was consensual
Its ridiculous. I feel bad for the ones who actually ARE victims and they have all of these others crying wolf
Ruin a man’s life after accepting his cock... kinda fucked up
Hahaha, accuratley stated😂🤦♀️
I strive for precision
We can list many examples of where things went wrong, but that's normal in such a case. Women have been repressed and bullied into not speaking up and taking harassment for so long, they are now lashing out, so that's normal. With time, the dust will settle and things will be examined more rationally and sanely. But that doesn't disqualify the importance of the movement and its role in defending women against a culture that treats them as second class citizens. All movements that lead to social change had similar phenonmena with them.
I do have reservations about the movement, but they differ from yours : )
The MeToo movement have had its biggest impact in the workplace. There was a study recently done that shows 60% of Male managers don't wanna have one on one meetings/interactions with female coworkers. So that greatly affects women. The funny thing about this situation is, study after study have shown that women prefer having male bosses/manager's, because men are more easy-going and supportive, which contradicts the notion that sexual harassment is rampant in the workplace. Even on this site over the past year or two. The majority of women (poll questions) said they prefer working with men. So metoo has basically been weaponized by some women *feminist* *cough cough* as a way to gain power and destroy a guys life without due process... #BelieveAllWomen
Yeah i agree! I prefer working with men, most all of my friends are guys, and i like male bosses. This is sad to hear
I have personally experienced false accusations multiple times. Good thing there were always many witnesses and cameras.
If a woman claims rape or harassment, my first thought is she is lying and either wants money, revenge, or regrets her actions from before.
If I am on a jury I will vote not guilty for any man that is accused of something like that unless there is video proof. I don't care if there are a bunch of women lying against him, it doesn't make it true at all. And the legitimate victims only have other women to blame for people not believing them anymore. Way too many are very dishonest and have ruined or attempted to ruin men's lives and careers.
At minimum lying women should get the maximum sentence that would have been possible for the guy, plus pay him money until all damages/career is fixed, and be fined for any personal relationships that were ruined by the false accusation.
Yeah i strongly believe a lot of the accusations are placed because of regret or the man blew them off and their pissed about it. Girls are vengful and will go to those depths when a man wrongs them.
Who were your accusers,? Just exes or ,?
I wasn't ever in a relationship with any accusers. It was jealous people, people that wanted revenge for unrelated stuff that was their own fault, and a couple Black girls that didn't like me because I was a White man working there.
One of my co workers got accused of harassment too.
It is bad, but most people don't care in reality.
I know that some women have been abused, and treated horribly, but it seems that MeToo is making it a 'crime' to be a man, like we are all abusive perverts that just subjugate women.
It's to the point that I am really unsure talking to women at work, or going on any dating sites.
Lol! Yeah I haven’t seen enough to feel afraid yet but I certainly don’t feel comfortable talking to girls out and about. I mean I don’t think I have necessarily stated it but yeah anyone can come across with how I was inappropriate or rude and honestly I have also had enough really awkward moments recently with girls who were so young that I shouldn’t have been talking to them. That is too young for my comfort... and I just know that one day it will bite my balls off...
Simply said, it's not putting an end to rape and sexual abuse - it's making it a joke.
MeToo is a witchhunt and ridicules what they fight against.
It's fine by me, it just further discredits women making them look whiny and dependent.
I once lurked on a forum "for women" and these broads would go as far as "this lady in HR was rude to me, does this mean I have a #metoo story now?" ... Just so desperate to claim themselves a victim. No, you're not a loser because of other people, you're a loser because you're too dumb or lazy.
I think me too is a good idea, but has turned into a bunch a crap.
Oh, I want men to pay attention to me. The moment they do.
RAPE!
If someone waits 20 years and until someone is rich the person claiming they were assaulted is a piece of shit.
I don’t care what their excuse or reasoning is.
Yes, sexual assault does happen it is sick and horrible.
I have zero sympathy for those that let it happen and not report it.
It is just middle age women looking for attention at that point or looking for any easy pay check.
Women are doing what they are told. MeToo is a movement that was promoted by the media apparatus. Women haven't taken anything too far, but their handlers have. Their handlers are Hollywood execs and corporate interests, who want to dis-empower men, because they are harder to control.
You are too smart to fall for this shit, and many women think just like you, just too afraid to speak out because of the perceived social implications.
I think the way that some people are politicizing it is definitely taking it too far and is making a mockery of those falsely accused and those women who have been actually assaulted
Yeah thats my issue with it And why i wrote it,
I have a close family member who was so i def. know how bad it is, she gets super
Uncomfortable to talk about it or kinda leaves the room if anything were to come on tv.
And yeah I don't know i feel bad for y'all though too, careers and reputations can be ruined over fake accusations
