This is reproductive question. THe female body is given a lot of significance because of it's child bearing properties. This makes it both irresistibly seductive and enticing, and potentially repulsive at the same time.
The reason it is both is because a woman has the potential to produce a child her whom. A man dies not. A woman has to be healthy throughout her pregnancy and must provide for her offspring. A man does not have to do these things. THis makes the female body valuable, but also very vulnerable because a pregnant woman is rendered very disabled when pregnant and when taking care of children.

How you think of the opposite sex is your business. But you get to decide how you are treated. Looking and fantasizing is one thing, but it’s no excuse to put your hands on someone without their permission. And if I’m catcalled I just might embarrass the daylights out of them.
Objectification is not the same as sexual harassment or sexual assault.
I kinda don't mind being cancelled, I always know I'm looking well if I get catcalled. There was one time I was going to a wedding and was all dressed up and I walked past a group of builders and nothing, it's silly but I could have cried lol
Women objectify men the same way men objectify women. But feminists claim that it's okay for women to do it because they're opressed. They use the same excuses to justify rape against men.
It’s just an issue of tact for me. I CAN’T WAIT to get out into the world each day and see beautiful women, and I make no apology for that. Like that’s one of the joys of life to me. Love, love, LOVE to see beautiful ladies. That said, there’s a way to go about observing them, and discretion is key. “Looking” at someone attractive in a public forum is all fair. “Staring creepily” is a whole ‘nother issue. And if you’re so inclined to make an approach of one of these women, you’re a flat-out amateur if you think whistling or hooting and hollering is going to get you any positive results.
So there’s really no right way to cat-call a woman. A guy... maybe you could have some success, I eat that up every time lmfao. But we’re just wired different and you gotta know that. I honestly feel sometimes like there’s a fundamental disconnect, because as a guy (maybe just because of rarity vs women getting it so frequently) I LOVE to get cat-called by women, even ones I’m not necessarily into. I just enjoy that ego stroke, simple as that, and I think if most men answered honestly, they’d tell you the same. On that same note, I think a lot of guys who go around hitting on women the wrong way are truly thinking that that’s how THEY THEMSELVES would want to be hit on... overtly and extremely flattering and charged with sexual energy. If gals hit on me like that... I think my head would explode from satisfaction overload. I think some guys just can’t ultimately wrap their head around women having such a stark difference in desires and expectations. Like the best times I’ve ever been hit on in my life were WICKED sexually overt. “GodDAMN, boy, I think you and me need to spend more ALONE TIME.” Or the girl who came up to me while I was bouncing at a bar, posted up on a wall next to a door. Never seen this girl in my life, she walks up making intense eye contact, says nothing, turns around when she gets to me, does the whole drop-it-like-its-hot move, then comes back up literally dragging her ass up the front of my pants/crotchal region, lmao. She turns back to me, looks me in the eyes one more time with a suggestive smile, then walks out the door, still saying nothing. Was I offended? FUCK NO, I went on to smash that shit like an Idaho potato, lmfao.
So I say all that to say, that’s how WE would run at you ladies if we were following “The Golden Rule.” If we treated you the way we wanted to be treated by you, or at least the way we THINK we do, cat-calling and the like is what you get, haha. That said, it’s not unreasonable to expect men to have better social awareness than that and just assess that the general female population aren’t looming for the same approach as we’d ideally get from them.
Who in their right mind would read all that garbage 😂
@SpunkNugget is everything all right?🤠
Yes my queen!
@SpunkNugget I hear ya, too many words and not enough pictures. I’d have included illustrations for you but I can’t find my crayons.
Ya you should work on it for next time.
@SpunkNugget good stuff, bud, have a blessed day✌️
You too, hail Satan!
The answer is yes. Women only complain because they want power over others and the way women get the most power is by acting like a victim. For instance that first pick with the rebuttel is completely wrong. Rape is insanely rare (according to the FBI if we assume that their is no regions more likely to have rape then others (completely false) that their is no age range that is more likely to be raped (completely false) women have a whopping 3% chance over their entire life time of being raped. You know what the chances of a man being raped over his life time is? 3%(the only reason why women can claim otherwise is because they refuse to acknowledge that female on male rape exists to begin with (hell even the CDC study showing that men are as likely to be raped as women refused to acknowledge the data (they listed it as "forced to penetrate" and claimed it was sexual abuse but not rape (naturally the person who headed the study and tried to mislead people was a woman (and feminist))). As for abuse, men are actually far more likely to be abused by a woman then a man is to abuse a woman (nearly 70% of victims of domestic violence are male). As for cat calling yeah, that happens (I mean I have to assume, I've never done it, never known some one who has done it nor have I ever personally witnessed it in the entirety of my life but I'm sure its happened), but its not common and this is the result of men being the ones forced to approach women, to be the "pursuer" something of which women DEMAND men do. So yeah, your going to have guys who don't know how to hit on a woman, who are going to be awkward about it or assholes about it but that's the position women have put them in. Women are hypocrits about this (again, they complain about objectification, then turn around and wear low cut shirts with push up bras and make up for their cleavage (or glitter to get attention), wear tights that conform to every single curve or wear shorts where half their ass is hanging out then bitch when men look. Meanwhile they objectify men literally all the time as the evidence you presented shows (and every romance novel ever written can attests to). Its bullshit, its bullshit designed to punish men and reward women and to allow women to maximize their already considerable control (as they get to punish the man that gives them attention they don't like while acting in inappropriate ways while screaming about how every one else is sexist if they look or suggest that its inappropriate).
According to Merriam Webster, to objectify is " to treat as an object or cause to have objective reality." Essentially, what it means when you objectify a person is that you only see them as an object to get off to, and not a person with ideals, a voice, etc.
Dressing sexy and showing some skin does not mean you want to be objectified. There's a difference between being sexualized and objectified. www.google.com/.../
You're right men are also objectified. But it's not on the same level. Men can still watch a movie without having to see a pointless male character who's only there to flaunt his body and has no real depth or purpose. Female objectification is everywhere- in video games, movies, tv, etc. I don't see that happening to males quite as much, and although it's still wrong, it's just not as common.
What you're really complaining about is artists utilizing their artistic freedom.
As harsh as this sounds, I really couldn't care less about women that feel hurt by 'objectification'.
Artistic freedom/freedom of expression are values I hold in very high regard and are more important to me than catering to feelings.
@DWD94 No, I'm complaining about men only viewing women as sex objects and not humans with brains. I have no idea what it has to do with "artistic freedom."
It has everything to do with artistic freedom considering you brought up video games, tv. The female body in it's most pure form is a beautiful thing. It takes years of practice to be able to perfect it and to be able to not only draw the ideal female form but to animate it as well. And as an artist myself that enjoys drawing the female body in its most pure form, its a slap in the face to me and my work to have it all pissed on with political propaganda and whining. Notice how no one in Japan whines about this sort of thing? Its because Japan doesn't have the same sexual hangups about the female body that religious wackos and feminists in America have.
@DWD94 Lmao you can draw the female body however you want, I'm just making the point that if it's a type of media with a storyline I want the female character to have a decent personality and not be a pointless character. She can be in the most skimpy outfit, I don't give a fuck, but it'd be nice if she had more to her than her looks. I never meant to say you can't draw women to be sexy, I'm just saying that her body shouldn't be the most interesting thing about her. Jesus fucking christ.
Perhaps the issue here is lazy writing? Having a character with no depth and a one-off purpose is just dehumanizing.
I think a male version of objectification could be the random male background characters who die in action movies. Like a random sexy woman thrown in without depth, random angry men appear and get gunned down without depth.
@Boppy Yeah but usually when movies have random men who get gunned down, there's still male leads who are important and interesting.
Absolutely you see that, you see that all the time. Every romance movie every romance novel shows men being objectified. The love triangle is the most famous objectification of men as two men fight over a woman who is more then happy to be fought over and just uses the two guys like they are just things completely ignoring reality i. e. the guys would dump her in a heart beat. Don't claim that when you do it its okay, either its okay or it isn't and having a vagina will not later that fact.
@hellionthesagereborn Could you give me an example of a movie you feel objectifies men?
I try to avoid those movies at all costs personally so I couldn't name you one off the top of my head (well, probably magic mike), but the poster pointed to a whole list of times athletes got objectified. Also its in ads:

Then pretty much every romance novel ever (of which they are written by women for women):

www.bing.com/.../search
(hell the only time the guy is wearing a shirt is when he is wearing a suit to signify he is wealthy).
The fact is its absolutely as common, the only difference is women seem to think that when they do it its okay, probably because they have decided that men are not real people so we don't count (which would explain quite a bit to be honest). Its not that women don't do it as frequently, its that only women make excuses for why its okay for them but evil and bad when men do it (again, ironic as if you look women are actually more likely to treat men poorly then the other way around so if anything women are far more likely to objectify men in real life then men are to objectify women).
@hellionthesagereborn The difference is that most of the time when women are objectified, the people directing those movies and profiting off of it is men. And most of the things you listed where men are objectified are owned and profited by men (minus the books which I've never even heard of). Magic Mike was directed by a man. Sisley is owned by a man. Hollister is owned by a man. When a man is objectified it's still men at the base of it profiting. When a women is objectified men are still the ones profiting off of their objectification.
You can avoid movies where men have been objectified whereas I can't avoid movies where women are objectified. It's kind of difficult.
Wait, does it really matter if the person objectifying is a man or a woman? At the end of the day, people are still getting objectified, regardless of the gender of the jerk responsible.
(also I hear magic Mike is a good movie that actually interacts with this idea of objectification, I hear. Apparently he's a sexy stripper with emotional issues trying to deal with life. The ads for it are objectifying, though)
"The difference is that most of the time when women are objectified, the people directing those movies and profiting off of it is men. And most of the things you listed where men are objectified are owned and profited by men"
Well duh, I mean, most women aren't interested in sex as much as men are. Women obviously like sex but men have much more stronger sex drives which makes sense as to female objectification is more common.
But objectification in the form of selective service, men sacrificing themselves for women, gold digging, etc are all things that benefit women.
Objectification in this form is much more serious in my opinion. Be glad that you are only objectified sexually and aren't expected to sacrifice yourself for women and children or serve in the army.
@DWD94 Okay you completely flipped the switch here. This whole post was about sexual objectification, not things like selective service.
@Boppy It doesn't matter, objectification is still wrong but I'm just pointing out that males are usually the ones doing the objectification on both sides, but a lot of people are pointing fingers at the women (which, to be fair the women are the ones who get baited and interested in it, but in the grand scheme of things it's usually men orchestrating it).
and when those movies and books and shows objectify men its women who are consuming it and writing. See the issue isn't that men objectify and women don't or that men do it more or that its worse when men do it because all men are evil (factually incorrect, women are more likely to abuse, and their is some indication that they are more likely to sexually assault (sexual assault is actually far more common in the lesbian community then gay or straight community, same with rape and domestic violence. According to data from CDC and the NCVS (National Crime Victimization Survey (the largest of its kind)) men are as likely to be raped by a woman as a woman is to be raped by a man)). The issue is women, like yourself, absolutely refuse to own your actions. You refuse to acknowledge what you personally (yes you) do. You make excuses for the behavior and play victim, men on the other hand don't. That's the only difference between the two, you refuse to admit what you do even as the evidence (I showed you an advertisement of a woman riding a naked man like he was a horse. Their is no way around the fact that women objectify men (and this isn't even the only way they do that either)) shows otherwise. Your simply a hypocrite, and that's all their is to it, you refuse to acknowledge all the evidence before you because then you would have to admit that either a) what you and men do is wrong wich would affect you because you would have to stop it OR b) that their is nothing wrong with finding the opposite sex sexually attractive and then you wouldn't be able to act "holier then thou" and use the guilt of this to control men. That's why you ignore when you do it and when you get called out for it make every excuse imaginable for why its okay but only when you do it (I can link you to about three to four different articles where women do just that, state why its okay when women objectify men).
@DWD94 Fair, there's always going to be worse problems but just because Problem A is worse than Problem B, that doesn't mean we shouldn't ty to fix Problem A. There's always going to be worse scenarios.
@hellionthesagereborn I never said all men are evil. I'm beginning to think that you haven't read a single word I've typed in this thread. I've admitted that men get objectified too. Read my original response, "You're right men are also objectified." I never said it was okay, I just said it was different than the way women are objectified because it is. Honestly I don't mind arguing with the other two but you're really just hurting your side here and pissing me off.
And I admitted that it's the women who get interested in it I literally said that "(which, to be fair the women are the ones who get baited and interested in it, but in the grand scheme of things it's usually men orchestrating it)." My point was that behind all of this is (usually) men. They're the ones giving it the okay and owning all of these companies. I don't think objectifying makes you evil and I don't think men are evil, I just think if they only see people as objects they need to change that viewpoint. Same with women
@DWD94 I think you mix up sexualization and objectification. I'm not saying men can't find women sexy, they just need to understand that there's more to a girl than her body. That's literally all I've been trying to say.
No I never claimed you did, I'm stating that is the argument frequently given (which you can look at the original post the very first picture given that is the argument made, that its okay when women do it but not men because men are violent (factually incorrect, men are actually less likely to be violent towards women then the other way around)) so the only outcome is either claiming that its wrong when men do it because they are just inherently bad (as again, was an argument given in the orginal post (first picture)) or that its an attempt to be controlling because you cannot have something that is acceptable for one group to do but not have it be acceptable for another unless conditions are some how different or its an excuse. That was what I was stating (and yes I read what you stated, you've simply misinterpreted my statement. Obviously you didn't notice the comment under the first picture which is what I was getting at, this is the most common reason given for why its okay to objectify men but not okay for men to objectify women (and I was not using "you" in the personal sense, it was in a general sense as in you in this hypothetical situation. Also I would point out that claiming objectification and sexualization are different is flawed because you would have to be able to read the persons mind to determine whether or not they saw the other as a human being or not and if we look at data men do cater to women far more then the women do men so its safe to presume that the overwhelming majority of men do not objectify (we cannot say the same for women however (not that I am suggesting they objectify men more, only that we can show fairly conclusively that men do not)).
Your also wrong about "men owning it", most women's magazines are female writers and staff, all romance novels are written by women and consumed by women (I researched this awhile ago I think their are only two males in the entire industry. Romance novels are the most read genre in the world). That's what I was trying to get at, you cannot claim that its different especially if your argument consists of its okay when women shamelessly objectify men, its okay when women endorse this through their money etc. because a man owned the company because one that ignores all the parts where you created the industry by creating the demand, one, two it implies that its okay to objectify women because they chose to enter the industry (and in many cases get paid better then their male counter parts (the highest paid female model made 400x more then the highest paid male model for instance), three implies that women are not able to take responsibility for their actions but men are (which in my opinion is rather discriminatory towards women), and four it implies that their is something inherently wrong with men because again, we come to this idea that some how its darker and more nefarious when a man does it simply because he is a man (as their is no other reason to come that conclusion unless you believe their is some kind of innate difference between men and women which makes men inherently more dangerous and cruel ergo they are more likely to see women as objects while women are more likely to have some kind of inherently benevolent trait that makes their behavior completely benign (which is statistically speaking, false as women are as likely to rape as men are and more likely to be abusive in relationships (based upon CDC and NCVS data as well as data collected from the lesbian, gay, and straight communities (lesbian couples report the highest rates of sexual assault, rape and domestic violence comparative to other pairings)).
The argument itself is dehumanizing and thus objectifying men and removing their personhood.
@hellionthesagereborn If men didn't objectify women then they wouldn't rape them and sexually assault them. I seriously can't understand some of the stuff you're saying because your whole thing is a run on sentence I'm sorry.
How is claiming objectification and sexualization are different flawed? Yes you can't always tell what a person is thinking but they're still different. If a person doesn't treat you like anything more than an object, you're being objectified. If outside of sexual activities they're treating you like nothing, you're probably being objectified.
And I was just referring to the examples you gave me. Most of those were owned by men. Also you're wrong about romance novels being the most read genre, but okay.
I'm too tired to try to understand the rest of what you're saying, sorry.
Hi, back with an idea.
I'm thinking that objectification in movies is almost entirely same as stereotyping. Both are acting as though people have no depth and are just good for one thing (especially for background characters). The issue is that each movie that uses this shortcut of stereotyping will increase how widespread those stereotypes are.
@Boppy I think I agree with that.
Women rape men at comparable rates so that's an invalid argument plus most data suggests that rape is more about power then objectification on top of which the probability of rape occurring is incredibly small (if we assume that all women have equal probability of being raped, for all period of their life, irregardless of where they live or whom they interact with and ignoring any possible personal actions (going to parties with strangers etc.) etc. women have a life time chance of being raped of 3%, if you factor in all those other things I mentioned it would be less then 1% for the overwhelming majority of women. That's got nothing to do with "objectification".)).
So that's not a valid argument at all as its incredibly rare and it would also apply to women as women rape men at comparable rates (again, as per the CDC and NCVS data shows): www.usatoday.com/.../
As for the other argument again, you absolutely understand what I am saying. Its owned by a man? Okay, so what? Who is buying it? Women. Who are demanding the product be made? Women. By your rational its okay for women to be objectified because those models and actresses and pornstars are choosing to do those jobs. Its their choice. If the company is owned by a woman (as several porn companies are) that means its okay then? So even though they produce the same content as a male owned company they are completely different? That's completely irrational and you know that. Its a weak argument.
Further more you decided to ignore romance novels which again are written and owned and bought by women. Why do they not count? As for romance novels being the most read genre: www.therichest.com/.../
Again, you are incorrect.
So as I pointed out your applying one set of standards to you and women and a completely different set of standards to men.
@hellionthesagereborn You're wrong in saying that men get raped at a comparable rape because 90% of rape victims are women compared to 10% being male. This is according to www.rainn.org/statistics/victims-sexual-violence I'm not trying to minimize rape against males, I'm just saying your statement was false.
Just because someone does a job in which they are objectified in doesn't mean they like it. Maybe they're desperate for money or don't fully understand what's happening. And fair, that isn't a strong argument. I suppose it shouldn't matter. But that still doesn't change the fact that women are objectified more than men. For the millionth time I'm not saying men aren't objectified, but all of your examples were from things I had never heard of (with the exception of Versace and Hollister but those weren't great examples). I just don't see it as much as I see female objectification.
I just presented you data to the contrary. That data is backed by two different organizations, both of which are not special interest groups unlike rainn. That was the CENTER FOR DISEASE CONTROL and the NATIONAL CRIME VICTMIZATION SURVEY, here those statistics again (and some others): www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/ss6308a1.htm
www.usatoday.com/.../
. Here is the FBI and the Bereu of Justice Statistics data as well: https://www.bjs.gov/index.cfm?ty=pbdetail&iid=5176
The Rainn statistic is based off of to very flawed (and proven so) reasons, one being that the CDC listed male rape as "forced to penetrate" and labeled this as a sexual assault thus getting the 1% statistic every one claims. The other is based off of the 1 in 5 claim which has been proven false more times then I can count (multiple times in the 70s literally almost immediately after the horrifically bias and flawed survey was done by MS. Magazine (they had compound questions i. e. have you ever had sex while drunk or when you didn't want it (those are two very different questions and answering yes to one does not mean you are answering yes to the other. It also excluded males as a victim category i. e. they asked women if they have ever been raped and then asked the men if they had ever raped. About 70% of respondents stated they disagreed with the conclusions made in the survey and that they had never been raped. The very flawed survey was done again more recently and again, was proven entirely false). Here is the data showing that its entirely false from the Department of Justice: thefederalist.com/.../
and another: www.baltimoresun.com/.../...cs-20140928-story.html
Here is a post with listed studies showing that lesbians are more likely to commit domestic violence then both straight and gay males: winteryknight.com/.../
This is before we factor in that most males do not come forwards as society does not recognize female on male violence or rape or the fact that courts routinely minimize and brush aside those cases even when they do get to court: www.nydailynews.com/.../...r-old-article-1.1726526
www.nj.com/.../...with_student_trying_to_ente.html
www.star-telegram.com/.../article18487400.html
Nor do they acknowledge the prevalence: www.propublica.org/.../boys-in-custody-and-the-women-who-abuse-them
www.menstuff.org/.../pedophiles-female.html
So if they don't recognize women raping boys they most definitely don't recognize it when they rape adult males (which again, as per all the data presented (which I urge you to actually look at and read instead of ignore (like you did the first time I posted it) is at least as common if not more so then male on female rape.).
As for your claims about being in the job, that is false. First and foremost it doesn't matter if they like it, what matters is they knew what they where doing and they CHOSE it. Two, those women make far more money then men in similar fields so why is it that the men are able to make that choice of their own accord but women are to helpless and/or ignorant to make that choice? Isn't that descrminating against women?
Further more your completely ignoring that again, WOMEN DEMAND AND BUY THE PRODUCT. So your still ignoring women's volition and their ability to act i. e. you are objectifying them as you refuse to acknowledge that women can be actors (I. e. one who acts) and instead relegate them to some one who is acted upon (i. e. some one with no free will of their own, an object). Claiming that it happens more to women is an utterly meaningless statement because you would have to prove that was the case and as the post and all my links and data shows, its not the case at all. You can pretend like only women are victims (because that is ultimately what your arguing, if you where not you would acknowledge that either this is wrong and its wrong regardless and we need to stop it, or you would acknowledge that its not wrong across the board. Instead your making excuses for women and dismissing the issue unless it affects women). This is hypocrisy.
That's honestly basically women in a nutshell, in general, depending on the time of month. It's probably relevant to their cycle, truly.
Follicular phase: "I feel so sexy. Why aren't you commenting on my cleavage? I kept my shirt down so you would notice.
I need to get my miniskirt on and go to the club and find the hottest, most muscular guy to fuck me RIGHT NOW.
Pull my hair, choke me, spit in my face, and call me your dirty little bitch-whore."
Luteal phase: "OH MY GOD. Treat me as a person. All I want is to feel loved for being who I am. I have thoughts and ideas, you know?
How DARE you look at my breasts! My eyes are *up here*.
Gently stroke my hair and tell me how much you love me."
It's basically low-fertility behavior and high-fertility behavior.
That said, guys generally like to be objectified, in my opinion. I sure as hell do. We hardly get any attention at all. Think I hit the gym 5 days a week and keep my diet strict so women *won't* find me attractive? Hell no, I don't give a fuck, whistle, yell obscene euphemisms", I would gladly welcome all of it.
Yes. You are too hard on them. You are too hard on everything. You want to use violence against people who are not violent. That's what law enforcement in the West is.
Generally anything to do with collectivism is evil.
It was sort of a good idea before the internet and when everything you knew was just a 20 mile radius or so.
It doesn't work now and has been failing since the early 2000s.
Perhaps even longer.
Stay away from the fascist traditionalism of your parents and the modern feminism of politicians and social media.
Generally anyone in favor of having government use violence (law enforcement) to make other people live how they want them to live.
I feel so bad for generation Z and the coming generations. Sex and marriage and relationships have been completely ruined for them. And it's mostly feminists fault, who despite their hate of current society rely on the fascist police for everything. They are two sides of the same coin.
The early to mid 2010s was the last time you could have a normal relationship and chase girls. This is not really true where I am from but it is true in most of Western Europe and America.
The things I got to do, if I did them in America today i'd probably be falsely #metoo'd or made a sex offender or something. Men will never get to be men again if things don't change, and when the women hit 30 they will slowly watch the world they made become their biggest regrets.
I'm afraid the only way things will ever change is when men are willing to fight and die and kill for change. Mass bloodshed will be required, and many dictators and their supporters must die.
Good luck is all I can say. The time for peaceful change is long gone for your people.
Honestly i dont see anything wrong with a little light hearted objectification of both genders in adds and TV, sex sells and makes the world go round , its something we all want deep down so i don't see the need to be so prudish about it.
If that model or acter is being paid well and has consented to be at the centre of objectification to the point they are not being dehumanised, they know what they are getting themselves into and should take pride people think they look nice.
On the other hand if it's in a everyday situation like at work with a co worker or client thats wrong, full stop. They are just trying to get their money and leave they don't want or need your approval on how sexy they are.
Objectification is something that can happen to anyone. I can accept it, but I can't accept the harassment that some people add to it.
And I hate when it comes from my boyfriend. Don't get me wrong, it is flattering for him do desire me, but if he sees me as an object of lust and nothing else then we're not on the same page...
We all know that women like to objectify men as much as we do women. But for some reason it is not as socially acceptable. It's just hypocritical.
Some argue that it's because of the difference in strenght. Women talk and objectify men, but can't force them to do anything. One the other hand men can do that. So objectify women is an incentive for men to do that. This argument is simply riddiculous! Just because I like to look doesn't mean I will force her to anything! The distance between looking and actually moving myself with the purpose of immobilizing another human being and force myself into them as they fight back and scream is immense! Anyone who does that isn't because he saw a Dove commercial with a hot girl in bikini I can asure you that!
Do you know what? I wish we saw more guy objectification everywhere! I am serious! That way women looking at us with lust would be normalized instead of taboo. Would make then more confortable in doing it as well.
Some women want to pick and choose yes, there's nothing wrong with someone finding another person sexually attractive. It's perfectly normal and I don't understand why some women appose it in general. The only objectification I don't agree with is when all someone is to another person is a sex object. Male or female. You can still find someone sexy and attractive and treat them like a human being at the same time. I don't mind if guys find me attractive it's kinda what we do as opposite sexes if we are straight, we check each other out lol. Yes i might just see a guy as a hook up but I'm not gonna treat him like he's nothing, he's a person with thoughts and feelings and no one should be treated otherwise.
The concept of objectification is nothing more than anti-male feminist propaganda that seeks to demonize male heterosexuality. It's also used as a gimmick to attack artistic freedom under the guise of 'equality' and 'respecting women'. Just look at how character designers are lambasted and shamed for putting such intricate and awesome detail into female character models. I dont care if it's sexualized, its ART! As someone who is into character design and enjoys drawing the female body in it's most purest form, I find it disgusting when feminists try to piss on my creativity and hard work with political propaganda.
I will always view artistic freedom/freedom of expression as more important than catering to feelings.
Nice examples.
Yeah, it's all obviously just either ignorant people or media pandering at fault. What does patting women on the back all day and sexualisation of men that's an eerie inverse of the former have in common? Pandering to an audience.
Many women love the idea that they are oppressed, but it also validates the absence of consideration for men -- dehumanization in the most extreme sense -- so the idea of fair treatment goes out the window and all that remains is getting what one wants.
Women wanted to be valued for their ability as homemakers. They took pride in being mothers and providing men with companionship. They raised strong Men and Women
The worst thing ever, is TV, Magazines, and Social media, its brainwashed women to believe that objectifying themselves is empowerment, while at the same time, academe tells them that they shouldn't want that. They are confused! Women need guidance from their community not "Education" and not Media.
Being asked by a woman from Attica, "Why is it that you Spartan women are the only women that lord it over your men," she said, "Because we are the only women that are mothers of men." This is a quote from Plutarch's Lacaenarum Apophthegmata. The Attican woman is asking how the Spartan woman can influence men, she replies that they are mothers of REAL men.
Too hard on them? Not really. The idea that they're bad men though is Completely wrong.
It's contradictory: many women put so much effort into their sex appeal with makeup, workouts, etc, and then when men start calling them attractive in a needy way, it's considered offensive. I think the problem is that women aren't emotionally built for casual relationships/sex. So when the sexual component of catcalling preceeds the emotional connection, they feel weird, annoyed and empty from the lack of what they're really looking for. If you're attractive, prince charming will come for you eventually, but not before mr. Empty soul tries to sweet talk you to sex.
There is a fine line... but I think women are a bit too triggered when it comes to this. Lol especially the ones that dress in a skimpy little outfit to go out and "pick up guy" but the guys she is picking up, isn't the guys she envisioned in her fantasy before she went out. Therefore, she says that men are pervs and that they objectify them... lol if your dressing to get attention you will. Even if your not, if your pretty, you will get attention. It's not a bad thing. Women need to understand they can't stop someone for what they are thinking or saying about them. They can if they touch, without permission. That's the absolute line. But i think women get way to over hyped for this... however, flip side, some men can show a lot more respect then they do
This whole stuff is stupid some years ago women "fighted" to be able to be sexy on tv and now they complain about it...
Too both men and women like to "objectify" the others sex. There's nothing wrong in it. For the people who don't like it they can look elsewhere (it's not that hard...).
I think most of the women that complain about it do it cause it's a trend and don't even have done any research about it or anything. They just repeat what they heard.
Some people get triggered easily and some people go way overboard.
You can enjoy the way someone looks without making a comment about it and being creepy about it. Just because someone is easy on the eyes or had nice body doesn't mean they become objects. Same way appreciating a body doesn't mean I wanna shag everyone with that body.
Anyone who wants to sell something will try to find a way to do it and sex sells and it's allowed so they go for it. Until people's mind changes that will stay the same.
If anything then I think people don't truly get what e
Personally, I think both sexes sexualize each other, and it's acceptable, up to a point. I don't think there's anything wrong with taking a peek at someone's cleavage or bulge, or acknowledging that you want to have sex with someone. The main problem is when they're no longer treated as people, but as "that dumb bitch with the nice ass" or "that buff hunk of airheaded man meat".
I'm all for either sex speaking out against their objectification, as long as there are no double standards. When Cosmopolitan decries objectification of women athletes, only to treat men athletes as nothing more than bulges, that's only making the problem worse. When MRAs point to that example and use it as an excuse to treat women as floating pairs of tits, that's only making it worse. What's needed is for everyone to agree on the same acceptable limits for both sexes, and to call out anyone who objectifies people or resorts to double standards.
I cannot believe that comment on the first photo. All of those things are done to men by women and vice versa, people are terrible and hurt and abuse each other. Women don’t get a pass, it’s just more socially acceptable when they objectify. It’s wrong and if we’re going to punish one group we need to punish both, or just, I don’t know, grow up and deal with the fact that everyone is objectified and you don’t need to pay much mind to it.
Me personally, I know I can’t control anyone’s mind. I still do not want to be objectified. But I don’t make it a point to berate and call out everyone I meet so that it doesn’t happen. I wish that we could all be completely desensitized (because I am 😂) but unfortunately that’s not the world we live in.
However, the line should definitely be drawn where assault begins.
This is correct. It goes both way but most feminists (not all) tend to see it as a way for us to demean them. Which it definitely is not. There are really good looking people out there and both sexes can appreciate that. I don't see how that's a problem. Until it gets into catcalling and stuff. Which is a bit creepy.
It's kinda of all over the place, girls don't want it but then others do and girls do it with guys because guys don't care. Maybe we do or maybe we don't. But we like attactive girls, it is what it is, and honestly you want to blame someone blame social media because they take advantage of both guys and girls
Yes. I don’t want to hear about the objectification of women until we discuss the way women objectify me. Men are objectified as human ATM’s, sperm donors, handymen, bodyguards, taxis, and bug squashers by women.
If a man objectifies a woman sexually it’s the end of the world but we don’t hear about how it’s wrong for women to objectify men as success objects instead.
This does not come from women, it comes from cultural Marxism and the twisted equality of outcome idea. Social interactions are seen through the Marxist lens of class struggle. The goal is to crush anyone perceived as an oppressor while building up anyone seen as oppressed. Any natural reasons for one group having something another group does not such as hard work or high IQ are ignored all together. This despite the Marxist supposed scientific approach to managing society. It is truly madness.
The headline on the woman feelin bad because she don't get catcalled.. 😂😂😂.. But I actually agree witchu.. It's kina silly for some women to complain about objectification, when men have been just as objectified through history.. Even the rapper/actor LL Cool J got tired of women askin him to take his shirt off.. Objectification is not mutually exclusive wit sexual harassment.. Although Objectification of anybody is not... The best..
I think people in general get triggered to easily on this subject. There is a fine line with any notion of attention. Someone saying hello gets distorted to they’re flirting with me. Asking someone to go for coffee means they want sex. The list goes on.
Never attribute to malice what can be attributed to stupidity. The legal definition of rape means men can't be raped by women but only by men or by women with an external object. Most feminists refuse to realize that flaw when talking statistics. Their main argument goes out the window when you take statistics where rape is not defined with the word penetration.
I've never been offended by being objectified, it's just harmless fun. I don't think guys do it to offend or threaten.
Nope, I want to watch your totalitarian feminist rule keep pounding them down until there are no more left around you. It is pure entertainment for me at this point because I have written it all off and only pursue the lone wolf lifestyle. All actions eventually result in repercussions and I see these being ten-fold.
Yes i think there's a lot of this. Its a mob mentality cos any girl i speak to on her own is generally ok with a lot of stuff that they seem to hate as a group. Plus there is an agenda basically forcing us together when there are clear differences between males and females... and as for this gender fluid identity bollox... dont get me started there.
1. Feminists will tell you that just by looking at a woman in the street a man is objectifying the woman; so then women are guilty of objectifying women when they become lesbians!
2. If men stop looking at or speaking to women, this will be an issue for feminists too; they are already unhappy with men who stop looking at women and instead buy sex dolls and sexbots.
To be honest I’m way past all of this, just leave me alone to wear what I want and do what I want and refrain from making perverted comments about me then I’m fine.
Honestly, that in itself is a good enough reason to stay away from someone 😳😂
This culture of getting offended is ridiculous. Any woman can catcall me and I wouldn't get offended, even if a man would. For example a month ago when I was in a pub, some older woman came and hugged me from behind. I felt a bit surprised and awkward, but I don't think stuff like that is any kind of harrassment.
Just to be clear, finding women attractive is not the same as objectifying them. Objectifying a woman is when they are looked at as objects to please us.
i think so yes. saying that it is wired into guys brains, and sex is needed for a males mental healthyness. i think our culture has made thohse things bad especially because of religion saying sex and looking at women is bad. its not objectification its nature
I think women enjoy much of the objectification because it she didn't, she would do things where the objectification couldn't be discovered. Women intentionally approach men she sees is struggling with lust to test if he has gotten over his lust issues by putting her shirt with half her tits showing 3 inches from his face asking him if he is going good.
At my age, and with my looks, the slightest objectification of me would be most welcome. Followed by action, of course. 😁
Didn't read any of the words. Just looking at the guys :)
i used to get so mad when i saw these types of double standards but now i know what to do. i myself will find me a girl who appreciates when i admire her face and her body as well as her personality and i won't pay any attention to any feminist hypocrite out there. i suggest other guys do the same and leave them to be lonely and forever single. they'll die out eventually along with their hate for men
Man this junk been around for decades. Ever since men were aloud to be topless at the beach in the 30s. Then in the 60s the bikinis came out for women.
The new thing is gender neutral and being both genders or what have you.
Its all part of being human. Humans are very stupid.
Do you see a bear or monkey. Doing what humans do. They must think we are nuts.
Every man and every girl gets objectified once.. but it's That's person's act only that allow others to objectify him/her.. So that person have to take stand for himself/herself first so that others won't dare to objectify them...
YEAH!!!
Are you gonna tell me that women never objectify men? I've seen how y'all act in strip clubs, whoopin' and hollering, screaming your heads off at all the guys dancing on the stage. You don't see men do that in a strip club where women dance!
I don't Feel I am... Used to This, No Pissed. lolxxoo
i don't really understand why we look down on sexualization and objectification so hard. everyone does it. are we ashamed of our nature? do we try to deny it cause we feel shame and does that make us angry at those that don't bother to hide it?
A lot of women seem to hypocritical like that.
If you wear revealing clothing, you will eventually get sexual comments. If you don't want to hear comments, don't go outside.
People like to comment and make observations, that's how we are.
You may not like it but this is what peak male performance looks like
No. Most men are very guilty of very cold and lowdown objectifying of women. The problem is, women prefer men who objectify women over nice guys.
The more freedom women are given the more the less clothes they want to wear. So the answer is obvious to me
Yes, sometimes looking at a hot shirtless guy turns me on. No, I have NEVER catcalled a guy and never would.
You should. Most of them would probably appreciate it.
Men aren't obligated to dress provocatively. But women are often pressured to dress provocatively if they want any representation in media. That's the problem
@bklynbadboy1 I'm referring to media representations. women are much more likely to dress provocatively in media representations than in real life. It's because they are being pressured to do it & if they don't, then they get no representation
I still dont agree with that I think they dress much more provocatively in real like just think about how women dress when they go out
really? That's weird because for all of the media history women didn't dress provocatively and did in fact get representation. Its almost as if you didn't think that through at all. Also shirtless men, on every single cover of romance novels and romance movies/shows etc. Stop being a hypocrite.
Meh, women bitching about everything under the sun is the new norm. I've just learned to tune it all out. Being angry at literally nothing is just what women do. Don't take them seriously and suddenly the world is a much more peaceful place.
I dont even care anymore.
Arguing with those types of feminists is completely pointless and a waste of time. Just let them talk and ignore them.
Thank you for calling out the hypocrisy of many women in general and feminists in particular on this particular subject.
Is it any wonder why feminism gets zero respect today?
I personally don't want either male or female to get objectified.
Absolutely not. Men are men and we love them for it. I know I as a woman feel good when I look good and when I see me double glancing it really makes my day. Thanks boys lol
Women hate guys/men for many things.😂😂
This is one among them.
We view, we get hate.
We try not to view, we get hate.
It is true that females sexual objectification is more. But it is reducing and male objectification is rising up slowly.
They've been doing it since I was a kid
"Being a man is bad, bad, bad. But look how great I am being a hypocrite!" Every women only talk show / news cast / moms talking about their husbands / etc.
Perfectly fine to shit all over men
I think women are being way too hard on men for objectifying them. Women literally go through hell a high water for beauty but then when a man admires that beauty then he's wrong
