Sorry, in the end we're only mammals with a more developed brain. We reproduce sexually and there are only males and females. That's how nature works. I'm fine with people liking people of the same gender, cool. I'm fine with people liking both genders, cool too, more choice. Lesbian and gay couples can still help each other out with co-parenting and eggs and sperm. I am even fine with people unhappy in their body and trying to pick the other body to feel better. I hope they feel better in the other body but I seriously think they're fooling themselves and damaging their 'by creation attributed' single body they have. If I feel bad for them it's out of compassion and respect, _not_ because I think it's the best thing to do.
X Y Chromosomes Psychology Today www.psychologytoday.com/us/basics/x-y-chromosomes X and Y are the two sex chromosomes that form one of those pairs. Females have a pair of X chromosomes, and males have a pair made up of one X and one Y in each cell. When a child is conceived, the mother typically contributes an X chromosome, and the father contributes either an X or a Y, determining whether the baby is biologically male or female.
Two. That said you can feel uncomfortable in your own skin but it's a different problem when that goes beyond feeling like just a man or a woman.
I don't see the need for all of the extra-genders and it's quite ironic since it's usually these people who speaks against labels and stereotypes within genders. Like how they say that men should be able to wear skirts etc. which I personally see no issue with but if a MAN should be able to do that, yet if you are a man who puts on a skirt sometimes you automatically think "I am no longer man I am genderfluid", then you have just spoken against everything you stand for because you broke a male stereotype and therefore felt you can't be a man anymore. Just saying. Make your minds up.
Only two. We have a spectrum of masculinity and femininity. But that is it.
Sexologist Debra Soh breaks this topic down in many of her videos. She has years of sex research under her belt. Unlike many scientists, she tells it like it is and is not intimidated by the fad of supporting trans and this belief of dozens of genders. Truth above feelings.
There are two main sexes, which are biological in nature: Male and Female, defined by sexual organs. There can be mutations such as those born with both types of or indistinguishable genetalia.
There is a spectrum of gender, which is sociological in nature, and is defined by varying degrees of masculinity and femininity, which are traits society typically assigns to one sex or the other.
That all being said, you could argue that, like autism, gender is along a spectrum that can be expressed in many varied ways, so there’s no defined number of genders.
this is like the twin towers. there use to be only two but now it is a really sensitive subject
but with that said, God's word says that in the beginning God made them male and female. what God hath joined together, let no man put asunder (Matthew 19:4-6) (paraphrasing, but check it in God's book the King James Bible to make sure i'm not lying to you)
3. Male, female and intersex. I also think you can change your gender, but otjer than that... I'm supportive of people no matter what gender they choose, but I don't really understand. People who say that they are both genders, I can understand, but not so much when people say that they have no gender (you were born with one, you can't just erase it) or the people who are gender fluid. I mean, one day they're a he and one day they're a she. How does that work? And what really changes when you change your pronoun. Nothing really, you're still the same person. Is it like "I was a guy yesterday, so I'll be a girl today because I want to wear a dress"? I don't get it. If you feel like wearing a skirt, wear it. This feels like you're swinging your gender to suit a gender stereotype. And honestly, fudge those.
I believe that there are only two that deserve the title of a real gender but I get that certain people may not feel like they are 100% female or male either mentally not identifying with the common gender stereotypes or even physically being different but nowadays gender roles are deteriorating and if a girl doesn't want to be all feminine she can do that (an example), I don't think assigning a new label and inventing a new gender for that is necessary.
Yeah I think 2 is correct... might get hate for suggesting it... but shouldn't it be considered some sort of mental illness to think you are something that you're not... I mean if i thought i was a goat... I'd be locked in a padded cell... i just think it's weird where we draw the lines on these things...
Most off this issue that people makes a difference with gender and sex is they have to much time over to think on unnecessary thing's and overcomplicate thing's for themselves.
Very simple thing. Male, Female, Hermaphrodite.
Luckily do we don't have this nonsense in Swedish language with two words that practically means the same (sex gender) .
Some minority groups tried the gender neutral approach about 10 years ago as early as daycare centers, they called it Hen something. the majority couldn't take them seriously also it creates mental issues according to children's psychologists when the majority of humans goes through the phase there we begin to identify ourselves where we belong and should behave according to our gender (sex). It created confusions, disorientation, and other funny things that creates other mental issues. some times for life.
When it comes to it it's many times in the head. An attempt to not be one in the bunch, creating a own group or associate themselves in a odd group. funny thing is thay are still trying to belong to a group and tries to fitt in in it.
(They usually suffers from some mental issues, this gender sex issue is many times an side effect of the mental issues just like when we get physical problems and get other physical issues that we tries to treat instead of treating the main problem. not a popular subject and to many tries to gaslight the sensitive subject just like overweight people that doesn't want to do what's needed to get rid of their health problems caused by their lifestyle)
2. The rest is made up. You could count the hermaphrodite as a 3rd, but it's not a gender, it's just a malformation. You're born a girl, or a guy, and no matter what you think you are, biology doesn't lie, biology doesn't care about your feelings, it just is, the plain, cold and undeniable truth.
You can get as whacked out on liberal heavy drugs as much as you want and imagine little green people that have a mental sex or maybe we can imagine something more f-d up just to provide disruption by confusion, but there is still only male and female in reality space.
I think the issue comes down to peoples understanding of the terms gender and sex - something that I know I'll get wrong if I try to define either.
Biologically you are either born with male or female reproductive bits. In some cases, however, you get people with both and they then have the trouble of deciding where they fit - probably not an enviable thing.
We've all got different levels of chemical and hormonal stuff going on so, coupled with how we were raised, we can get pretty confused about who and what we are. I think for the majority of what this comes down to is confusion and a search for identity.
Who you are and how your as a PERSON is and will be different regardless of gender. Not sure why people let their emotions over ride what is clearly in front of them.
It keeps life a lot easier than trying to teach children 6 million made up genders for the sake of some people who need to feel special for whatever reason
Every cell in your body is either XX chromosone or XY chromosone, constituting two distinct cell types, male and female. Gender has nothing to do with desire or other things. It is a fact, not an opinion.
Except for those born with an extra x or Y chromosone or other variants of the standard XX/XY sequence. Those are called intersex. Also referred to as hermaphroditism. They are born with abnormal genitals and are almost always sterile. This is a physical fact. The people who think that they can decide their gender are completely on another level irrespective of science. But the answer is 3 genders. Male/female/intersex.
XXY is known as klinefelter's syndrome, which is a male who has female characteristics, but still has male genitals. X is known as Turner's syndrome which is a female with male characteristics but still has female genitals.
You are right though, there are other genetic syndromes where the genetalia and/or reproductive organs can be ambiguous and they would be considered intersex, but that's rare and that's not what people who consider themselves as 'trans' actually are.
I’m not sure about life expectancy of intersex but I knew some when I was a child and I have studied enough to know that they are not male or female. They are in fact born that way and a true third gender. There are many more than you would think but they tend to keep it under wraps to avoid being ostracized. This does not in any way support the people who decide that they can be whatever they feel they are. Some people feel like they are also a wolf or a cat or a dog. That is ludicrous. If you decide you want to dress and act different, it in no way actually changes science...
@Browser101 Hmm... I just did some research and found an argument saying that the difference between male and female cells is entirely dependent on the presence of a Y, rather than the constitution of the chromosone...
@snowfoxy1 The Y chromosome is considered the male chromosome because generally, if you have it, you'll have male genetalia. What do you mean by the "constitution of the chromosome"? A chromosome is just long strands of DNA coiled, supercoiled, and condensed to fit inside the nucleus of a cell
I think there is only one gender which is female and males are just an alteration upon that. In other words the base state of humanity is female at least that's what I think whaddy'all think cha-bout that?
@Ciscoin yeah man I know how chromosomes work dude. Everyone has the X Chromosome which is the "female" chromosome. Without it we'd DIE. That's why the female chromosome is the more default state of the human being. The Y Chromosome only some people have (males) so it's more of like an "add on" chromosome.
Therefore getting rid of the male chromosome is possible but getting rid of the female chromosome would result in death so the female sex is more fundamental to the human constitution. Chew on that !
@Ciscoin Ok so I was being provocative by saying there is only "one" gender obviously there is female and male. I was making it too complicated but short answer is that there are two genders. I guess the take home is that when you get into the science of it gets more complicated and weird.
Study Biology and basics of Genetics and you will realize that.. Only 2 types of DNA strands for Human species exists.. XX & XY
Now you can call XX = female, women, girl, chick, slut, whore, hoe, girlfriend, wife... Whatever you like XY = Male, men, boy, stud, fuck boy, dude, boyfriend, husband.. Or what ever you like..
There is sex and then there is gender. Sex is biology and how you were born. You are born female, you are born male. That's sex. Then there is gender which society has construed and fucked up hardcore and people think they are trans.
Only 2 genders! You can be a feminine male or masculine female, there's no problem in that. Honestly people who classify themselves as 'trans' are just crossdressers, which I have no problem with at all. You can wear whatever you want and look however you like, but don't call yourself a male if you have a vagina and vice versa
There are two genders, male and female, and if you feel uncomfortable with your sex BEING TRANSGENDER IS VALID, but at the same time one could just be a “masculine” girl or a “feminine” boy and not need to be labeled. When you try to label yourself as things like “bigender” you are just asserting gender stereotypes.

Did I just see someone compare autism to gender... holy fuck.
@QooLipBite i work with kids with autism. I wasn’t comparing their struggles, just saying that both are along a spectrum.

Not agreeing or disagreeing with anybody here but just going to add that the y chromosome has been shrinking for some years now too 🤷🏻‍♀️
It makes no sense to me how you can know all of that and still remain blissfully unaware of how inaccurate your first statement was.
@Ciscoin Ok so I was being provocative by saying there is only "one" gender obviously there is female and male. I was making it too complicated but short answer is that there are two genders. I guess the take home is that when you get into the science of it gets more complicated and weird.
