All the biracial people I know identify as biracial
Barack Obama is Mixed, has a black father and white mother. People only call him black.
It is not biracial people themselves who "ignore" their white half, it's society.

Because in this country, you get benefits for being non-white. Don’t blame them for trying to take advantage. Blame the government for allowing this minority privilege. The government is actually to blame for perpetuating racism.

Some people look more like the dominant parent gene (which ever skin tone black, tan, white) &/ or they will claim the side they feel most accepted by.

Because from a liberal point if view, white people are evil racists and oppressors and privileged. So identifying as white will make their identity look bad.

And bi facial people are privilege d becuase white people like your self like them a little more than normal black people. Plus bi racial marry more white people any way so they turn back to white after a cycle
Because "white privilege" is a myth and wielding the other half like a victim card for sympathy is the "in" thing to do.
I think its because of what you look more as. Like my buddy is half black, and of course he has darker skin and the hair of a black man, although he has white features, when someone sees him they automatically think black guy.
Because white people don't accept anything but pure European white. They'll often ask "Where are you from?", "Where are your parents from?", "Where are your ancestors from?" and I'm black. I can't imagine how annoying it is for a mixed person

3 of my exes are biracial.. One looked white to everyone else. The other two were considerably darker. No white person considered any of them white..

Because white guilt is the "in" thing right now. Ironically, most white haters are white themselves. SJWs are overwhelmingly white. Antifa are majority white. ICE protesters are white as snow. Even BLM protesters are mostly white.
