My opinion:
There's nothing to save from the modern West. I would describe how pathetic the West has become with the words of Dante Alighieri "Abandon hope all ye who enter here". It's a civilisation on a spiral of decay: morally corrupt, oversexualised, anti-family, materialistic, hedonistic, nihilistic, consumerist.
It's an abomination. I reject the West just as much as I reject Rosa Silverman's advices. Do the same!
The thing is, although we know that this is an attempt to emasculate men and fuck up people's relationships, I don't think it's as bad as you think it is. At least not yet, only time will tell.
If you look at the responses of most women you'll see that most of them just aren't interested in a cheat pass. In fact many of them, the sane ones, would be likely to split up with the guy for suggesting this.
I see this kind of thing as being similar to those articles these news outlets kept posting a little while ago about how pedophiles aren't monsters, trying to encourage people to sympathise with them. They didn't get a good reaction for those either.
The reason I see it as a similar thing is that I think they throw these things out there as "feelers". If they have a certain agenda or social experiment they want to know how far or close they are to normalising whatever it is they're trying to normalise.
If people respond positively they know that they can push something more aggressively. If they respond negatively they need to take their time and be less obvious, more indirect in trying to influence people.

I think things are going bad because I highly suspect a large number of Liberals agree with the premises of Sara Silverman's article but they are kind of ashamed to admit this... These people are not really the audience of the Telegraph, I think it could have a better reception in the Guardian.

Basically if a wife can visit her sister, parent, or attend a wedding without her husband for 24 hours or more she already has a cheat pass because she can go alone to almost any hotel club or bar and within an hour be picked up by an exceptionally attractive man and spend the night in his hotel room. Then she can shower and return home, and her husband will never know.
Men, if he is well above average in attractiveness, might do that but 19 times out of 20 he will not be successful.
There are a lot of people who would like to have more than one partner but don't want to risk hurting the one they love or be plagued by guilt. The idea here is to make that not necessary by giving permission. It's kind of silly to argue what's the point because she can just cheat, when the point is to enjoy the sex without the guilt and risks associated with infidelity.
In any case the article is stupid and dangerous for a simple reason. Married couples who don't mind extramarital sex should and will allow it within the scope of their personal comfort levels. If I don't want my wife sleeping with someone, I'm not going to make an exception because it's a holiday, and I shouldn't be pressured to do so. And if there's someone I don't mind her sleeping with, I'm not going to deny her that privilege year-round then present my blessing as a Christmas gift. This is absurd.
Above all else, if two married people don't have the sort of relationship where one can ask the other for a free-wheeling night out, this is because of a hard-won awareness of each other's feelings, and not the sort of thing popular media ought to be nudging us to challenge or dismantle.
This is probably true, but they are certainly menaced by some feeling that most of them prefer to avoid. At whatever point guilt might kick in, the desire not to experience this feeling is powerful enough that cheating in marriage isn't really all that common.
Lol I posted a question about this too. It makes no sense that so many different media outlets are posting the same article? So strange. Its almost like there is something more to it. Like you know people trying to instigate social change to undermine the norms of society or something.
