Voted E but only because the terms don't actually mean that much and I am dubious of the value of the chart in capturing a more complex reality. I always, when I see this kind of question, have to put an asterisk over it.
First, to start, the terms "right," "left" and so forth, are not terribly helpful. The usage comes out of the French revolution, when supporters of a republic sat to the left of the Speaker's chair in the National Assembly, while supporters of the Church and the monarchy sat to the right. While these are common usage in contemporary politics, they actually don't say very much.
At any rate, my conservatism is not what Americans typically call conservative. Because what Americans call conservative is, historically speaking, not conservatism but is, rather, classical liberalism.
(As an aside, what Americans call "liberalism" is actually "radical" liberalism. "Radical," here not meaning as we use the term today, i. e., extremist, but rather as the ancient Greeks used it, meaning "to the root of." The radical liberals agreeing with the classical liberals that liberty is the purpose of government and politics, but arguing that differences in wealth and power in society make that liberty problematic.)
My conservatism, which for convenience I will call classical or Tory conservatism, traces its intellectual pedigree through Aristotle, St. Thomas Aquinas - and probably most importantly - the 18th century British statesman and political philosopher, Edmund Burke, and also the British Prime Ministers Benjamin Disraeli and Lord Salisbury.
In an American context, it shows up in the thinking of Alexander Hamilton and then - almost by historical accident, the American Whig Party, and the former Whig turned Republican, Abraham Lincoln. (It is a great historical "what if" as to what the GOP would have looked like had Lincoln lived and the radical Republicans not gained the ascendancy.)
Classical conservatives believe, unlike American conservatives and liberals, that the purpose of government is to answer Aristotle's first questions of politics, "How ought we to live? What kind of a people do we wish to be?" To which classical conservatives respond that the purpose of government is to nurture civic virtue. To reinforce those habits and customs that make a harmonious and stable social order possible.
Classical conservatives believe in the free market as a tool, rather than an end in itself. They recognize that it is a powerful wealth creator, efficient to some degree, and a guard against an overweening state. However, they believe, as Burke said, "The effect of liberty to individuals is that they may do what they please. We ought see what it will please them to do before we risk congratulations."
Consequently, classical conservatives support an ameliorative welfare state. (The welfare state was invented by two conservatives - Disraeli and Bismarck.) In this they differ from American liberals who see the welfare state as a lever to engineer social transformation.
Tories believe that political philosophy should take as it starting point not human reason, but human nature. That political rights are developed through historical usage, and are not abstract pre-existing. (They don't deny that such abstract rights don't exist. Merely that they are of no practical benefit or use in civil society and law.)
Suffice to say, I could go on, but this summarizes the issue.
We need more Libertarian's to be the Third party , i am sad of the Democratic Party
now for the Republican Party , i would of voted for a good Woman Candidate to be US President as far as Nov 2020 , i believe Donald J Trump will get elected another 4 years i just don't see people supporting Bernie Sanders. He a Socialist Democrat and he ran against Hillary Clinton but she didn't make the General Election. People was sick of the 8 years that was nothing and i believe we need a Political Party who will be strong but can wipe out the Democrats and the Republicans.
Thanks for most helpful guy :)
I dont focus on politics enough to give a genuine answer
According to the test I'm libertarian left

Libertarian left. Used to be more economically libertarian but now I see great value in a strong social safety net. Otherwise you end up with third-world economies with rich people locked in gated communities while the rest of the country falls into ruin.
I have almost always been in libright, but my exact position has fluctuated somewhat throughout the years. At the time of writing this, I am in the process of wrestling with certain personal and political philosophies in order to determine whether minarchism or anarcho-capitalism is more moral, practical, etc. Regardless, it's safe to say that I am in the very bottom-right region of libright.
A few years ago, according to Political Compass, my views fall at:
(4 Left , 2 Libertarian)
I just retook the test, and now it's:
(4 Left, 3 Libertarian)
I guess I became more libertarian over time.
I honestly don't know what that means exactly.
I did this test and was placed on the authoritarian right close to Bush with which I am in full agreement with. I am a pragmatist, and Conservatism that adhere to the right spectrum is the platform that promotes this principle as sensible or at the very least allows its maxim of practical applications of any given theory or value to be taken into account.
When I did this 'test' before, I ended up in the lower left area. Where I think that a '3D' visualisation would be more accurate.
My self assessment:
I'm honestly not sure where I am on the authoritarian to libertarian spectrum, I'm not sure if I'm libertarian or just less authoritarian than our current system. And honestly, I'm not sure how conservative I am, but I am right of center in that regard. But how far right, I'm not sure.
I'm right wing. Multiculturalism does not work, homosexuals and their agendas degrade a societies moral compas and children in believing that its normal and acceptable for a man to stick him penis in another man's bum. It's okay for boys to be girls and girls to be boys. Sign up on the dotted line to have your penis installed and cock lopped off.
I identify as a Left Libertarian. Which is probably why when I take these tests I'm fitted in the libertarian left category.
My main focus is economic rights and justice. I'm slightly more conservative on cultural issues though.
Authoritarian is not the opposite of libertarian. The idea of taxing the rich is not the end of democracy..
The right and left refer to the taxing.
A far Libertarian Left is say an Anarcho-Socialist
A Libertarian Far right is an Anarcho-Capitalist.
An Authoritarian Far left is a Marxist-Leninist
An Authoritarian Far right is a Fascist.
@Waffles731 yeah, that just doesn't make any sense. There is so much more to politics than that..
In the green zone.
I would never be a Libertarian. Being Libertarian is a nice way of saying "I'm a selfish asshole who doesn't care what other people think".
Luckily for us, we don't have to care that you think that!
That said, libertarianism isn't about just being selfish; it's simply about acts of kindness being voluntary rather than under duress at the barrel of a government gun. It's about personal responsibility for one's own actions. It's about caring enough about other people that we don't want to force our own personal ideas on them.
@egarcia1360 enjoy living in a bubble of ignorance. Because Russia is already a libertarian country and we see what happens when the rich rule over the poor.
I have taken the test three times. Last time I got around the middle of Authoritarian Left.
However, this seems to be in terms of American politics.
I'm way beyond right wing in Norway. I am just not as capitalistic.
If you aren’t capitalistic you wouldn’t be right wing in Norway, Denmark, or Sweden. The USA is probably one of the most religious, moralistic, cultures besides the Middle East, but our politics are mostly about healthcare, and welfare.
Probably libertarian right. Out of these 4. Im for whoever is in the
Right. Democrats had a few good ones and as 1 guy put it that party has been hijacked by sjws and hardline commies.
I took a test and I was almost completely to the bottom right. I have repeated on here my view that government should be all about protecting people and their property.
I've never really understood the whole "authoritarian" vs "libertarian" stuff. I would simply consider myself a Social/Moral/Constitutional/Economic/Political Conservative, who is also a Traditional Christian (anti-Zionist)
Authoritarianism is simply a high degree of government control over people's lives, while libertarianism is the opposite. The extreme of authoritarianism is totalitarianism, and the extreme of libertarianism is anarchism.
Given your description, you're definitely auth-right. You can look up and the political compass test if you want more precise results and to learn about what they mean.
@egarcia1360 Well, I'm definitely against Gov control over our lives, and am in favor of having as many laws, regulations and policies at the lowest local levels as possible.
Nowhere, because ideological terminology is fucking stupid and without substance.
I'm a centralist with philosophy of both right and left. But I hate both.
I’m a centrist this be my first presidential or any election.
I did this compass test before, I got libertarian left.
I see you don't have my option up there LOL I'm an independent and I support President Trump.
