I think you should elaborate the point, since feminists are many and come from different, really different points of view.
You don't like them but which ones? The ones that propose what, in what way? The ones that behave like what? I mean...
If we have to take -all- the feminists like an homogeneous group then my opinion is that it's a disorganized group because some ask for gender equity also within the perception of the female gender (as not inferior etc), while other ask for more special helps and supports, indirectly implying that the female gender -is- inferior, intrinsically to the battle itself. To not mention the most debated part about the freedom of the nudity/sexuality, that's the point where the biggest flames happen between feminists.
Still, I think the general activism brought to more justice in the last decade, mainly helping young girls (and young parents) to create an environment that given more options to girls, as much as boys. Feminism permitted also much more mediatic attention about domestic violence, psychological abuses and femicides, allowing the creation of protective entities and centers for these victims. Good thing, in my opinion.10 Reply

@DiscomfortZone One of the problems with "feminism" is that the word means different things to different people.
Equal rights yes not an issue but that isn't the issue the issue is the way they behave, the arguments they make.
Let's take an example, they'll use a false statistic that women are the only victims of domestic violence not true in fact men are most likely to be the initial victim of domestic violence, now then when you understand that it's also not hard to understand why lesbian relationships have the highest of all DV incidents across all relationship type groups. Again they won't admit to that.
They argue for equality but only for cases where they are directly benefitting otherwise they'll sit very quiet. They'll make statements that when questioned on those statements use gaslighting tricks to avoid being called out.
They make claims that all men are evil and when again called out on it go to, well I don't mean all men, or I didn't say all men.
They demand equality for things they already have equal rights on, but again demand that they are protected special little flowers when it comes to things they don't like..
I don't like these people, I don't consider them people because they are at best hypocrites and cowards, they will claim it's about choice but only if a choice you make agrees with them otherwise they throw you right under the bus. They sand that masculinity changes to suit them but won't change to meet men half way, they demand that men change and become more feminine but time and again show that's the very last thing they want.10 Reply
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI support egalitarianism I cannot support feminism though.
I know some feminists personally and they are annoying as hell especially on social media.
I swear these people are grown in a lab and were released because they do nothing but complain about how men are the evil ones when there are plenty of evidence that claim that evil has no gender (just watch TV and it will all make sense). They insist that all men are rapists and are out to get them yet they lack the self awareness to realize that if they really believed that then they wouldn’t have broadcasted that where everyone can see them and instead hide under a floor somewhere. That’s what I would have done.
What’s even worse is that politicians have been listening to these people for decades and allowed stuff like to Duluth model (assumes the man is the aggressor in any domestic violence case unless the woman demonstrates otherwise and it might not even matter then) to exist where it remains today.
I just have no idea where they are getting off saying that they are oppressed especially to this day. It boggles my mind.10 Reply
+1 yWell, if they are feminists because they support feminism then I don't see a problem with them.
I don't have a problem with feminism:
the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes.
People may have problems with feminism but I do not.
I do, however, not appreciate people who hide behind a label and are pushing a different agenda. That goes for any ism.
If a woman or even man, claims to be a feminist just so they can belittle or attempt to oppress members of the same or opposite sex, then I do not respect them.
But if a woman wants the world to be equal for them, then I support their beliefs.213 Reply- +1 y
You're lost dood. Feminism is about hating men and gaining power over them. The majority of them loathe you and everything you stand for. They blame ALL societal ills on MEN. Get a fukkin grip.

@Browneye57 Do you know what feminism is? If you re-read my statement you will see that I have no problem with honest feminists. I do however have an issue with extreme feminists.
Man haters hide behind the 'feminist' title. Just like misogynists hide behind the 'anti-feminist' attitude.
I don't know you but I appreciate your perspective but I think you are trying to make the world black and white when there are endless shades of gray in there.
Somewhat on subject, but are liberals all cucks if they are male and feminists if they are females?
Are all conservatives racist chauvinists?
I am a middle of the road kind of guy that has some conservative views and some liberal views but disliking a woman who labels herself a feminist because she wants equal rights to men is not the way I live.
Feminists who hate me simply because I have a penis? No I do not care for them, but there are all different types of feminists, not just the man hating ones you are referring to. - +1 y

And no that doesn't mean women can lift the same as men, or have a penis like men.
I also am an adult and don't need to throw insults at people when I am trying to have a discussion with them.

Pamela Anderson is a self-admitted feminist. But the way she handles feminism is by her being comfortable with her own skin and her role in a relationship, and not feeling pressured into anything; she's in control at all times.
So when she came out basically criticizing women who went up to hotel rooms of powerful Hollywood execs ("you know what you're getting into when you go to a hotel room, and if you do go, get the job."), and she got beat up for it, she just shrugs it off and doesn't apologize for the way she feels.
THAT is a real feminist. Not the ones that basically dislike men. They're not feminists.10 Reply

+1 yFeminism is one of the great, destructive evils of our time. It is to relationships what communism is to economies and liberty. It's a perversion of Natural Law, and while it might sound good on the surface, it quickly becomes a cancer that eats away at a culture. It makes men and women both miserable and uncertain of their roles in life. It has coarsened society, lead to men competing with women in sports, put women in dangerous positions never before contemplated. (sports, construction, combat) You ladies want to know where all the "good guys" went? they were killed by Helen Gurley Brown, Betty Friedan, and Simone de Beauvoir.

+1 yI think the word “feminist” has gotten a bad rap due to the depictions in social media and in other places. If I’m being charitable and generous with what I think the word means, I think it is supposed to mean a woman/man, but mainly woman, who is fighting for equal rights and treatment of women due to their treatment of being less than equal or inferior to men in a variety of circles from being shunned out of the business meeting room when the men talk, the sexual objectification of women, etc.

I would not say this if feminism would be really all about gender equality, but it's all about gender inequality and act of getting more priority... in the name of women safety... I prefer women safety but I know, if feminism will exists, we can't achieve women safety, because insecurity towards women is the 'weapon for feminism', if you want to keep 'feminism' alive, you must need to keep 'violences towards women' alive... as light needs darkness to prove it's worth, God need devil to prove his... similarly feminist need to keep 'violences against women' in order to have their tiers for it and get advantages over male folks, any form of violence against women need to stay as it is, so that they can easily make it their weapon to get priorities over others in almost all aspects...

These people are communists and the so called feminist movement is based on neo Marxist ideology of class struggle over social power they just don't tell you that. You can easily tell they're not really for women by looking at their silence over grooming gangs in the UK or the gang rape of women in Cologne Germany, utter silence form the so called feminists because it was migrants doing it and not Europeans.

Same way with people who acknowledge innate biological difference between gender and race. Some of that's rational too but bring it too far and you get eugenics and nazism.
So, if I hear someone is a feminist, I consider it possible the person may subscribe to dangerous ideas, but It's best to have an open mind first and find out more.10 ReplyMajority of them are addicted to the anger porn aspect of it. a lot are in it for social reasons. The term has been hijacked and the power of that term been transferred to those that want inequality. Feminists were those that helped women gain the right to vote, amongst other rights we now take for granted. Like the 'N' word, we need to reclaim the power of this word. It doesn't mean what the current mass media wants you to think it to mean, once it meant unity and now they use it to divide. Ironic and sad

I think a feminist in a first world country will likely state false facts and try to change things which won’t make any impact on women’s lives in real (like going out with grown body hair and the fat acceptance movement) instead, they can try helping countries where many women are actually getting abused purely because of their gender. They should be the voices of those women instead of focusing too much on society and their beauty standards.09 Reply- +1 y
Also women in germany are not allowed to sterilize themself till the age of 35+ and when they have kids, rapists only get 1-2 years jail time, in some states of america abortion will be not allowed, in general many women are treated like an animal when they give birth at hospitals, according to many women they get disrespected, get insulted, get touched without their consent, etc. while giving birth. Just becsuse you have it better here, does not mean women does not have serious problems.

Nothing wrong with it! Im just saying 3rd world countries have much bigger issues than women having to shave. I didn't see anybody getting punished because they went out hairy but i have seen women get punished because they refused to wear certain stuff. Nobody cares if you shave or not, will majority think it’s gross? Probably. But i doubt you can force people to think its hygienic and attractive.
I completely understand your points in second paragraph tho. But honestly majority of western feminists i see don’t mention these topics. Instead, they mention things like wage gaps and beauty standards. It’s a shame that women al over the world go through difficulties because of their gender but i also still think feminists from the west can be a helping hand to women who have it much worse.
