Cinderella is spineless af. Couldnt stand up for herself, couldnt even climb out a window. Mulan on the other hand is a warrior savage, blowing up mountains, training in an all men military. she lives out in the middle of nowhere. she could have rid herself of her abuse at any time. it's not like she was imprisoned unless being a single woman is being a victim?

I guess if I think about it, it's not Cinderella herself that is the issue, it's the story-line, with unrealistic situations, and bad lessons. It's not OK to teach people, especially kids, to just "keep on dreaming" because dreams will come true. They often don't, plain and simple. Cinderella was lucky af in her world that a fairy godmother basically waved wand and made everything better. Cinderella did relatively little to get a good ending. Hell, imagine a gender reversed version of this. Like perhaps a poor dude that get a girl through magic. You could say that's what Aladdin was, and it's not my favorite Disney film by any means either, but at least Jasmine was fleshed out a bit. She had personality. The prince in Cinderella said nothing. He was quite literally a rich boy toy. She may have well sought out a money giving dildo. Not much difference.

she is stronger than people give her credit for. she survived terrible abuse escaped. its easy for people to say she should have ran away or fought back or something but its not that easy. she was raised in abuse and conditioned to behave that way, its amazing she was as bold as she was. her step mother already killed her father, she would have no problems killing her as well. she knew her only chance was to escape, and unless she wanted to live broke and penniless on the street her only choice was marriage.

Well, the victim must be blamed in most cases because you should not expect other people to be good. People are wicked. The way life truly is, is predator and prey. Cinderella should have escaped.
