So what do you think? Throughout history, stories, and books, women are often revered as something to deter men from certain goals and paths in lie. Our 'beauty' is seen as something vain and something to be feared if the woman who possesses it only has evil intentions. But you never hear stories about that with men. No one says a woman's weakness is a good looking man.

For example, Claude Frollo in Victor Hugo's The Hunchback of Notre Dame was willing to burn down Paris for a gypsy woman. In the Bible, Eve was a beautiful gift to Adam who enticed him to eat the fruit of good and evil. Then there's infamous Helen of Troy and the battle started over that. Or the story of Samson who told Delilah that he'd lose his strength if he cut his hair.


So what do you think? Is a man's greatest weakness a beautiful woman or is that just hogwash?

False. An awesome woman has more chances of being a man's weakness than a beautiful one.
The reason you don't hear such thing from men in stories, is because most stories back then were from a man's POV. If the character was a hot man, trying to get an ugly woman, no one would buy that book, because no one is gonna feel identified with such man, because no one wants an ugly girl.
The writer isn't gonna write about something he can't even picture.

False. Its a woman who possesses many qualities, and unless he's extremely shallow, he'd like other qualities too. For me a smart woman is essential because there's nothing worse than a woman whose IQ level borders that of a bag of rocks. Also a good cook is important for basic obvious reasons. Loving, caring, empathy, good sense of humor, BEAUTIFUL, honesty, this is just the start, LMAO. Dependable, committed, trustworthy, this is just my opinion so you all keep them coming.

I voted A. In general terms a man that lacks self control is in big trouble with a woman especially if she is wicked.

A woman's vagina is extremely powerful especially if she know how to combine it with words to seduce and trap men. Add beauty to a vagina and it's a double edge sword indeed.

Most of the writers of those stories were men, in a male dominated society and we still are in a male dominated media. Thats why they make women look like prizes.
Even women writers will do the same, just to fit in the norms (which is male dominated, and male POV)
If women would have dominated the society. opposite would have been happening.

It's not about a beautiful woman being the "end all" when it comes to destroying a man. It's the "trouble" a beautiful woman can get him into. Most beautiful women are crazy and don't have any common sense - (and that flirt with danger). It is the "trouble" that she causes that could possibly destroy the man if he's not careful. Her beauty was only the doorway.

nah, its only a weakness for weak minded men. and the reason you dont hear stories about the opposite, ie that handsome men is a weakness for women, is because women in general are always vulnerable around men, regardless if those men happen to be handsome or not. A handsome man can certainly ruin and emotionally abuse some women to a similar degree that a beautiful woman can with some men.
