8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. There is actually a lot that goes into this. First of all it is the need to have an equally big explanation for any given large event.
Lets say we take the destruction of the world trade centers but lets switch up history a bit. Instead of it being a terrorist attack it was just a small accident. Perhaps someone accidentally caused a gas explosion and it somehow miraculously destroyed both buildings.
The fact that something so insignificant could have such a large impact is unsatisfying or unacceptable to some people. They have to justify it with saying it was not just a small accident that caused them so much anguish and grief but a massive conspiracy targeting them personally because that is the only way they could accept something that bad happening to them.
The 2nd thing I want to mention is a fundamental distrust in authority. They do not believe that they are being told the full truth and without access to a reliable source outside of that they often get their "truth" from some crackpot on the internet instead.
Of course there are plenty of other reasons but those are two good starting points in understanding the American psyche.29 Reply- +1 y
I don't know why my comment was deleted but again a gas leak would have been more believable instead of two planes hitting it.
Asker+1 yIt wasn’t deleted it’s still there for me
- +1 y
Not for me. Maybe he deleted it.
Asker+1 yStrange.
- +1 y
@Red_Dragon I would never delete unless it was obvious spam or links to harmful websites.
As for how believable a gas leak taking down the twin towers as well as building 7 that is debatable. If we go with current history its totally unbelievable since the evidence contradicts it but if we go with alternative history we would have to accept that a gas leak somehow caused enough of a fire to weaken the steel beams which is a very big stretch.
Asker+1 yIt must’ve been a glitch.
- +1 y
Yeah I meant with the alternative history. And yeah must have been a glitch.
- +1 y
@Red_Dragon Well I used that example for a couple of reasons. First of all its not targeted like a terrorist attack but an accident, this makes it less likely in a sense. Secondly its an accident not specifically designed to attempt to destroy the towers that an actual attack would have been and lastly its very unlikely to actually have that result considering the damage a gas leak actually would have had on a sky scraper like that.
Basically there are several levels where it becomes unsatisfactory for someone who has to accept it was just a gas leak. - +1 y
No it actually was a gas leak I'd accept it. But I also understand that our government and media needed to make up an excuse so here we are.

The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized.

Yeah, that’s the worst part. They really do think everyone is out to get them, it would be less annoying if they focused on real issues rather than imaginary bullshit. But you can’t fix stupid.

Asker+1 yI don’t know, that’s why I’m asking.
- +1 y
Then you asked your question incorrectly. You should have asked users to state their nationality and whether they endorse any conspiracy theories.
Asker+1 yWhy? Because the only conspiracy theories I see are usually created by Americans, which is why I asked why do Americans think things are a conspiracy. I mean it’s not hard to understand what I said seeing as other people managed to respond with decent answers lol
1.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Haha I was wondering the same thing. Like people come up with the most wild crap.
I don't cause I think it's dumb to over analyze things.15 Reply
Asker+1 yYeah that’s what I notice. But apparently if you point that out they get offended very easily 🙄

Well there are people who have crazy outlandish theories but the government does stage stuff too. So you can't blame people for not knowing who to believe.
Asker+1 yI’m not blaming anyone. It was just a question and I hoped to have some answers to but instead I got called disabled.

I gave you some answers.
Asker+1 yYes I know you did and I thanked you. But there wasn’t any need for that other users comments.

Asker+1 yI’m just asking why some of you think things are conspiracy like, the sandy hook shootings people tried to say that one of the little girls that died was alive
Asker+1 yI just think it’s really disrespectful to the family of the little girl. They had been asking people to quit with the theories that she was alive but they kept on doing it.

Asker+1 yThere’s a whole ass book full of American conspiracies for sale on amazon
- +1 y
Oh okay. Well there's plenty of lies for sale on Amazon. Like what's that Italian actor? I forgot his name but he was in the Godfather. He said he fucked Marilyn Monroe, killed a bunch of people, partyied with Bill Clinton, got kidnapped by Pablo, etc. none of it true. I don't believe in conspiracy but a lot of Americans are waking up to stuff that was kept secret that the media may call conspiracy. But again if you can't give me an example I can't help you
Asker+1 yYeah and people believed that nonsense. But I mean every time something happens they always put it down to conspiracy. Like the sandy hook shootings, people wouldn’t let them families grieve because they created conspiracy theories about some of the kids still being alive and attending different events after the shooting that killed them.
Asker+1 yI even saw a video of an American man creating conspiracies for the Manchester bombings.
- +1 y
Well I'm American and don't believe anything the fool says. And I read the comments on all his videos and they don't either. Even the interviewer doesn't. So maybe other Italians are buying his book? Sandy Hook had a lot of proof both ways. Some of our shootings are stagesd and some aren't. Like there are legal, government, documents that the US government wanted to kill some Americans and blame Cuba during the Kennedy administration. The mob wanted Kennedy to go to war with them too (speaking of). But like the Vegas shooting was a lie. It had to do with Saudia Arabia. There's proof. Tons. I don't know about the Manchester stuff. But our government has lied about a lot so it's reasonable.
Asker+1 yOr it was just a mentally ill person that shot up a school? This is what I mean lol, y’all create conspiracy theories for almost every incident and never accept it for what it is.
- +1 y
I don't know the Sandy Hook thing was weird. You can't. Our government isn't as positive as yours.
- +1 y
Why were witnesses saying they saw two people? Why were there guns on the other side of the building? I believe it was real. I think there are just as many stupid people who believe everything they are told. At least we actually care enough to look into lol. We actually look at facts witnesses video evidence. That's how I know the Vegas shooting had to do with Saudi Arabia. But people like you believe the media who is paid by China and others. Lol. It's really funny... And sad.
Asker+1 ySo basically you’re just an American crazy who thinks everything has a deeper meaning, lol okay have fun with your conspiracy theories
- +1 y
Nope. I just said Sandy Hook wasn't a hoax but again there seems to be some ignorance on your part. Some things are lies and some aren't. That's the point of looking at actual facts instead of what some news anchor says.
- +1 y
By the way what conspiracies do Latin America have?
Asker+1 yYeah and that’s literally all I’m trying to ask before you jumped down my throat. I wanted to know why you guys think there’s a deeper issue with those events but you got defensive.
- +1 y
Well Sandy Hook was real but we had witnesses saying otherwise. Vegas like I told you had to do with the Arabian prince trying to kill his brother. Give me some time and I'll show you. Just busy.
Asker+1 yOkay.
- +1 y
www.google.com/.../
I was just skimming but this should explain it some. - +1 y
- +1 y
Now I think that article was trying to say they were trying to kill Trump or some shit 😂. I don't believe any of the Trump stuff. It had nothing to do with Americans. It was a Saudi cover-up thing. One was trying to kill his brother to become king or whatever they call themselves over there after their father died.
Asker+1 yAh thank you 😊
- +1 y
Yeah it's really not the best article because it gets into the guy's personal views or whatever but it does have facts in it like Bill Gates and the Saudi prince owning the hotel. Etc. Etc. His brother being there. The alleged shooter actually being an arms dealer etc. Because they couldn't carry the guns on planes.
Asker+1 yI see, I never knew about that. Thanks for the information

She believes everything she's told. Ignore her lol. People like her watch the news and thinks she knows everything 😂😂😂
Asker+1 yWhere did I say I know everything? I just asked why do Americans think most things are a conspiracy, no need to get your panties in a twist 😂
Asker+1 yI don’t even watch the news bruh, whenever there’s some kind of major event the first thing to appear on YouTube is conspiracy theories, you gotta live under a rock if you disagree 😂😂
Asker+1 yIt really isn’t that deep, don’t get so worked up. Why are y’all so offended easily geeez
Asker+1 yAnother thing I notice about you Americans, you resort to insults when you have nothing else to say. Very low.
Asker+1 yWell if someone’s posting a video of a conspiracy theory they made up, it’s literally proof that yous post conspiracy theories about major events. Wtf bro 😂😂
- +1 y
@asker I'm not your bruh, bruh. You look at the news otherwise you wouldn't know any of this happens unless you are just obsessed with theories which is weird because most Americans aren't. So what's that say about you? We just want the truth. You rather look up fake stories 😂
Asker+1 yIt’s not the case of believing in it, it’s just something I notice. Whenever there’s some major event, youtube is flooded with conspiracy theories made my Americans.
- +1 y
You started the question with an insult. You just hate Americans I think lol
Asker+1 yYeah maybe you should stop with the popcorn since y’all seem to have an obesity problem
Asker+1 yNo it really wasn’t an insult, y’all just take everything as an insult because you’re so damn offended by everything 😂
Asker+1 yForgive me for what? Asking why you guys come up with so many conspiracies? Are you capable of having a genuine conversation without thinking your better than everyone else and insulting them? Just because you don’t agree with what I think doesn’t mean it’s okay to insult them. But to be honest it’s not surprising that is your mentality considering your president is one giant bully.
- +1 y
Well I eat popcorn and in great shape. Want some photos? "Not insulting my ass lol
Asker+1 yThere’s something very wrong with you. If you’re that offended by everything maybe you should just get off the internet and go back to making out with your cousins.
Asker+1 yHe insulted me before that, which is why I resorted with that.
Asker+1 yIf you start something then I will happily respond with that same energy.
- +1 y
Making out with his cousins? And you're not insulting? Also, that's a white southern Alabama thing. I'm black.
Asker+1 yDid you read what I just wrote? He resorted to insults first so I’m giving the same energy back. Don’t insult me and I won’t insult you. It’s THAT simple.
- +1 y
I sent that before that came up.

@Red_Dragon Its called jealousy. She's probably from some loser nation in Europe.
Britainistan, Francistan, Belgistan, Germanistan, somewhere like that. They will all cease to exist in 50 years and even WE are in trouble. Accordingly, my 12-gauge arrives July 17. For chipmunks, of course.
Asker+1 yJealous of what exactly? 🤨
Asker+1 yI’m genuinely curious as to what your issue is? I asked a legitimate question to which you only responded to with insults and this none sense. I’m inviting you to have genuine conversation but you can’t seem to do it without name calling. I’m going to be the bigger and better person and end this here because it clearly is not within your capabilities to hold a decent interaction with somebody else. It’s clear by the fact that you can’t seem to answer or acknowledge my responses without the insults. Have a good day old man.
Asker+1 yI didn’t say you were insulted, but the fact that you manage to keep yourself entertained by insulting other people says a lot about you as a person.
Asker+1 yEveryone else on this question has managed to respond with a good answer without the name calling apart from you. That also says a lot. I’m not in the slightest jealous, I never said America wasn’t a good country either because it is, but I’m happy to be a citizen of my own country and I say that with pride also.
